BREAKOUTS Each breakout is designed to fit inside one of four tracks to make it easier for you to decide which ones to attend! You can take classes in each of the different tracks. We encourage you to attend breakouts that will challenge and stretch you! If you re trying to learn and grow in your walk with Jesus or have questions about your faith, these breakouts are for you. These hands-on breakouts are great for girls who are looking for a way to use their creative gifts for God s glory! These breakouts are great for high school girls who are looking to grow in their leadership skills and influence. Whether you re a full-time Girls Minister, volunteer, or a mom who wants to know how to walk alongside her daughter during these critical years, we have something just for you. These breakouts were designed to allow you time to connect with and learn from others who are involved in the world of ministry to teenage girls!
BREAKOUT ONE FRIDAY 8:15-9:00 PM ROOM: LITTLE TREE HOUSE FINDING JOY THROUGH BEARING FRUIT MELISSA PAYNE (@MELMPAYNE) Have you lost your joy in the little things in life? Do you look for other things or people to fill you up? Let s see what God s Word says about restoring the joy of our salvation through abiding in Him and bearing fruit. FREE TO BREATHE NIKKI DUTTON (@NIKKDUTTON) In this breakout, we will confront a lot of the anxiety, fear, and worry that we face daily. Honestly, for a lot of us, these things can feel debilitating. Let s look at what Scripture says we inherit as co-heirs with Christ. Practically, how we can begin to breathe exhaling out of the freedom that the gospel gives us. ROOM: THE WOODS CREATED TO CREATE EMILY POWELL (@EMILYPOWELLTV) Come and spend time with the Stage Host to take a biblical look at creativity. You will walk through their process on how to create a spoken word piece. ROOM: THE CHAPEL THE GOSPEL AND FASHION: A THEOLOGY OF HUMILITY CRYSTAL BASHAM & JORDAN MATHER (@CRYSTALLORRAINEBASHAM & @JORDANBMATHER) As young women, knowing what to wear can be the hardest thing, right?! But what if we first asked the question Why? Why do we wear the things we wear and what does it tell the world about us and what we believe? Let s gather and see how the gospel informs and gives freedom to those tough fashion decisions. ROOM: LAKE ISLAND LIVING ON MISSION AMANDA CRAFT (@AC633) Do you feel like God is calling you to missions? Come explore what it looks like to live a life on mission at home and overseas. Not everyone is called abroad but all are commanded to take the gospel to ALL people. Missions is part of everyday living, and it starts with where God has you now. ROOM: STUDENT CENTER 2 + =? AMY-JO GIRARDIER (@AMYJOGIRARDIER) Bring your devices and let s collaborate to figure out what happens when you allow your social media to feature His Story in your story. ROOM 224 STANDING TOGETHER IN SUFFERING AMY BYRD (@AMY_BYRD) Our girls are facing so much suffering in the midst of broken families, sickness, peer pressures, and a culture that seems to be darker by the day. Week by week, girls flood my office with broken hearts searching for peace and comfort. Join me as we learn some practical ways to walk through suffering with our girls through the lens of Scripture. BUILDING COMMUNITY IN YOUR GIRLS MINISTRY KATE MICHAELSEN (@KNMICHAELSEN) As girls, we long to connect, to feel safe, loved, and known. Join us as we talk about creating environments where girls can connect, grow deeper in their relationships with Jesus, and develop lasting relationships in your student ministry.

Join us in this breakout to brainstorm ways you can turn those old hymnals and hymnal pages into art that you can use to minister to others or even to fundraise! We will have examples available of art that we have created in the past, and together we can come up with new ideas of how to use this medium. Come check it out! Hymnals are back baby! But from homosexuality to pornography to masturbation, girls in your church ARE struggling with sexual sin and questions about sexuality. In these two sessions, learn principles for how to talk with girls about sexual sin from a biblical perspective and how to help them address their sin. GIRLS MINISTRY 101 AMY-JO GIRARDIER (@AMYJOGIRARDIER) What have I gotten myself into? At some point in your first two years of leading girls, you may find yourself asking that question. Come find out how to lead the girls God has entrusted to you in the space He has placed you. Leave knowing that you are not alone, and you can do what He has gotten you into.

Whether it s dealing with issues with friends or trying to navigate the world of dating and guys, they can be fun and point to Christ, or they can sometimes be really hard and distracting. You ll hear from people who have wisdom to share with you as we try to honor God and live set free in our relationships. SET FREE TO CREATE When we are dwelling in the spirit of God, there is freedom to be the unique people that He created us to be. In Him, we are free from comparison, free from insecurity, and free to use the gifts He gave us as a creative outlet for His glory. Come hang out and choose from three prints related to the Set Free theme that you will get to paint and take home with you at the end of the session. When we see ourselves and others through the lens of the gospel, a shift in perspective happens. The unlovable can be loved, the broken can be healed, and the lost can be found.

ADVENTURE, NOT DRAMA LESLIE HUDSON (@MYLESLIENOTEBOOK) Your girls are made for adventure! When life doesn t provide that need, they turn everyday life into the adventure they crave... and it looks a lot like drama. In this session, leaders and moms will brainstorm ways to get their girls into the adventure God has called them to live and love. PARENTING ON EMPTY KELLY KING (@KELLYDKING) Mother Teresa once said, To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it. Do you sometimes feel like you are parenting on empty? Are you living out of the things that energize you or drain you? How can you be the mom God has called you to be? It begins by filling yourself with God s Word, but also learning how to prioritize and how to take care of ourselves. This session will focus on developing our physical, emotional, and spiritual growth as well as looking at what it means to biblically rest and take a Sabbath.
BREAKOUT FIVE SATURDAY 2:00-2:45 PM ROOM: STUDENT CENTER 2 CULTIVATING CHRIST-LIKE FRIENDSHIPS MICKEY PITTS (@MICKEYMPITTS) Friendship is one of God s greatest gifts to us, but sometimes it can be one of the most difficult things to navigate. In this session, we will define healthy and unhealthy friendships, discover what it means to be friends forever or friends for a season, and what it looks like to be a Christlike friend. FREE FROM DISAPPOINTMENT NIKKI DUTTON (@NIKKDUTTON) Disappointment is rough. In this breakout, we will really focus in on the ways we ve been disappointed whether in school, relationships, with ourselves, family, anything. How do we deal with disappointment? What does freedom look like in the midst of disappointment? Often in life we set up these finish lines ahead of us if I could just get married, or just get into that friend group, or get accepted into that school only to reach the finish line and realize the problems don t magically melt. But there is good news! The good news is that the gospel is all about promising freedom in the face of disappointment. ROOM: LITTLE TREE HOUSE STUDYING GOD S WORD ON YOUR OWN LESLIE HUDSON (@MYLESLIENOTEBOOK) You know you should study the Bible, but is that even possible without a teacher and a class? YES! In this session we will discuss how to practically put God s Word first in our everyday routine. When we do this, we can experience freedom from sin and God s perfect plan for our life. STAYING SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY KELLY KING (@KELLYDKING) We want to be leaders and moms who live a legacy of faith, yet many times in the midst of chaos and busy schedules, we often don t find time for ourselves or time with the Lord. This session won t focus as much on balance in life, but will focus on developing certain rhythms in your life that will help you grow in your relationship with the Lord.
