Chapter 1: The Eternal Quest 7
Eternal Quest The hope of mankind today lies in the great undiscovered depths within. (pg 1) Greatest discovery: inward revelation and the Truth that sets us free to take the outer step. (pg 3) 8
Self Discovery All discovery is self discovery and all knowledge is self-knowledge. (pg 3) All through the universe there are force potentials. What we have called space is really presence, for there is one continuous, unified, intelligent, and inexhaustible potential that here and there precipitates itself as that which we call matter. (pg 3). 9
Discover The Power Within You Rediscovery of the teaching of Jesus Christ A reappraisal of the achievements of His life Jesus made a breakthrough to the world within, when He demonstrated the miracleworking implications of letting that inner kingdom come in earth as it is in heaven. (pg 5) 10
Exercise 1. What does the power within mean to you? 2. In what ways do you seek to explore your depths in terms of power? 3. In what ways to you seek outside of yourself for power? 4. What qualities do you experience as your power? 11
Chapter 2: The Great Discovery 12
Relationship with God We don t know when it happened or even what happened. We only know that sometime between the His [Jesus] birth and the beginning of his miracle-working ministry at thirty years of age, He achieved a unique relationship with God and became the channel for the expression of powers no one had ever dreamed of. (pg 6) 13
The Great Discovery Jesus realized his full unity with God. The Kingdom of God is within you and me! The Divinity of Man 14
The Message Jesus goal was to help everyone to understand the great potential within human beings and to help us make the break-through for ourselves. His entire teaching is a simple outline of techniques by which we can release our innate potential and be transformed by the power of our own divinity. (pg 8) 15
Christ Consciousness Jesus discovered His own divinity, His unique relationship with the Infinite. He discovered that through faith He could open doors to the inexhaustible Mind of God. He [Jesus] became consciously one with the absolute principle of Being. (pg 9) 16
Follow Me When Jesus says, Follow me, He is referring to our acceptance of the high level of consciousness that He achieved. (pg 9) We must see Jesus as the discoverer of the Divinity of Man, the pioneer and way-shower in the great world of within. (pg 10) 17
Not an object of worship We must carefully study and then emphatically reject our historical tendency to worship Jesus. When He becomes the object of our worship, He ceases to be the way-shower for our own self-realization and selfunfoldment. Come to me. Don t look at me but look to the Spirit as I am looking to the Spirit. See 18
The Christ Christ is not a person. It is not Jesus the man. Christ is a degree of potential that dwells in every man. (pg 12) Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27) 19
The Christ How have you shown up as The Christ today? 20
Chapter 3: The Great Decision 21
What did Jesus really teach? Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. (Matthew 5:17) The alpha and the omega of his teaching was the Divinity of Man (pg 15) Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods? (John 10:34) 22
Religion of Spirit To Jesus, religion was not simply a way of believing or worshipping. It was a way of living. 23
As within so without The nature of our being is such that it is only by a change of consciousness that outer conditions can really be altered. 24
Greatest Problem Be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2) Shall I conform to the human standard of what is being done, even if this standard is not in keeping with the divine standard as I have intuitively sensed it? (pg 18) Believing we are only human. 25
We are: Human in expression Divine in creation Limitless in potentiality 26
Freedom The inward motivation to tame the raw spiritual power that is within us, to harness our divine potential, and to move in the direction of our highest good. 27
Key to Understanding Jesus Teachings Jesus knew that he must realize his unity with God He must act the part of unity He must actually act as if He were the only begotten son of God He must declare I AM 28
I AM.. What qualities do you experience as your power? I am and I am a man/woman of power. I am willing to live my power of. I am willing to step fully into my Christ consciousness. 29
