7 106 Huskers in NFL History Bob Brown (2004) is the most recent Husker in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Bob Devaney's first All-American at Nebraska in 1963, Brown spent 10 seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, the and the Oakland Raiders. Brown (No. 64), who also had his jersey retired by NU in 2004, joined Tom Novak (No. 60) as just the only players in Nebraska history to have their numbers permanently retired. Huskers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame (3) Three former Huskers have earned places among the greatest football players of all time in the hallowed halls of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. A legend at Nebraska, Guy Chamberlin became the premier end of the NFL during the 1920s. He was a player-coach on four NFL championship teams ( , 1926). He concluded his six-year coaching record with a (.780) record. Chamberlin, who was affectionately referred to as "The Champ," earned All-America honors at Nebraska in 1915, before playing and coaching professionally from 1920 to Roy "Link" Lyman pioneered a more sophisticated defensive play with a shifting, sliding style. He starred on four title teams ( , 1924, 1933), and played on one losing team in 16 Huskers in the Super Bowl Super Bowl* II (1967) II (1967) IV, VIII, IX, XI VII (1972) VII (1972) VII (1972) IX (1974) XI (1976) XI (1976) XI, XVIII XIV (1979) XIV (1979) XV (1980) XV, XVIII XVI (1981) XVI (1981) XVII (1982) XIX, XXIII, XXIV XIX (1984) XX (1985) XX (1985) XX (1985) XXII (1987) XXIII, XXIV XXIII (1988) XXIV (1989) XXIV (1989) Player, Position, Team Kent McCloughan, CB, Oakland Raiders Warren Powers, S, Oakland Raiders Mick Tingelhoff, C, Minnesota Vikings Pat Fischer, CB, Washington Redskins Ron McDole, DE, Washington Redskins Ted Vactor, CB, Washington Redskins Joe Blahak, CB, Minnesota Vikings (DNP) Monte Johnson, LB, Oakland Raiders Rik Bonness, LB, Oakland Raiders David Humm, QB, Oakland/L.A.
