1 MAIN GUIDE Christ-Citadel International Church The October Prayer and Fasting Program 1 October to 21 October, 2013 INTRODUCTION Owing to the continuing deterioration of the world economy and the growing of all forms of vice, perversity and criminality and disturbing political situation in some countries due to protests and uprisings, we should continue to fast and pray from 1 st to 21 st October 2013, for the nations in Southern Africa, North Africa and West Africa, the UK and USA and particularly Nigeria, Guyana and others that the Lord will direct.. Leaders should continuously guide and direct the programme with updates and feedback to all existing prayer groups according to the CIC Standing Instruction No.504. Additional prayer points to be organized locally should include a list of business people, sick people, etc. This should be compiled by each national church or local church for more focused prayers. Allocate at least an hour of prayer during Sunday services during the prayer and fasting period. PRAYER GUIDELINES MONDAYS a. Pray separately for each of the following leaders and their spouses and children using Annex OPF 1A: the General Overseer, Bishop Dr. J.A. Ansah; the National Overseers (Ghana & Togo: Rev. Agyare; UK: Rev. DP.K. Mjojo; USA: Rev. V. Akosah; Malawi/DRC/Angola/Uganda/Mozambique: Justice Dr. J.M. Ansah; Zimbabwe: Pastor Anaman). b. Pray for all CIC pastors, assistant pastors, and official intercessors in your country and their spouses and children. Use Annex OPF 1B. your congregation, their spouses and families using Annex OPF 1C. 2. Praying for Ghana, Togo, Nigeria and Other ECOWAS Nations a. Pray for the protection of each of these nations. Present their borders and gates to the Lord to guard them against any demonic importation that may affect their prosperity. Pray the peace of the nations using Isa. 60: b. Pray for the economic restoration of these countries. c. Pray for the protection of their Presidents, cabinet ministers, and other government officials. Pray that the leaders will lead their nations in the fear of the Lord (I Timothy 2:1-3; Job 20; Isa. 28:15-22; 47). MAIN GUIDE - PRAYER AND FASTING - OCT of 8

2 d. Declare Jesus as LORD over these nations. Enthrone Jesus Christ in the hearts of all political, traditional, and civil leaders and other individuals. 3. Praying for other nations a. Pray for the Sub-Saharan Africa that the Lord will grant an answer to HIV/AIDS through His word. Pray that God will heal those infected and affected with HIV/AIDS (Ps. 107:20; Isa 53:1-8; Acts 4:29). b. Pray against civil wars in Africa and that God will protect His children even in such conditions. c. Pray for peace in the Middle East and Jerusalem. Pray that God will make known His plans to the Jews and non-jews amidst anxiety (Ps. 122:6-9). d. Pray for Western World against terrorism and the peace of God in the midst of serious economic challenges. e. Destroy the spirit of Jezebel that brings false trust in pleasure, financial security, military security; technology advancement; sorcery and enchantment. Tear down the veil of Jezebel over nations and that people will see the Desire of All Nations (Isa. 47; Hag. 2:6-7).Use Annex OPF 9 TUESDAYS 2. Pray for Malawi Pray for Malawi using Annex OPF 8 and in particular as follows: a. the spread of the Gospel, the source of power for national salvation (Rom 1:15-17); b. the Body of Christ and leaders to be effective and relevant in these endtimes. Destroy the works of the devil using Annex OPF 9. c. the President and her cabinet to walk in righteousness and fear of the LORD. d. the law, defense and security institutions (the Attorney General, Speaker, Judiciary, Police and Defense Force) for wisdom, sound judgment, prayerfulness and the culture of seeking God s will in all that they do (Isaiah 55:6). Pray for fear of God amongst them (John 6:44). e. Pray that as Malawi turns 50 years of independence, God will restore, release, rebuild, resurrect and avenge for Malawi (Leviticus 25:1-13). 3 2. Praying for Groups in the Local Congregation 2.1 Pray for youth and singles a. Pray that the youth will be strong, love the word of God and overcome the devil (II John 2:14; Psalms 119:11). b. Pray that the youth will use their glory (strength) for the work of the Lord and that the devil shall not manipulate them (Prov. 20:29). c. Pray that the youth will learn to cry to Jesus the keeper of their youth whenever they are confronted with pleasures of this world. That they will endeavour to keep themselves pure like Daniel and his friends in Babylon or Joseph in Egypt (use Prov. 2:1-5). d. Pray that the youth (especially boys) shall not fret to get quick riches (Prov. 1:10-19). e. Pray that the youth shall not sell their birthright in Christ by giving in to sexual immorality (especially girls) because of money. f. Pray for singles that they will celebrate their singlehood as God-given to serve Him with undivided zeal and attention. g. Pray for singles that they will yield to the counsel of the Holy Spirit and Pastors when it comes to marriage issues (II Chro. 20:20). 2.2 Pray for couples a. Pray for those that have just wedded and also those that are preparing to get wedded that God should help them to settle. b. Pray for couples that they will endeavour to protect and keep the covenants of their marriages. c. Pray for couples that they will endeavour to uphold marriage as God s holy sanctuary for the raising of holy offspring (Mal. 2:11-16). d. Pray that husbands will love their won wives and that wives will submit to their own husbands, Christ being their model (Eph. 5:21-33). 2.3 Pray for orphans and widows/widowers that God should sustain them (Prov. 23:10-11; Deut. 27:19; Exod. 22:22-24). 2.4 Pray for children a. Pray for the protection of children from the influence of the devil on their lives be it by way of witchcraft, the education system, technology (TV, internet, etc). b. Pray that children shall honour their parents which is the first commandment with a promise (Eph 6:1-4). c. Pray for children that they will live, grow and do as ordained by God Himself they are arrows in a hand of a worrier (Psalms 127:3-5). MAIN GUIDE - PRAYER AND FASTING - OCT of 8

4 2.5 Pray for men a. Pray for men that as leaders, vision bearers and priests, they will lead (Deut. 16:16-17; Prov. 29:18). b. Pray for men to be revived in their prayer lives (Luke 18:1-8). 2.6 Pray for women a. Pray for women for the spirit of intercession to rise among them so that they can teach the Church intercession (Jer. 9:17-18; Luke 23:27-30). b. Pray that God raise women to be effective messengers of the good news of Jesus Christ (Psalms 68:11). 2.7 Pray for workers in the homes that they will work as unto to the LORD (Eph. 6:5-8). 3. Pray SADC 3.1. General prayers for the Region including the Church - Rom 1:15-17 a. Pray that God will create a conductive atmosphere for the Gospel, making leaders receptive to it and to acknowledge that it is only Jesus that gives hope out of hopeless and impossible situations (1 Tim 2:1-2, Col. 1:27). b. Pray that the Lord will continue to make SADC receptive to the Gospel and for the revival among the Youth and Young Adults. c. Pray for direction and wisdom for the effective evangelisation to groups that are least evangelised. Pray specifically for Moslem areas (Tanzania, Mozambique and Malawi) and pull down altars of Islam as you establish altars for Christ. d. Pray for outreach to the Asian community, especially the Gujarati and Tamil communities. e. Pray for outreach and missionary work in remote tribal communities where tradition is deeply rooted and there is very little knowledge of the saving power of Jesus. Pray that God will use and protect believers that come from these communities as they reach out to their communities. f. Come against corruption, love of money, pride, hypocrisy and prayerlessness creeping in the Church. g. Pray that pastors in churches will equip their members with knowledge necessary for salvation. h. Pray for unity in the Body of Christ. Pray for God s generals to rise up and promote this church unity, speak with one voice, live exemplary lives, and make prophetic declarations that will prosper the nations in SADC and give guidance to all national and community leaders. i. Pray that the church will rise up and re-build SADC nations as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:18). j. Pray that the church will stand in the gap to stop all foreign and demonic invasions through laws that promote godlessness. Pray that God will watch over the gates and walls of SADC. k. Come against all the altars that the devil has planted against SADC region. Come against the spirit of disobedience in the leadership of the region, rebellion spirit, and spirit of division, spirit of war, unforgiveness and bitterness. 5 l. Pray that no weapon forged against SADC will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). m. Foil the plans of evil people who wish SADC bad (Psalm 33:10). n. Pray that God will reveal all the evil plans that the devil is hatching against SADC (Daniel 2:19-23). o. Pray for the enemies of SADC to be shaken out of the space of the region and decree that the brightness of the dawn of SADC will come forth (Job 38:12-15) for the region to prosper in international affairs and trade Prayers for Botswana, the Seat of SADC a. Pray for the protection of Botswana. Present the borders of Botswana and its gates to the Lord that God should guard it. Pray for the peace of the nation. Use Isa. 60: b. Pray that the Lord will restore what the enemy (devil) stole from Botswana through economic mismanagement, etc. Pray for the protection of those in leadership (the President, cabinet ministers, etc). Pray that the leaders will lead Botswana in the fear of the Lord. Use 1Timothy 2:1-3; Job 20; Isa. 28:15-22; 47. c. Pray that Jesus will be LORD of Botswana. That Jesus Christ will be enthroned in the hearts of all political leaders, traditional leaders, civil leaders and the rest of the individuals. a. Pray for the Body of Christ in Botswana that God should sweep away the refuge of lies and falsehood (Isaiah 28:17-19); that those God has anointed to stand for the truth and the purposes of God will stand up (Proverbs 23:23; Proverbs 29:14); that the LORD will appoint true shepherds over His flock (Ezekiel 34:22-26); and that the LORD will gather the flock into His fold (Ezekiel 34:6-10). d. Pray that the Church will rise and be a model to the nation of Botswana in word, conduct and action. e. Pray for revival in the Church that will affect other nations through their representatives in Botswana. THURSDAYS 2. Continue praying for SADC in other areas as follows: 2.1 Prayers for SADC Leadership Malawi & Zimbabwe; and Namibia & Lesotho Overall, SADC is currently chaired by Malawi (deputized by Zimbabwe). The Organ on Politics, Defense and Security is chaired by Namibia (deputized by Lesotho). MAIN GUIDE - PRAYER AND FASTING - OCT of 8

6 a. Pray for these leaders for wisdom, sound judgment, prayerfulness and the culture of seeking God s will in all that they do in leading SADC (Isaiah 55:6). b. Pray that God will draw them closer to Himself and that there will be the fear of God amongst them (John 6:44). FRIDAYS 2. Pray for UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA a. Pray for the protection of these nations. Present the borders of UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA and its gates to the Lord that God should guard them. Set an embargo against any importation of demonic things that will affect the prosperity of UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA. Pray for the peace of the nation. Use Isa. 60: b. Pray that the Lord will restore what the enemy (devil) stole from UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA through economic mismanagement, etc. Pray for the protection of those in leadership (the President, cabinet ministers, etc). Pray that the leaders will lead UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA in the fear of the Lord. Use I Timothy 2:1-3; Job 20; Isa. 28:15-22; 47. c. Pray that Jesus will be LORD of UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA. That Jesus Christ will be enthroned in the hearts of all political leaders, traditional leaders, civil leaders and the rest of the individuals. d. Pray for UK/USA/GERMANY/JAPAN/CHINA/BRAZIL/INDIA using the prayer points in Annex OPF Praying for Church Establishment Enlarging Borders a. Pray for intercessors who support evangelism work: Pray against the spirit of pursuers that works against intercessors (Joshua 2). b. Pray to acquire beachheads (Jericho): Pray and thoroughly clean up any strongholds in the cities and districts designated as CIC s strategic entry points to the different nations. Each and every city/district should be prayed for (Joshua 6). c. Ambush Pursuers: Pray and lay an ambush against any spirit that tries to truck us down as we progress with the work of ministry spirits of frustration, abandonment, discouragement, forsaking, fatigue, complacency, false contentment, etc (Joshua 8). 7 d. Uncover Gibeonite spirit: Deal with the spirit of deceit that tries to plant deceit in the Church (Joshua 9). The spirit of deceit brings excess baggage (excess responsibility) in the church. Pray for its exposure and elimination. e. Deal with the spirits of regrouping: Pray against any forces of the enemy that may regroup against the work of the Lord (Joshua 10; 11). f. Pray for Ensuring inheritance: Pray that the rest of the Lord be upon Churches and congregations of the Lord already established (Joshua 14; 15:13-19; 17:14-18; Judges 1:19; 4:3,13). SATURDAYS 2. Continue praying for SADC in other areas as follows: 2.1. Prayers for Security and Political Situation DRC and Madagascar DRC which accounts for 27 per cent of the SADC s population and rich in natural resources continues to suffer setback through civil wars. Madagascar remains in bondage of political squabbles; and the current government is not a constitutional government and is not recognized by SADC and other international organizations. a. Pray that God will call wars to seize in DRC and will rebuild the nation (Psalms 46:9). b. Pray that God will appoint leaders in DRC who are after developing the nation and not robbing it. c. Pray for God to restore peace and order in Madagascar. d. Pray for peaceful, free and fair elections planned for October 2013 to restore constitutional normalcy in Madagascar. d. Pray for the Church to rise up in DRC and Madagascar; and be strong in the LORD despite circumstances Prayers for peaceful, free and fair elections A total of four Member States: South Africa, Malawi, Botswana and Mozambique will go to the polls between October 2013 and December There is need to pray for these nations for peaceful, free and fair elections; and that people who fear God and are ready to lead in righteousness will be elected. a. Pray that preparations leading to the elections will be peaceful and free; and that campaigns will be based on issues and not mudslinging. MAIN GUIDE - PRAYER AND FASTING - OCT of 8

8 d. Pray that God will sift out leaders that have plundered resources and that they will not be given a chance to rule. e. Pray for the revival, renewal and reformation of the Body of Christ; and of Church leaders in these nations. f. Pray that the Church in these nations that it will demonstrate an example of genuine leadership to governments, institutions, communities and families Prayers for socio-economic challenges a. Pray for God to heal the nations in SADC affected by HIV and AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis (Isaiah 53). b. Pray that the Church shall be relevant in bringing godly solutions to the epidemics/pandemics affecting SADC region. c. Pray and uproot all forms of corruption and mismanagement of resources that bring about poverty in the region. d. As an economic hub of the region, pray for socio-economic healing of South Africa including poverty and violence. SUNDAYS 2. Praying for Church Members and Services a. Pray for children, all church members and church workers according to Annex OPF 1D. b. Pray for Church services taking place in your congregation and other CIC congregations. Pray for God s presence to teach, heal, deliver and save souls. c. Pray for other ministries and churches that fellowship with you. Pray that the LORD will visit them and minister His love, power and presence. 3. Pray for the Church projects in your local and national churches, e.g. Chirimba Church Building; Bangwe Church Building; Zomba Church Building; Area 47 Church Building, Mzuzu Church Building and Area 25 Church Building in Malawi/DRC/Angola/Namibia; acquisition property for CIC in Los Angeles, USA, etc. that the Lord will stir the hearts of His people to give towards the completion of these projects. 4. Pray that leaders and congregations will destroy the works of the devil through Lawlessness and seducing spirits using Guyana as a point of contact for all the nations prayed for in the week(use Annex OPF 9) MAIN GUIDE - PRAYER AND FASTING - OCT of 8
