DONOR INFORMATION The papers were donated to the State Historical Society of Missouri by Mrs. John Trotwood Moore on 15 December BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Henry Clay Daniel was a lawyer from Missouri. After Congress passed the Bowman and Tucker Acts, he began handling Civil War claims for allowance. In addition to his practice, Daniel held several political posts and invested in real estate. Included in this folder: a bound volume containing claim data, a copy of H.R of the 63 rd Congress and a notebook giving the status of certain claims. f. 39 Information pertaining to rents and miscellaneous claims.
