11 O lder Adult Ministries Monday, October 26, 2015 Everyone knows that Washington, D. C. is a city of secrets. There are secrets in the White House, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court. There are secret files in the Pentagon, the FBI, CIA, NSA, and a veritable alphabet soup of federal agencies. Yet, the greatest secrets in the nation s capital are not locked in a vault or under 24-hour guard. Washington s greatest secrets are hidden in plain sight. They are the secrets of Ancient Egypt and of its influence on the development of the United States and its capital city. America s founding fathers were profoundly influenced by the Ancient Egyptians. Egypt is on the Potomac, but you will never know it if you do not know what to look for. It is hoped that these words by Egyptologist Anthony Browder will entice you to join us at the 138th Annual Gathering and hear just how he will decode for us the symbolism in D.C. found in the buildings and their surroundings. You will be fascinated to learn the role that the 16 th Street corridor plays in our connection to Egypt. Scripture tells us that we perish because of a lack of knowledge, and that we are to arm ourselves by putting on the full armor of God in order to fight against the devil. Browder is the founder and director of the Institute of Karmic Guidance, a culturally oriented organization which is dedicated to the dissemination of ancient Egyptian history and metaphysics. Mr.

He has lectured extensively throughout the United States, Mexico, Africa, Japan, and Europe, on topics pertaining to African and African American History and Culture. Mr. Browder is the founder and director of the Institute of Karmic Guidance, a culturally oriented organization which is dedicated to the dissemination of ancient Egyptian history and metaphysics. Mr. Browder holds fast to the beliefs that ancient Africans wee the architects of civilization and that they developed the rudiments of what has become the scientific, religious, and philosophical backbone of mankind. It is from this framework that IKG has concentrated its research. and disseminated its findings. Monday, October 26, :00 PM Opening Session Chaplain Barry Black is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and an alumnus of Oakwood College, Andrews University, North Carolina Central University, Eastern Baptist Seminary, Salve Regina University, and United States International University. In addition to earning Master of Arts degrees in Divinity, Counseling, and Management, he has received a Doctorate degree in Ministry and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology. Chaplain Black has been selected for many outstanding achievements. Of particular note, he was chosen from 127 nominees for the 1995 NAACP Renowned Service Award for his contribution to equal opportunity and civil rights. He also received the 2002 Benjamin Elijah Mays Distinguished Leadership Award from The Morehouse School of Religion. In 2004, the Old Dominion University chapter of the NAACP conferred on him the Image Award, "Reaffirming the Dream -- Realizing the Vision" for military excellence.
