Carried A special note of thanks to Russel Staab, for a generous donation of locks for door prizes. Only one item was given to each member present. The rest will be used for the July meeting. This form was omitted from the October 2017 edition my oversight. For those who have already paid 2018 dues, thank you. Annual dues are our principal source of income. Class fees are set in advance, based on the expected cost of the class and our estimate of attendance. I ve listed the proposed 2019 meeting schedule on page 1. For each of the remaining 2018 meetings and all of the proposed 2019 dates, I m asking: Are you planning or likely to attend? Are there any potential schedule conflicts? What types of classes are you most interested in? Please take time to call, text or me, before the July meeting. We have renewed our agreement with American Income Life, for additional member benefits. There will be another mailing, with more complete information, later this summer. Grady

Saturday, July 21, :00 AM Business Meeting 9:00 AM Class begins SAFE DEPOSIT SERVICING Mick McManis, CPL Instructor This class is structured for the technician who seeks more experience and knowledge in the world of safe deposit locks. Each student will have the opportunity to disassemble 3 or more locks, identify their parts by name, and understand their structure in regard to how to open each by various methods with the proper tools. This is definitely a hands on class, all tools and locks will be provided. If you have a problem lock, or any with questions, the instructor wishes that you will bring them to the class. This helps out everyone. Various other locks will be discussed as time allows. Mick started his locksmith career in 1976 in Marysville, KS. He decided to specialize in safe deposit locks. With many years of collecting obsolete safe deposit locks moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1996 and formed the company, Safe Deposit Specialty, that specialized in helping others with their lock and part needs. Today he is well known through out the USA. Mick McManis is also well known for everything he did for NLA.
