1 Zero Zelienople Rotary Weekly Bulletin DECEMBER 9, 2016 CLUB CHARTERED 1924 NO DISTRICT 7280 Christmas Party at Camp Kon-O-Kwee Rotary members and their guests were greeted with a beautiful holiday setting at the main dining hall at Camp Kon-O-Kwee, with lights, winter greenery and a roaring fire. Lots of great conversations and delicious food followed through the evening. President Ron Elliott welcomed all attendance, including four guests from the Lions Club of Zelienople two from the Rotary Club of Evans City. George Measel gave the blessing before dinner. 2 ZERO ZELIENOPLE ROTARY WEEKLY BULLETIN 2 Rotary Foundation Presentations Archie Simpson, Rotary Foundation Chair, described the history of the Foundation and the good it does around the world, including $3 billion spent on humanitarian and community projects since it started. Raising the subject of polio and Rotary s work to eradicate the disease that has hurt so many around the world over many years and is still causing human damage in two or three countries Archie said, We are so close. We are not finished yet. We need to keep supporting the Foundation. Archie and committee member Kathy Corcoran recognized some club members who have reached certain levels of giving to the Foundation. Don Burgess, Beth Marshall and Jeff Simmons were presented with Paul Harris +1 Awards. Norb Belsterling, a club member and leader for 60 years, was awarded a Paul Harris +6!

Here is information from Craig Lutz, regarding what to do when you get to the church: Park behind the church or behind Boylan s Funeral Home. Enter the back of the church on the left side where the awning is. The door on the left goes straight down to meeting room. The door on the right goes to the elevator, which is to the right. Go 1 floor down. We are looking for someone to run to be president after Charlie Deer serves. Contact President Ron if you are interested or want more information.
