Canyoneering The sport of Canyoneering stretches back more than 12,000 years in the plains of Southern Utah.

Zion Ponderosa offers our adventurers the unique opportunity to explore these canyons by climbing, bouldering, rappelling, and swimming.

2 Canyoneering The sport of Canyoneering stretches back more than 12,000 years in the plains of Southern Utah. The ancient tribes who inhabited this landscape would navigate the slot canyons of Zion to gather plants and berries while hunting Woolly Mammoths, Giant Sloths, and Camels. Southern Utah is internationally recognized for its green, lush canyons tightly enclosed by towering, red sandstone walls. Zion Ponderosa offers our adventurers the unique opportunity to explore these canyons by climbing, bouldering, rappelling, and swimming. But don t let this description scare you! Though this activity is high-adventure, you will be under the supervision of our expert guides who will ensure that the experience is both safe and enjoyable for all.
