Rigby was born at Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England January 29, His father was a Methodist preacher and was rarely ever at home. His mother died giving birth October 12, When he was 15 years old, he left his stepfather to live in Stockport with his mother s sister. He was baptized September 8, 1848, in Stockport, England. He married Mary Clark August 9, He served a mission from January 1, 1887-July 7, March 16, 1901, William F. Rigby passed away. William F. Rigby kept a very extensive journal of his life. The register contains his whole journal, pictures, patriarchal blessings, and many other miscellaneous items.
