2 The 70th Annual National Lectureship Track Descriptions The 70th Annual National Lectureship of Churches of Christ, promises to provide a holistic learning environment that is designed to empower, educate, and edify all who plan to be in attendance. This being the case, and the motivation behind our intent, we are offering a variety of study tracks, providing you with the opportunity to customize your learning experience. We have anticipated that your interests may be very specific to a particular content of learning, or perhaps you wish to experience a variety, in which you can sample from all tracks. To this end, each attendee will have the opportunity to follow a specific track emphasizing a particular content, or navigate through a variety of content categories. This having been carefully considered, please find below a description of the various tracts: Commander s Track The Commander s Track is a study of the theological category of Apologetics. Apologetics is a systematic approach to examining the various arguments, which substantiates the claims of the Christian faith. This track promises to provide you with the necessary information regarding the claims of Christianity that will cause the Christian to be stabilized in biblical convictions, and confident to be mobilized in active evangelism. Admiral s Track This particular track is designed to empower and equip preachers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which have a multifaceted task to function effectively as proclaimers of the unsearchable riches of Christ, and administrators of the local church. Subjects will range from an introduction to original languages to the techniques necessary for sermon preparation. This track will provide training and development in a variety of areas that are essential ingredients to the success of faithful ministers. Navigators Track This track is designed to enhance effectiveness in the area of ministry development and execution. In light of the fact that many of our congregations are actively engaged in creating and developing relevant ministries to enhance the life and mission-mindedness of the local church, or beginning to explore adding ministries to its repertoire, this track seeks to introduce effective models of ministry that have been proven effective. This study track approaches a variety of ministries ranging from the outreach methodologies of evangelism to the in-house edification of the education ministry, and much more! Seaman s Track This track is a series of special topics that are germane to the entirety of the body of Christ. Within the scope of this study cell, there will be a variety of trainings that will approach issues of Christian living, a survey of various bible doctrines, and biblical principles relative to practical Christianity th Annual National Lectureship Atlanta, Georgia
