Exdus Our study f Exdus is cming t clse The stry f Mses and Israel freed frm slavery with great pwer and miracles, brught int a cvenant, and given a new relatinship with the Lrd is remarkable t say the least I encurage yu t revisit this study again smeday Yu ll prbably find there were many things that escaped yur ntice the first time But fr tnight, we ve gt five chapters f scripture t cver Yu might wnder hw we re ging t cver s much grund in an hur The answer is simple...we re nt We will certainly read every verse...after all, this is VBVM! But mst f the material we re cvering tnight is an almst wrd-fr-wrd repetitin f the instructins the Lrd gave Mses in chapters cncerning the tabernacle S as we read thrugh thse chapters, we wn t pause t cmment n mst f it Except t nte hw attentive t detail Mses and the peple were in executing the Lrd s instructins Having said that, this des nt mean there aren t pprtunities t teach and learn frm the material tnight On the cntrary, we find several places where the text raises new ideas r issues we can examine And in the end, we will alls celebrate cncluding anther indepth study f a bk f scripture I knw I will Let s remember what transpired in last week s lessn The peple f Israel had sinned against the Lrd and brken the cvenant 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 S the Lrd tld Mses that the peple wuld g frward t the Prmised Land, but He wuld nt dwell with them Therefre, the tabernacle was n lnger needed In respnse, Mses interceded and appealed t the Lrd fr grace And the Lrd respnded t Mses request by granting a new cvenant, ne f grace The cvenant was granted t Mses and t the natin But Gd reserved the right t extend His grace t whm He chses Meanwhile, He als renewed the cvenant f Law With the SInai cvenant reinstated, the building f the tabernacle is revived as well This explains why the breaking and the renewing f the cvenant is sandwiched in between the giving f the tabernacle instructins and the building Unless the cvenant was renewed, there wuld have been n reasn t build Everything hinged n the Lrd renewing His ffer t dwell in their midst S nw the cnstructin f the tabernacle can prceed, and that brings us t chapter 35 Ex. 35:1 Then Mses assembled all the cngregatin f the sns f Israel, and said t them, These are the things that the LORD has cmmanded yu t d: Ex. 35:2 Fr six days wrk may be dne, but n the seventh day yu shall have a hly day, a sabbath f cmplete rest t the LORD; whever des any wrk n it shall be put t death. Ex. 35:3 Yu shall nt kindle a fire in any f yur dwellings n the sabbath day. As cnstructin begins, Mses first reminds the peple that thugh the cnstructin f the tabernacle is imprtant, it can t take precedence ver the Sabbath 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 In fact, n instructin in Gd s wrd can be excuse t vilate anther instructin The natin f Israel had been given bth the Sabbath and the instructin t build the tabernacle They needed t bserve bth And in anything we ve been given in Gd s wrd r as persnal cnvictin by the Spirit, we need t perfrm as well But we must perfrm these things in unin with the rest f Gd s wrd as it pertains t us We can t use ne cmmand as excuse t vilate anther I ve heard Christians excuse their lack f cnsistent Bible study by claiming they dn t spend like t spend t much time in study since we re called t be ders f the wrd S they excuse their wn lack f schlarship in the wrd by pinting t ther instructins in the Bible that cmmand us t live ut ur faith They have taken ne instructin f scripture and set it against anther As if ne is an enemy f the ther Clearly, this isn t the way t understand and apply the Bible s teaching Scripture tells us t be life-lng students f the wrd, giving urselves ver t it in a sincere and cnsistent manner And then it als says t life it ut actively In fact, we can t successfully d ne withut the ther! Having set that expectatin, Mses then instructs the peple t cntribute the building f the tabernacle thrugh giving Ex. 35:4 Mses spke t all the cngregatin f the sns f Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD has cmmanded, saying, Ex. 35:5 Take frm amng yu a cntributin t the LORD; whever is f a willing heart, let him bring it as the LORD S cntributin: gld, silver, and brnze, 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Ex. 35:6 and blue, purple and scarlet material, fine linen, gats hair, Ex. 35:7 and rams skins dyed red, and prpise skins, and acacia wd, Ex. 35:8 and il fr lighting, and spices fr the aninting il, and fr the fragrant incense, Ex. 35:9 and nyx stnes and setting stnes fr the ephd and fr the breastpiece. Ex. 35:10 Let every skillful man amng yu cme, and make all that the LORD has cmmanded: Ex. 35:11 the tabernacle, its tent and its cvering, its hks and its bards, its bars, its pillars, and its sckets; Ex. 35:12 the ark and its ples, the mercy seat, and the curtain f the screen; Ex. 35:13 the table and its ples, and all its utensils, and the bread f the Presence; Ex. 35:14 the lampstand als fr the light and its utensils and its lamps and the il fr the light; Ex. 35:15 and the altar f incense and its ples, and the aninting il and the fragrant incense, and the screen fr the drway at the entrance f the tabernacle; Ex. 35:16 the altar f burnt ffering with its brnze grating, its ples, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; Ex. 35:17 the hangings f the curt, its pillars and its sckets, and the screen fr the gate f the curt; Ex. 35:18 the pegs f the tabernacle and the pegs f the curt and their crds; Ex. 35:19 the wven garments fr ministering in the hly place, the hly garments fr Aarn the priest and the garments f his sns, t minister as priests. Ex. 35:20 Then all the cngregatin f the sns f Israel departed frm Mses presence. Ex. 35:21 Everyne whse heart stirred him and everyne whse spirit mved him came and brught the LORD S cntributin fr the wrk f the tent f meeting and fr all its service and fr the hly garments. Ex. 35:22 Then all whse hearts mved them, bth men and wmen, came and brught brches and earrings and signet rings and bracelets, all articles f gld; s did every man wh presented an ffering f gld t the LORD. Ex. 35:23 Every man, wh had in his pssessin blue and purple and scarlet material and fine linen and gats hair and rams skins dyed red and prpise skins, brught them. Ex. 35:24 Everyne wh culd make a cntributin f silver and brnze brught the LORD S cntributin; and every man wh had in his pssessin acacia wd fr any wrk f the service brught it. Ex. 35:25 All the skilled wmen spun with their hands, and brught what they had spun, in blue and purple and scarlet material and in fine linen. Ex. 35:26 All the wmen whse heart stirred with a skill spun the gats hair. Ex. 35:27 The rulers brught the nyx stnes and the stnes fr setting fr the ephd and fr the breastpiece; Ex. 35:28 and the spice and the il fr the light and fr the aninting il and fr the fragrant incense Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Ex. 35:29 The Israelites, all the men and wmen, whse heart mved them t bring material fr all the wrk, which the LORD had cmmanded thrugh Mses t be dne, brught a freewill ffering t the LORD. Mses tells the peple that the Lrd asked Mses t take a cllectin frm amng the peple And the cllectin wuld be taken frm thse will a willing heart The wrd fr willing in Hebrew is nadib, which means inclined t be generus Mses was t seek frm amng generus hearts within the peple The list f items includes all the essentials needed fr the tabernacle as Gd directed earlier What are the dds that every kind f diverse material and item Gd required fr the cnstructin f the tabernacle wuld just happen t be fund in the pssessin f the natin? Clearly, the Lrd had svereignly planned fr the peple t acquire these items as they left Egypt, s they culd be emplyed in the building f the temple But then Mses says in vs that the items were given freely by thse whse hearts stirred and whse spirits were mved The wrd translated stirred in v.21 is nasah, which means t be lifted up It cnveys the sense f an utside frce acting n the heart And we knw the that utside actr is the Lrd s Spirit, mving the hearts t meet the need Then later in the verse, it says that every whse spirit mved came frward S the Spirit s stirring caused men t them act accrding t the mvement f their hearts Again in v.22 it says that thse with hearts that were mved came frward 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Then we see the effect f this mvement f the Spirit amng the peple Ntice that thrughut the passage I read we see mentins f every man and everyne and all wh had smething t ffer came frward The text makes clear that there are n hlduts Everyne is cming frward willingly and giving what they have fr the tabernacle This is a 100% participatin rate Which is what we wuld expect since the Lrd has mved hearts t respnd Men wh are mved by Gd will act accrding t His will But then in v.29, Mses sums up the prcess by emphasizing that this ffering t the Lrd was a freewill ffering T ur mdern ears, this phrase carries laded and distrted meaning Many assume this term means acting entirely free f utside influence - including free f Gd s influence That has becme the cmmn understanding f free will in the culture including the church culture f tday There is Gd s will and there is man s will And many teach that Gd has created man with a will that perates cmpletely independently f Gd s will In fact yu will ften hear peple thrw arund the cmment that it s a sign f Gd s lve that he allws us t have free chices And n the cntrary, it wuld be unlving fr Gd t intervene in men s lives and verride ur desires This passage sets the recrds straight and crrects thse false ntins f Gd and man s will First, the definitin f a freewill ffering means a vluntary ffering It is the ppsite f a mandatry r cmpulsry ffering The terms is describing nature f the request and respnse 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Mses says the giving act is vluntary He des nt require the peple t give S when they give, it is a vluntary act, a freewill gift But the term freewill in this cntext des nt mean free f Gd s influence The passage makes clear this act was nt free f Gd s influence The text says plainly that the Lrd rchestrated a mvement in the hearts f these peple They are reacting t the Spirit s leading They came frward t give because the Lrd spurred it And we can see further evidence f the Lrd s influence in the fact that everyne participates N ne in a natin f ver 2 millin hld back frm the Lrd This kind f participatin clearly reflects hw the natin is being led by the Lrd S a freewill ffering desn t mean an ffering absent Gd s influence It means that n man cmpelled the giving It was a vluntary gift Secndly, let s deal with the false ntin that Gd s lve is evidenced by His unwillingness t intervene in ur free will The Bible s definitins f lve never include a mentin f free will Lve is defined as sacrificing neself fr anther Fr Gd s lved the wrld that He gave His nly begtten Sn... The Bible says this 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Rm. 5:6 Fr while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died fr the ungdly. Rm. 5:7 Fr ne will hardly die fr a righteus man; thugh perhaps fr the gd man smene wuld dare even t die. Rm. 5:8 But Gd demnstrates His wn lve tward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died fr us. Furthermre, ur wn experience as parents raising children tells us that the truth is the ppsite f this ntin If yu lve yur child, d yu shw that lve by refraining frm intervening in their free will? If yu lve yur child, d yu allw them t rule themselves? Yur child will certainly lve it, at least at first And if yu ask yur child hw best t shw yur lve t them, they will likely tell yu that want yu t leave them alne and have what they want That s where this ntin cmes frm t Gd s children, immature and uninfrmed f what the wrd says, have prpsed a rule fr themselves We said we think Gd shws us lve by nt intervening in ur free will It s the same lie, brn f pride, that the enemy sld in the Garden What is the truth? A healthy, happy child is created when a parent frequently intervenes t cntrl his will Parents are cnstantly impsing their will n the child, and they d s because they lve their child What d we say abut a parent that will nt cntrl a child s free will? We say they are bad parents S is it reasnable t say that Gd s lve is fund in His willingness t let us d whatever we please absent any interventin? If we knw it s a gd thing when an imperfect, weak human parent intervenes t cntrl the will f his child 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Then why d we say it s a bad thing fr a hly, perfect, wise and strng Gd, Wh has the pwer t lead His children int all righteusness, t intervene in ur will? It s simply illgical The Bible says we were helpless t save urselves, s the Lrd had t intervene t save us Left t ur wn will, we wuld have perished Thank the Lrd He lved us s much that He intervened t impse His will upn us S the Lrd stirred the hearts f Israel t d the right thing when the request came, and s they willingly respnded t Mses request With their respnse, the Lrd ensures that Mses receives what He needs Therefre, the time cmes t put all that material t use S nw the natin needs a team f wrkman capable f building what the Lrd wants Ex. 35:30 Then Mses said t the sns f Israel, See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the sn f Uri, the sn f Hur, f the tribe f Judah. Ex. 35:31 And He has filled him with the Spirit f Gd, in wisdm, in understanding and in knwledge and in all craftsmanship; Ex. 35:32 t make designs fr wrking in gld and in silver and in brnze, Ex. 35:33 and in the cutting f stnes fr settings and in the carving f wd, s as t perfrm in every inventive wrk. Ex. 35:34 He als has put in his heart t teach, bth he and Ohliab, the sn f Ahisamach, f the tribe f Dan. Ex. 35:35 He has filled them with skill t perfrm every wrk f an engraver and f a designer and f an embriderer, in blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and f a weaver, as perfrmers f every wrk and makers f designs. Just as Gd s Spirit led the peple t give, s He will guide the hands f the wrkmen t craft exactly what the Lrd needs built We already heard that Gd wuld call and equip Bezalel t lead the effrt and here we see it happen He is filled with the Spirit 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 The term filled with the Spirit is anther misunderstd term in Christendm When used in the cntext f preparing a persn t respnd t Gd s call (like the respnse t build the tabernacle), it means the Spirit s cntrl ver a persn Like tday we might say that smene is filled with jealusy We mean they are cntrlled by their jealusy S here we see Bezalel filled, that is cntrlled, by the Spirit fr the purpse f fulfilling his call t build the tabernacle He is filled in fur ways: wisdm, understanding, knwledge, and craftsmanship Wisdm refers t an ability t make wise judgments, insightful decisins, based n experience Slmn had wisdm Our elders ften acquire wisdm after living many years and making many mistakes Understanding means discernment, the ability t reasn thrugh a set f facts and appreciate their true significance A gifted Bible teacher culd be said t have an understanding f Gd s wrd Jseph and Daniel had understanding f the dreams Gd gave t Gentile rulers Knwledge is an acquiring f learned facts and the applicatin f thse facts Luke, authr f the Gspel, was a dctr wh demnstrated a knwledge f the facts f Jesus life And he endeavred t cllect that knwledge and reprt it accurately Finally, Bezalel was given craftsmanship, which is the skill f wrking in raw materials t create finished gds In his case, he was gifted t wrk in silver, brnze, stne, wd, setting precius stnes, carving and ther inventive wrks 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Nrmally, a craftsman wuld wrk a lifetime t becme an artisan in just ne f these Bezalel will have the ability t d all these things with great skill Is there any dubt remaining that the Lrd verrides ur will by His Spirit t accmplish His wrk? Hw else culd we explain this man s ability t perfrm such amazing wrk ut f the blue? Clearly, the text says the Spirit filled him t enable this talent And alng with him, Gd raises up ther men and gifts them as well This pattern is smething we discussed in an earlier lessn But it bears repeating here...gd s wrk never ges unfinished fr lack f men r materials As we see in the pening f chapter 36 Ex. 36:1 Nw Bezalel and Ohliab, and every skillful persn in whm the LORD has put skill and understanding t knw hw t perfrm all the wrk in the cnstructin f the sanctuary, shall perfrm in accrdance with all that the LORD has cmmanded. Ex. 36:2 Then Mses called Bezalel and Ohliab and every skillful persn in whm the LORD had put skill, everyne whse heart stirred him, t cme t the wrk t perfrm it. Ex. 36:3 They received frm Mses all the cntributins which the sns f Israel had brught t perfrm the wrk in the cnstructin f the sanctuary. And they still cntinued bringing t him freewill fferings every mrning. Ex. 36:4 And all the skillful men wh were perfrming all the wrk f the sanctuary came, each frm the wrk which he was perfrming, Ex. 36:5 and they said t Mses, The peple are bringing much mre than enugh fr the cnstructin wrk which the LORD cmmanded us t perfrm. Ex. 36:6 S Mses issued a cmmand, and a prclamatin was circulated thrughut the camp, saying, Let n man r wman any lnger perfrm wrk fr the cntributins f the sanctuary. Thus the peple were restrained frm bringing any mre. Ex. 36:7 Fr the material they had was sufficient and mre than enugh fr all the wrk, t perfrm it. Mses tells the wrkmen t begin the cnstructin And even as the wrk begins, the gifts frm the peple cntinue t arrive 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Every mrning there is yet anther cntributin awaiting the wrkmen Cnstructin is underway, and yet mre dnatins are made This reminds us f Paul s statement in Ephesians Eph. 3:20 Nw t Him wh is able t d far mre abundantly beynd all that we ask r think, accrding t the pwer that wrks within us, Gd s wrk never ges unfinished fr lack f supply Gd supplies what is required fr His wrk And He can always d mre than we imagine r expect But dn t verlk that He chse t bring that prvisin thrugh the hands f individuals wh respnded t the Spirit s leading Never sit n yur supply and assume that Gd will raise it smewhere else The fact that Gd can raise mney withut yur help desn t acquit us fr failing t supprt Gd s wrk when the Spirit leads us t d s We are expected t be as generus as these Jews Eventually, Mses says turn ff the spigt There was mre than enugh material t supprt the cnstructin And mre wuld be unneeded Therefre, cllecting mre than was needed fr Gd s wrk was nt helpful This example frms a pwerful cunter principle t the earlier truth that Gd s peple shuld be generus t fund Gd s wrk A ministry r wrk f Gd shuld nt seek t btain mre than it needs t supprt the wrk Gd has cmmanded Ministries are nt banks We are nt called t sit n large amunts f mney 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 We are called t be funnels, that receive and then pur it ut again And when the supply exceeds the need, dn t seek mre until the need resumes This can be difficult t manage precisely, but in general terms supprt shuld be put t use, And if it can t be used, then allw it t g smewhere else where it can be put t wrk Nw we enter the chapters devted t the cnstructin f the tabernacle and its furnishings The rder f the descriptin is different than the rder in which the Lrd spke it t Mses The difference in the rder is in keeping with the difference in the tw narratives In the earlier part f the Exdus, the Lrd described the parts f the tabernacle in an rder that reflected a prgressin frm the Hly f Hlies utward In this part f the bk, the narrative explains the wrk dne t cnstruct the building and furnish it S the descriptin fllws the rder in which the wrk was accmplished The wrk n the tabernacle and the furnishings is chapters while the priesthd garments are in chapters I m ging t read these chapters in tw sectins And after each sectin I ll make a few bservatins as we finish this pwerful bk S sit back and relax as yu listen t the meldius (mntnus?) sund f my vice reading fur chapters f scripture 2013 Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Ex. 36:8 All the skillful men amng thse wh were perfrming the wrk made the tabernacle with ten curtains; f fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material, with cherubim, the wrk f a skillful wrkman, Bezalel made them. Ex. 36:9 The length f each curtain was twenty-eight cubits and the width f each curtain fur cubits; all the curtains had the same measurements. Ex. 36:10 He jined five curtains t ne anther and the ther five curtains he jined t ne anther. Ex. 36:11 He made lps f blue n the edge f the utermst curtain in the first set; he did likewise n the edge f the curtain that was utermst in the secnd set. Ex. 36:12 He made fifty lps in the ne curtain and he made fifty lps n the edge f the curtain that was in the secnd set; the lps were ppsite each ther. Ex. 36:13 He made fifty clasps f gld and jined the curtains t ne anther with the clasps, s the tabernacle was a unit. Ex. 36:14 Then he made curtains f gats hair fr a tent ver the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains in all. Ex. 36:15 The length f each curtain was thirty cubits and fur cubits the width f each curtain; the eleven curtains had the same measurements. Ex. 36:16 He jined five curtains by themselves and the ther six curtains by themselves. Ex. 36:17 Mrever, he made fifty lps n the edge f the curtain that was utermst in the first set, and he made fifty lps n the edge f the curtain that was utermst in the secnd set. Ex. 36:18 He made fifty clasps f brnze t jin the tent tgether s that it wuld be a unit. Ex. 36:19 He made a cvering fr the tent f rams skins dyed red, and a cvering f prpise skins abve. Ex. 36:20 Then he made the bards fr the tabernacle f acacia wd, standing upright. Ex. 36:21 Ten cubits was the length f each bard and ne and a half cubits the width f each bard. Ex. 36:22 There were tw tenns fr each bard, fitted t ne anther; thus he did fr all the bards f the tabernacle. Ex. 36:23 He made the bards fr the tabernacle: twenty bards fr the suth side; Ex. 36:24 and he made frty sckets f silver under the twenty bards; tw sckets under ne bard fr its tw tenns and tw sckets under anther bard fr its tw tenns. Ex. 36:25 Then fr the secnd side f the tabernacle, n the nrth side, he made twenty bards, Ex. 36:26 and their frty sckets f silver; tw sckets under ne bard and tw sckets under anther bard. Ex. 36:27 Fr the rear f the tabernacle, t the west, he made six bards. Ex. 36:28 He made tw bards fr the crners f the tabernacle at the rear Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Ex. 36:29 They were duble beneath, and tgether they were cmplete t its tp t the first ring; thus he did with bth f them fr the tw crners. Ex. 36:30 There were eight bards with their sckets f silver, sixteen sckets, tw under every bard. Ex. 36:31 Then he made bars f acacia wd, five fr the bards f ne side f the tabernacle, Ex. 36:32 and five bars fr the bards f the ther side f the tabernacle, and five bars fr the bards f the tabernacle fr the rear side t the west. Ex. 36:33 He made the middle bar t pass thrugh in the center f the bards frm end t end. Ex. 36:34 He verlaid the bards with gld and made their rings f gld as hlders fr the bars, and verlaid the bars with gld. Ex. 36:35 Mrever, he made the veil f blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen; he made it with cherubim, the wrk f a skillful wrkman. Ex. 36:36 He made fur pillars f acacia fr it, and verlaid them with gld, with their hks f gld; and he cast fur sckets f silver fr them. Ex. 36:37 He made a screen fr the drway f the tent, f blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, the wrk f a weaver; Ex. 36:38 and he made its five pillars with their hks, and he verlaid their tps and their bands with gld; but their five sckets were f brnze. Ex. 37:1 Nw Bezalel made the ark f acacia wd; its length was tw and a half cubits, and its width ne and a half cubits, and its height ne and a half cubits; Ex. 37:2 and he verlaid it with pure gld inside and ut, and made a gld mlding fr it all arund. Ex. 37:3 He cast fur rings f gld fr it n its fur feet; even tw rings n ne side f it, and tw rings n the ther side f it. Ex. 37:4 He made ples f acacia wd and verlaid them with gld. Ex. 37:5 He put the ples int the rings n the sides f the ark, t carry it. Ex. 37:6 He made a mercy seat f pure gld, tw and a half cubits lng and ne and a half cubits wide. Ex. 37:7 He made tw cherubim f gld; he made them f hammered wrk at the tw ends f the mercy seat; Ex. 37:8 ne cherub at the ne end and ne cherub at the ther end; he made the cherubim f ne piece with the mercy seat at the tw ends. Ex. 37:9 The cherubim had their wings spread upward, cvering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces tward each ther; the faces f the cherubim were tward the mercy seat. Ex. 37:10 Then he made the table f acacia wd, tw cubits lng and a cubit wide and ne and a half cubits high. Ex. 37:11 He verlaid it with pure gld, and made a gld mlding fr it all arund Verse By Verse Ministry Internatinal ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
Exdus f 24 Ex. 37:12 He made a rim fr it f a handbreadth all arund, and made a gld mlding fr its rim all arund. Ex. 37:13 He cast fur gld rings fr it and put the rings n the fur crners that were n its fur feet. Ex. 37:14 Clse by the rim were the rings, the hlders fr the ples t carry the table. Ex. 37:15 He made the ples f acacia wd and verlaid them with gld, t carry the table. Ex. 37:16 He made the utensils which were n the table, its dishes and its pans and its bwls and its jars, with which t pur ut drink fferings, f pure gld.
