1 Covenant Promises for Prosperity But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. Luke 15:31...Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psalm 35:27 Prosperity Ministers & Worldly News Two or three decades ago, God raised up ministers in the body of Christ to teach prosperity, because He knew that the body of Christ was suffering financially at the time. Also, the majority of Christians believed that poverty was a sign of godliness. In addition, God knew what was coming to this earth economically. Many of the prosperity preachers went through a lot of persecution from the body of Christ, with some even having hateful books written about them. There were ministers who seemed to take it upon themselves to preach against those who taught prosperity. In the meantime, the news media daily pumps out fear, publishing prices that are accelerating, jobs that are being lost, and people foreclosing on their homes because they can t pay their mortgages. The devil uses this fear to freeze up a Christian s faith. Stop Listening to the News Here s Why: If you listen to the news, no matter what your reasoning may be for listening to it, it s going to open up the door for fear to get into your life. It is extremely dangerous to listen to worldly news because it is an enemy of God s Word. The world doesn t believe in God, so the worldly news media are not telling you the

2 truth. And, Jesus told you to take heed what you hear, and to take heed how you hear (Mark 4:24 & Luke 8:18). It s ok not to know what s going on in the news. Worldly news never produced any faith, but it does produce fear. (Ro. 10:17) You re going to do yourself a big favor by refusing to listen to it. Ignore the newspapers, because indulging in worldly news is going to affect you so that you ll end up quoting the news as though it s the truth and final authority, and not the Word (Mt.4:4 & Mt. 8:8). Worldly news can kill you: Men s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: Luke 21:26 God Bless America Satan wants to take the prosperity away from our nation (the United States of America). One reason is because America largely finances the gospel around the world. We are a Christian nation, established upon Christian principles; we even put In God We Trust on our currency. What greater mockery could there be for Satan to accomplish than to destroy a nation s economy that had In God We Trust on their money? We can't just stand by and let Satan take over our nation. We ve got to start using our authority. Satan is not going to leave our nation alone until we stand against him with the Word of God and resist him, in Jesus Name. In order to destroy our nation s prosperity, the devil has done all he could to get rid of prosperity teachers. And, at the same time, he s done all he could to make sure the negative news spreads rampant across our nation. We need our prosperity preachers, and they need to constantly remind us of what the Word says. God does not reward lack and poverty. On the contrary, He rewards faith that aggressively conquers whatever it faces. It s important that every born again child of God decree and declare God s promises in the face of every obstacle and in the face of all opposition. You are the sole person who is responsible for your life. No one else is. Your Life Follows Your Tongue: Your Words Constitute Law We, as the body of Christ, represent God in this world, and we need to be using our authority, in Jesus Name, to boldly decree what the Word of God says. We must not talk lack and poverty, because if you do, it is going to affect you spiritually, whether you realize it or not. Jesus told us that we would have what we say:

3 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 This is not only the truth because Jesus said it; it is the truth, and that s why Jesus said it. As long as you re on this earth, you can t live in financial prosperity and have the peace of God in your heart and mind by thinking and talking about how expensive something is. Your life is going to go the way of your tongue. It s a spiritual law. Your salvation came to you by your mouth: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Ro. 10:9,10 Everything about you is going to go the way you talk. These aren t my words; they are Jesus Words. I didn't make the rules. Jesus said in Matthew 12:37, For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Your body is going to go the way of your tongue. If you don t like the way your body is, change what you re saying. Don t talk about your body; talk to your body. Speak words of life to your body. The Holy Spirit said in James 3:1-10: My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

4 ... by thy words thou shalt be condemned... Do you know how the mob in New York City was convicted? Their conversations were taped. The mobsters were hung by their tongues making their confession as they spoke. A personal confession, backed up with facts, can cause an individual to be convicted. Human Authority on Earth And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26-28 Every living person has authority in this world. Once you leave this earth, you have no authority on earth, spiritually. Satan doesn t have any authority here, because technically, he s an illegal entity. This earth wasn t given to him; it was given to Adam and Eve. He used deception, along with temptation to entice Adam and Eve to go with Satan and to leave God. This is how the fall of mankind began, when sin entered into the world, and Satan took over. The planet Earth wasn t his. (Read Genesis, Chapters 2 & 3) That s why Satan and demon spirits try all the time to get into people and embody them. And they will, if a person allows and permits it. When a person becomes demon possessed, they're being controlled by the devil. Jesus said, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Matthew 12:43-45 Everything that Happens on Earth is Spoken or Permitted by People God is limited on this earth as to what He can do. Not only that, but angels on their own don t have any authority on earth, either. They hearken to the voice of God s Word being spoken.

5 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psalm 103:20 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1:13,14 It is man who has the authority on earth. God needs mankind to speak His Word the same way Satan needs to use mankind to say what he wants to be said. The reason Jesus could do what He did on this earth was because He was a man. Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of man when He did things on earth....whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Matthew 16:13 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11 AMP Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of man, so in regard to authority on earth, He was no different than any other man. But the big difference is Jesus never committed a sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus was the only divine Son of God, and He was God manifest in the flesh, as prophesied in Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6...And fulfilled in Luke 1:30-33: And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

6 No one else is in the same category as Jesus is; but as far as Jesus taking authority over the devil and storms, He was able to do it because of His humanity, not because of His deity. If deity could cast the devils out and stop storms, Jesus would never have reprimanded His disciples for not doing it. And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Matthew 17:14-18 Satan was never able to touch Jesus until He laid His life down. The reason Satan was unable to stone Jesus (John 10:31-39) or kill Him in a storm was not because Jesus was the divine Son of God, though He was. The reason is that Jesus used the authority God had given mankind. (Matthew 4:1-11) You could say it this way: Jesus used the dominion that God had given mankind and He subdued the storm with that dominion (Genesis 1:26-28). If there wasn t going to be anything that would need to be subdued on earth, God wouldn t have told mankind to do it. God knew that things would need to be subdued, so He gave authority to do it. In Genesis 1:28,...and God said unto them,...replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over...every living thing that moveth upon the earth, subdue is the Hebrew word: Kabash (kaw-bash'); Verb, Strong # 3533, which means to tread down; to conquer, subjugate, violate, bring into bondage, force, keep under, subdue and bring into subjection. In the same verse, dominion is the Hebrew word: Radah (raw-daw');, Strong # 7287, which means to tread down, to subjugate, to have dominion, to prevail against, reign, to rule over and to take.
