1 LITCHFIELD INDEPENDENT Latta brought a couple of chickens to the encampment this past February. The old rooster was about to be boiled for an early breakfast at 3:00 am due to his crowing. JULY 2012 In Honor of Brothers Major George Litchfield and Captain John Litchfield Commander Price felt really bad about this, but didn t want to old rooster boiled with a pot of rice. Instead, he had him halved and barbequed at Latta s CMD services in May, and served him up to Ken and Jamie. Jamie and Ken felt really sorry for Commander Heavy s loss, and brought him a few replacements for that old crowing rooster. Amazingly, all three worked together very well at Commander Graham s Gravestone repair class.
2 Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans "To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish." Remember, it is your duty to see that the true history of the South is presented to future generations. Lt.
