3 As a courtesy, the Presbytery attempts provide driving directions and parking information (when known) all the members attending the Assembly. Due the size of the presbytery, we are unable include all possible routes the meeting. The directions we provide begin with major routes in the city/wn where the assembly will be held, and include more detailed directions regarding the streets closer the meeting site. Please use an online source or printed map find the way from your starting point the place where these directions begin. The POV website has all church locations marked on Google Maps assist you. Occasionally, there may be construction/deurs that we are unaware of. To be prepared for this possibility, it is wise have a map, Google map prinut, or GPS navigation available, just in case. From the north: Take Hwy 41 south thru Evansville Washingn Avenue; turn left. Stay on Washingn for a couple of miles. Eastminster is at 5501 Washingn on the right side of the street. There is a large parking lot on the side of the church. From the north or northeast: Take I-69 south Exit 7 - W. Lloyd Expressway. Take the Lloyd, headed west (right) for approximately 1 1/2 miles Green River Road. Turn left (south) on Green River Road and travel about 1 1/2 miles Washingn Avenue. Turn left (east) on Washingn Avenue. Eastminster is 1/2 mile away on the left. 3

David Crittenden Training for the Presbytery of Ohio Valley representatives the 223 rd General Assembly was held on April 21, 2018 at Henryville. Commissioners Katrina Pekich-Bundy, Joe Kimmel, and Young Adult Advisory Delegate Natalie Cushman were trained and began making plans for the meeting. Kerry Rice, Associate Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, led the training, assisted by Susan McGhee and David Crittenden. 4

Scott Paul-Bonham be approved for Honorable Retirement Since the April 17, 2018, meeting, the Committee on Ministry electronically voted make the following recommendation: 1. That the Rev. Kathleen Fox be approved for Honorable Retirement 12

13 Congregational Mission and Vitality Committee Report The Rev. Andy Kort, Moderar Grant Application from The Community Presbyterian Church in Charleswn, IN The CMVC recommended the Council the approval of the grant application from The Community Presbyterian Church. The grant is for $3,500, which will be matched by the congregation, assist them in their Baby Fair project. This project allows the church help provide support new mothers, infants, and small children in their community a need in their area of the county. Their mission focuses on keeping infants and small children clean, dry, and healthy and is in conjunction with their DIAPER Project ministry. The Pentecost Special Offering This offering is typically collected on the Day of Pentecost (May 20, 2018). A gift the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations wanting make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community. The remaining 60% is used support ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency: Young Adult Volunteers Ministries for Youth Children at Risk Pentecost Offering Financials We know that many of your congregations participate in this wonderful opportunity. Today we celebrate the work of one of our congregations, The First Presbyterian Church of Columbus, Indiana. We received the following note from Diedra May, Mission Specialist for Special Offerings Presbyterian Mission Agency that highlights their work. Great job First Columbus! We are in the season when we are promoting and interpreting the work of the Pentecost Offering which nurtures the faith of God s children who are in the first third of life children, youth, and young adults. This year, we celebrate that the Offering has been supporting ministry for 20 years through giving that has taled over $14 million. One way that we are celebrating this milesne is by recognizing the congregations who have been the long-standing supporters of the Offering. According our records, First Presbyterian Church (Columbus, Indiana), received the Pentecost Offering every single year. Wow! Janet Lowry, Moderar Pro-Tem Beginning July 1, 2018, the Rev. Andy Kort will be away on sabbatical leave. During his time away, Elder Janet Lowry will serve as moderar pro-tem. She will serve in this capacity until mid-november when Andy Kort returns and resumes his role as the moderar of the committee. 13

14 Report of the Presbytery Council The Rev. Susan McGhee, Moderar For Presbytery's Information Council met by videoconference May 1, 2018, and ok the following actions: * denotes the Council acting as a Commission of Presbytery 1. Received reports of Presbytery officers, staff, and committee leadership. 2. Approved a grant from the Monroe City funds for the Community Presbyterian Church, Charleswn, Indiana, in the amount of $3,500 for a "Baby Fair" initiative, which seeks support new mothers and infants in their community. 3. Appointed Elder Janet Huber Lowry as Moderar Pro Tempore of the Congregational Mission and Vitality Committee during Moderar Andy Kort s sabbatical (July 1 November 15), including a seat on the Presbytery Council for that period. * 4. Appointed Cheryl Moles as registrar for the 2019 Youth Triennium, and authorized the PYT Registrar, Stated Clerk and Executive Presbyter designate adult advisors accompany the PYT delegation PYT. * 5. Agreed pay one quarter of the cost of a consultant from the Legacy Funds for First, Brownswn, lead the congregation through a visioning process designed help them discern their call as a congregation and be able fill out their Mission Information Form as they begin and search for a new pasr. 14
