"To Robert Jameson surveyor of roads in Freeport for the year 1814 you are hereby required to cause each person named in this bill to work out the several sums annexed to their names on the following roads. Beginning at Col. George Rogers house thence on the road to Brunswick line. Allowing to each man one dollar..for oxen 85 cents, for plows 50 cents, for carts 25 cents per day. For which this shall be your sufficient warrant and you are requested to cause two thirds of the within sum to be worked out by the first day of July and the remainder by the first day of October next by which time you are to make return of this bill with your doings thereon.
