2 1 FROM THE PASTOR S DESK Welcome to Southern Baptist Church s 2013 Business Directory! It is our hope that this directory will connect members looking for a specific service or product to a Christian business within our Church family. This directory is designed to help its users find companies and information quickly and concisely. You ll find many local Christian businesses right at your fingertips. We encourage everyone to support these businesses not only with your service but also your prayers. Thank you for your support of the directory and help spread the word by telling your friends about it. 3 2 GOD S DIRECTORY If God were to put a listing in this directory, what category would He choose? You can find Him under Father, but that s just one of His claims to fame. But really, how many of us would look to find Him there? Truly, He wants to be known as our Heavenly Father, the last person we say good night to, and the first person we greet in the morning. He is after all, our Greatest Provider. Maybe He would list under Physician, but He knows that most don t come to Him anyway before putting their faith in science, and mere mortal men. You know, He IS the Ultimate Healer, but we always seem to forget to call on Him FIRST for the best treatment. I don t think He would want to be called a Psychic, or Mind Reader, even though He always knows what s going to happen, always has, always will. He knows why we re calling, before we even ask, and He doesn t need tarot cards. He could be called an Artist. I mean, did you see that sunset last night? The universe is His canvas, and not even our wildest imagination can create such a vision. It s a wonder why He still creates such masterpieces, day after day, when we seldom take notice. Then there s Designer, and let s face it, there is no competition, Interior or Exterior. What about Author? I mean, the Book! Did you ever read His Book? And of course let s not forget, we might find Him listed as Teacher! Oh, if we would only study a little more, and stop skipping class. He doesn t have a phone number, but you can call Him anytime. You won t get the sound of an answering machine, or have to press this number or that number to get through. He doesn t believe in s, and that s why He won t answer you back via the Internet. His office never closes, not even on His only Son s birthday, or for His only Son s funeral, for that matter. Speaking of His Son, He inherited His Father s business. You just tell them that Jesus sent you when you get to the door, and you ll be treated like family. Oh, and get this your bill has already been paid! Sis.
