1 ELDER SELECTION 2016 Introspective Questionnaire (Name) These questions are intended to help us better understand your thoughts on how God has worked in and through your life, the role of men serving as leaders, guardians, or shepherds of God s flock, and your expected contributions to helping this congregation grow and mature in its knowledge and application of God s word and faith in Him, our Heavenly Father. Hopefully, they will also be of value to you, too, as you prayerfully consider your thoughts on these matters. A. Who at FXCC would follow your leadership? B. 5 Authorization and Consent for Personal Background Investigation It is the policy of to ensure that all members serving in positions of an official capacity or in roles that place them into contact with children are screened to ensure the safest possible environment is maintained for our children and that the interests of the church as a corporate entity are protected. Accordingly, paid staff (employees) of the church, members who volunteer as teachers, Elders, and anyone else placed in a position of long-term leadership and who will exercise responsibility over the affairs of the, will have background checks performed to determine whether there are any issues of a criminal or fiduciary nature that would call into question the ability of the individual to serve in the desired capacity to the satisfaction of the church.
