5 > j > R n > > f : ; - : f PROCEEDNGS The Georga State Assocaton embracng the Free V Baptst churches of the state of Georga and ther duy eected deegates met at Coo Sprngs Church ncar Norman Park Georga November TUESDAY EVENNG NOVEMBER 2 The assocaton opened at 7:00 p m wth sngng drected by Rev S T Shutes A perod of prayer Bbe readng and some we made remarks by Rev J E Wood served as an dea devotona The assstant moderator caed the body to order and presented the moderator Rev T G Hamton The moderator offcay opened the 957 sesson of the Georga State Assocaton of Free W Baptsts The cerk Ernest Barker was absent because of sckness The moderator apponted Rev J B Loverng to serve as cerk for the Tuesday evenng sesson Commttees were apponted as foows: Credentas: E C Davdson J Goocher and S E Herrod Commttee on Commttees: 0 B Everson; B V Cenney C M Chaffn Jr Water Soan and Rev Lous Mouton After an nforma ntroducton of those present we were ed n a good song servce by Rev Lous Mouton The speaker Rev Raph Lghtsey of Hazehurst Georga was presented to the audence by th~ moderator t was a most wonderfu message on Preparng for Evangesm He stressed that we et God prepare for us what we ought to be then evangesm woud be at work The host pastor Rev B W Cenney had the peasure of assgnng rooms to those who woud spent the nght Benedcton by Rev B V Cenney WEDNESDAY MORNNG NOVEMBER 3 Rev Lous Mouton drected the congregaton n sngng 0 How Love Jesus foowed wth prayer by Rev C R Houston The congregaton then sang Savour Lke a Shepherd Rev Chares Cerk ed the congregaton n a few moments of medtaton gvng quotatons and ustratons from the Bbe to prove the reatonshp of evang 3sm to the Bbe The moderator then caed for a temporary cerk eecton Rev S T Shutes name was paced n nomnaton by Rev E C Morrs A moton was made by Rev Lous Mouton that the nomnatons cease and we proceeded to eect by accamaton The credentas commttee reported n part Moton was carred to adopt the ::?arta report and seat the deegates and any others who were duy quafed that came to ths sesson The report of the commttee on commttees was adopted by voce vote (See report) At ths tme the moderator recognzed the entertanment commttee of the Ltte Rver Assocaton The Rev J B Loverng moderator of ths assocaton gave the wecome address and commended the churches of the Ltte Rver Assocaton for ther spendd cooperaton n the entertanment of ths fne sesson of the Georga State Assocaton The moderator gave a genune wecome to one and a As a bass for hs re- 4
