He purchased the tract of land where he died from James Sidney on arriving here and made it his continuous home until death. In July 1859, his wife died leaving him four children, two sons and two daughters. In 1861 he married Mrs. Mary Bushell, the fruits of which marriage were eight sons and two daughters, four of whom preceded him.
