FULFILLING YOUR GODLY DESTINY September 11, 2011 Allen McLauchlin, Pastor A family friendly, never alone, purpose driven church 1. You must realize, that you are not just a number, God has plans for your life Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year." Genesis 17:19,21 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 1 / 5
He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will. Ephesians 1:4,5 Are not two sparrows sold for a half of a penny? And [yet] not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:29,30 2. You must trust that the good hand of God will guide you to the right people. "The LORD, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father's household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me. To your seed I will give this land'--he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there. If the woman is unwilling to come back with you, then you will be released from this oath. Only do not take my son back there. Genesis 24:7 Isaac went out to meditate in the field toward evening; and he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, camels were coming. Rebecca lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac she dismounted from the camel. The servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and he took Rebecca, and she became his wife, and he loved her; thus Isaac was comforted after his mother's death. Genesis 24:63,64,66,67 God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance. "Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt. Genesis 45:7,8 2 / 5
3 / 5
According to the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of insight. Ezra 8:18 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. Psalm 103:19; Acts 17:26 3. You must not lose faith or given in when circumstances (things) seem to be against you. The Lord appeared to him and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you. "Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham. "I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;." So Isaac stayed. Genesis 26:2-4,6 Their father Jacob said to them, "You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. All these things are against me! Gene sis 42:36 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to 4 / 5
those who are called according to [His] purpose. Romans 8:28 4. You must completely submit to God s will to reach your Godly destiny. May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, that you may become a company of peoples. "May He also give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your descendants with you, that you may possess the land of your sojourning, which God gave to Abraham." Then Isaac sent Jacob away. Genesis 28:3-5 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew dialect, `Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is harder for you to kick against the pricks. Acts 26:14 Do not be like s stubborn horse or the mule, that must be controlled by bit and bridle. Many are the woes of the wicked. Psalm 32:8-10 Jesus said, No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own willingly. John 10:18; "M y Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. Matthew 26:39 Godly destiny: Arriving at a place in life where God has predetermined. 5 / 5
