3 A HANUKKAH MESSAGE WE LIGHT THE HANUKKAH MENORAH TO REMIND US OF OUR QUEST TO ILLUMINATE THE DARKNESS OF THE WORLD, AND TO REMEMBER THE MIRACLES THAT G-D HAS PERFORMED ON OUR BEHALF OVER TIME. IN THE PARSHA VAYEITZEI, WE ARE REMINDED THAT IN JACOB S DREAM THAT HE SAW THE LADDER WHICH REPRESENTED AN OPPORTUNITY FOR HIM TO CLIMB CLOSER TO G-D, AS MOSES CLIMBED MT. SINAI. THE ANGELS REPRESENT MOSES AND AARON, AND G-D STOOD ATOP THE LADDER JUST AS HE STOOD ATOP SINAI TO GIVE THE TORAH THIS OPPORTUNITY STILL EXISTS FOR US, THROUGH OUR STUDY OF THE TORAH, WHICH CONTINUES TO ACT AS A BRIDGE FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH. THE HOLIDAY TEACHES US THAT THE LIGHT OF KNOWLEDGE, PEACE, AND UNDERSTANDING CAN STILL SHINE BRIGHTLY IF WE ARE WILLING TO TRY AND CLIMB THAT LADDER THE CANDLES ON THE MENORAH CAN ACT AS A BEACON TO LEAD US TO THE UNDERSTANDING WHICH WE ALL SEEK...WE CELEBRATE THE MIRACLE OF THE SMALL JAR OF OIL THAT BURNED FOR EIGHT DAYS, WHICH OFFERS US A CONSTANT REMINDER OF OUR SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH G-D LET THIS LIGHT OF LOVE, HOPE, AND GENEROSITY WHICH CAN SHINE OVER THE WORLD, BE EMBLEMATIC OF THIS HOLY SEASON, BRINGING US A REKINDLING OF HOPE AND FAITH IN THE FUTURE I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME THE HONOR OF SERVING AS YOUR PRESIDENT FOR ANOTHER YEAR, AND I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO DONATE THEIR TIME AND EFFORT TO OUR SYNAGOGUE.THE FOUR SIDED DREIDEL WHOSE LETTERS MEAN, A GREAT MIRACLE HAPPENED THERE, MAINFESTS THE CONTINUED MESSAGE OF OUR COMMUNITY ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, WE CONTINUE TO WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON DR.
