1 What Manner of Spirit Are You Of? Luke 9: And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. Jesus had His face set toward Jerusalem. The Samaritans did not receive Jesus. Jesus came to save men s lives, not to destroy men s lives. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. (us) What manner of spirit are we of? We that are Christians- Christ-like. We are of God s Holy Spirit! We are God s children-born again of His Spirit, therefore let us be in this life as Jesus was in this life, Merciful, compassionate, forgiving, loving toward one another. For Our God is Love!! What Manner of Spirit are ye of? Luke 6: But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

2 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Love your enemies, judge not; forgive and have mercy. What manner of Spirit are ye of? Matthew 7:2-5 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. First, make yourself Holy, through the power of the Holy Ghost of Jesus Christ, and then help your brother to walk Holy! First take the beam out of your own eye! First take sin out of your own life! What manner of spirit are you of? Do you have a condemning spirit? Do you have a self righteous spirit? Do you have a proud spirit? Do you have a better than you spirit? Do you have a worldly selfish spirit? Or do you have a Christ Like spirit? What Manner of Spirit Are We Of? You who tell others not to lie, do you lie? You who say, do not steal, do you steal? You who say, do not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who say, do not gossip, do you gossip? You who tell others to forgive, do your forgive? You who ask for mercy, are you merciful? Let us practice what we preach!

4 Jesus said, I came not into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through me might be saved! What Manner of Spirit Are You Of? Let us speak a moment on Holiness! Jesus said be ye Holy, even as I am, Holy and perfect. First clean up the inside of yourself, then the outside will be clean. First make the inside Holy and the outside will be Holy! If the inside is pure, then the outward appearance will reflect this. If the inside of your body is clean, Holy and pure, then the outside of your body, your appearance, will be clean, Holy, and pure. Jesus said, what comes out of man, defiles a man, for out of the heart comes lies, deceits, vanities, pride, lusts, envies, jealousies, fornication, adulteries, murders, and all manner of uncleanliness. So let the Holy Ghost of God have its perfect work, it s perfect way inside you, let God clean up your inside, and make full of the Holy Ghost and you will be Holy! The outside of your body will reflect the inside! If your outer appearance reflects a God like spirit; and if in your life, your walk reflects a God like spirit, and if you live Holy unto God; then you will be Holy and you will see God For without Holiness no man shall see God! I say again, What Manner of Person are we? 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

5 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Love, Godly love for others, will never fail charity - love! A Christ Like Love!!!!!!! Saints remember!!! Beware; when you think you stand, lest you fall. Christ saved us, not ourselves. Not he that willeth, nor he that runneth, but upon them who God showeth mercy. No man can come unto God, except that God first calls him. Not by strength, not by might, but by my Spirit. Ephesians 2:8 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: It is a gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. What Manner of Spirit Are You Of? Jesus said, Father forgive them for they know not what they do! (Jesus on the cross)

6 These people knew that Jesus was innocent! These people knew it was wrong, they said let His blood be upon us and our children. They had no fear of God! What they didn t know was that they were killing the Son of God, the Saviour of the world, their Messiah! Yet Jesus said, father forgive them, for they know not what they do! What Manner Of spirit Are You Of? This is the manner of spirit in us! A Christ like spirit, a God like spirit, a forgiving spirit, a merciful spirit, and a loving spirit. The Holy Ghost, the Spirit Of God Hallelujah!! An everlasting spirit of eternal life, of eternal love, of eternal forgiveness. The Spirit of Jesus Christ is in us! Our hope of glory! Of salvation! This is the spirit in us; The Holy Ghost of God!! Let us praise God!!!! If you need the Holy Ghost----Ask!!!!!
