8 VISION OF WORLD HISTORY The prophecy of Daniel chapter 7 gives the most detailed and comprehensive prophecy of future events given anywhere in the Old Testament. Most scholars agree that this prophecy traces the history of the four great world empires of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome leading to the Second Coming of Christ, and His millennial and eternal kingdoms representing the fifth and final kingdom. 8

9 VISION OF WORLD HISTORY This chapter outlines the future events and sets the stage for greater details given in later chapters. Keep in mind that Nebuchadnezzar s metallic statue of Daniel 2 and the four beasts of Daniel 7 represent the same thing. As we shall soon see, this is a recurring theme expressed both in Daniel and Revelation. 9

10 VISION OF WORLD HISTORY From earliest times until Deism and Rationalization took hold in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the persistent belief of the church and scholars was that these prophecies represented the succession of the world empires of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. 10

12 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS DAN 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. 2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 12

13 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS We are now back in time to Belshazzar in 553BC. This vision or dream in chapter seven came to Daniel at a time between the events of the fourth and fifth chapters a time before Belshazzar s drunken party which occurred in 539BC. The first six chapters outlined the historical succession of world empires from Babylon to the Second Coming of 13 Christ.

14 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS The last six chapters are a prophetic view of things to come using an historical background. This chapter begins the prophecies of things to come during the Tribulation period at the time of the end. 14

15 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS It was a dream we are now seeing the use of symbolic words. The vision was in a dream at night. The day of God's wrath is usually mentioned as a time of darkness. This vision therefore concerns the Tribulation period at the end of the present age. 15

16 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS JOEL 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. 1TH 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 16

17 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS The "four winds" may refer to either God's divine will flowing through the universe indicating that the events are according to God's will. It may be that the "four winds" refer to the storms of rebellion stirred up by Satan to disrupt God's order. That these winds blow from all points indicate their universality. 17

18 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS The storm on the great sea may indicate the strife of Gentile history since, when symbolically used, sea usually means the world of nations. This chaotic sea may indicate the nations in turmoil. 18

19 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS Before the judgments of Revelation, God sends four angels to hold back the "four winds of the earth" until the "servants of our God" are sealed in their foreheads. REV 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 20 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 20

21 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS Notice instead the reference to the four angels in Revelation 9: REV 9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 21

22 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS According to some, the "four winds of the earth" represent the "principalities" or the four demonic angels who rule over the four nations that would hold world power. It is therefore thought that Satan is causing the rising of the four great beasts. However, the winds are symbolic of the powers and heavenly forces by which God sets the nations and worlds in motion. It may indicate the sovereign God striving 22 with sinful man.

23 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS The "great sea" during this period would have been the Mediterranean, but that may not be in mind here. The great sea in Bible prophecy refers to nations or the mass of humanity. The four winds stir up the great sea, or nations, bringing chaos. The prophetic scene is shifting from Babylon to the nations of the Mediterranean. 23

24 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS It would in short order become little more than a Roman lake. The usual prophetic boundaries in Scripture are from Armenia in the north to Ethiopia in the South, and from China in the East to Tarshish in the West. Other lands outside these boundaries are largely ignored. 24

26 DREAM OF FOUR BEASTS As a result of the striving of the four winds, beast kingdoms (or world powers) would come up from the sea, which are the nations surrounding the Mediterranean. 26

28 THE FIRST BEAST DAN 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 28

29 THE FIRST BEAST The first beast represents the Babylonian Empire. The national symbol of Babylon was the winged lion. Jeremiah prophesied of the lion as referring to Babylon. JER 4:7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid 29 waste, without an inhabitant.

30 THE FIRST BEAST The regal lion speaks of sovereignty and supremacy. The eagle's wings depict Nebuchadnezzar's swift conquests. In a series of swift campaigns Nebuchadnezzar had conquered all of Syria, Palestine, humbled Egypt, and conquered Tyre. The plucking of the wings indicates Nebuchadnezzar's insanity and conversion. 30

31 THE FIRST BEAST Being made to stand as a man with a man's heart shows that he was no more a beast. He became more humane. 31

33 THE SECOND BEAST DAN 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. 33

34 THE SECOND BEAST The second beast represented the Medo- Persian Empire. It replaced Babylon as the world power in 539BC. It was slow, and ponderous as depicted by the bear, with none of the swiftness in conquest of Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon. Its successes were by strength and force. 34

35 THE SECOND BEAST The three ribs in its mouth may refer to the initial conquests of the Medo-Persian alliance, Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt. Devouring much flesh was characteristic of its method of waging war. It only engaged when it had sufficient overwhelming force to crush its opponents. It raised up itself on one side. One side of this bear proved dominant. 35

36 THE SECOND BEAST The Persians eventually swallowed the Medes, who became part of the Persian Empire. Darius had used nearly 750,000 men and 600 ships against Scythia. A later king, Xerxes, would use 2-1/2 million men against Greece. And still later, the Empire's final king would fight battles with troops numbering a half-million to one million men. 36

38 THE THIRD BEAST DAN 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. 38

39 THE THIRD BEAST The third beast represented the empire of Greece, which defeated the Medo-Persians by 331 BC. The grace, speed, and ferocity of the leopard, with the speed accentuated by the four wings depicted perfectly the swift conquests of the known world, including Persia, by the Greek, Alexander the Great. 39

40 THE THIRD BEAST Alexander died at the young age of 32, a drunkard at the zenith of his accomplishments with no more worlds to conquer. 40

41 THE THIRD BEAST When he died in 323 BC, Alexander s empire was divided among his four generals, as depicted by the four heads of the leopard. Cassander took Macedon and Greece; Lysimachus took Asia Minor and Thrace; Seleucus took Syria and Upper Asia, Babylon, and the east; and Ptolemy took Egypt, Palestine, and Arabia. 41

42 THE THIRD BEAST Palestine eventually became an area of contention to the heirs of Seleucus and Ptolemy, and these two divisions of Alexander's Empire became the subjects of additional prophecy in Daniel chapters 8 and

44 THE FOURTH BEAST DAN 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 44

45 THE FOURTH BEAST The fourth beast represented a fourth world empire. Rome replaced Greece as world ruler in 146 BC. We remember in Nebuchadnezzar's dream that his image of the legs of iron depicted the Roman Empire. The iron teeth of this image of a beast indicated the great strength of the beast to devour and break in pieces. 45

46 THE FOURTH BEAST The Roman Empire would eventually, by conquest, extend from the British Isles, through Europe and northern Africa, to the Middle East, and bounded by the Euphrates River. Rome ruled with a savage iron fist, installing its paganism, laws, and institutions. 46

47 THE FOURTH BEAST Rome would crucify the Son of God, and ruthlessly persecute and martyr, through ten Caesar's, from Nero to Diocletian, the early church of Jesus Christ. The church at Smyrna was said to suffer tribulation ten days (Rev 2:10) possibly representative of the ten Caesars. 47

48 THE FOURTH BEAST If our early brothers and sisters were to suffers so and die for their faith, who are we to complain if tribulation should befall us? We have a far better promise than this vial of tears. 48

49 THE FOURTH BEAST The "ten horns" represented the same as the "ten toes" of Nebuchadnezzar's image of chapter 2. It would be the end-time revival of this Roman Empire in a new form. "Horns" in Scripture are symbols of power. Although these empires succeeded each other, the preceding ones were not completely destroyed. 49

50 THE FOURTH BEAST Each of these four empires are to continue in some fashion, maintaining their individual characteristics, until Jesus returns, particularly the Roman empire as we saw in chapter 2. The final system will contain elements of the preceding empires as we see the fourth beast has seven heads. Indeed the worst characteristics of the preceding empires carried over into the 50 next.

51 THE FOURTH BEAST Rome began to deteriorate and crumbled into strong and weak factions, eventually being divided up into separate weaker empires, but maintaining the Roman identity. Various ones of these were prominent such as the British, Belgium, German, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, Russian, Grecian, Byzantine, and Italian colonial empires. 51 All of these were of the old Roman Empire.

52 THE FOURTH BEAST Rome continued to rule the world through the European colonial system until 1945 when the system was broken up by agreement at Yalta between Roosevelt and Stalin. It was the European colonial system that produced most of the wars during the last thousand years, as prophesied by Daniel that the legs of iron would jostle and bruise. 52

53 THE FOURTH BEAST Today we see most of these represented in the European Union But Rome spread to all corners of the globe in the various European colonial systems. Rome has never disappeared, it just changed its form. 53

55 HUMPTY DUMPTY These beasts appear a number of times, in somewhat different forms. Each time we see them we discover additional information. In Daniel they are succeeding world empires; In Revelation 12 we learn of Satanic nature of the beast; 55

56 HUMPTY DUMPTY In Revelation 13 we learn that it is a final world system controlled by the Antichrist and the False Prophet; In Revelation 17 we learn of its religious (occult) nature that has controlled the empires (this is the Luciferian occult connection that forms a one world religion); This Luciferian occult connection is the subject of our newsletter The 56 Moneychangers 8, The Luciferian Agenda.

57 HUMPTY DUMPTY In Revelation 17 the Babylonian occult religious system stemming from Nimrod and Semiramus is the common thread that binds the Satanic system together which will form the final world political and religious system of the Antichrist: Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (Cont.) 57

58 HUMPTY DUMPTY 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 58

59 HUMPTY DUMPTY 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 59

60 HUMPTY DUMPTY 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 60

61 HUMPTY DUMPTY In Revelation 18 we learn of its commercial character and final destruction. The Club of Rome has proposed the world be divided up into ten economic regions. This is actually occurring today under the guise of globalism. Note the map: 61

63 HUMPTY DUMPTY Many of the zones are functioning today as shown, including the European Union (EU) and the African Union (AU) for example. Still being formed is The United States as part of the North American Union (NAU) which includes Canada and Mexico. The political boundaries of the world map are made up of territories that were once controlled by the colonial system of the 63 nations within the old Roman empire.

64 HUMPTY DUMPTY On 25 March 1957, The Treaty of Rome began the modern reconstruction of the old Roman Empire. An old nursery rhyme depicted an egg called Humpty Dumpty that had fallen and broken into pieces. That nursery rhyme referred to the fall of the Roman Empire and the fact that it couldn't be put back together. 64

65 HUMPTY DUMPTY For the first time since that fall, men are succeeding in assembling Humpty Dumpty again. The European Economic Community was born which would create a European Parliament in 1979, and would culminate during the early 1990s in the European Union, transcending the sovereignty of those nation-states assembled. 65

66 HUMPTY DUMPTY Keep in mind that the steps and treaties (free trade agreements) toward creation of the European Union are the same that we are seeing in the western hemisphere, leading toward a merger of Canada, Mexico, and the United States into a North American Union, and the Trans Pacific Partnership is a part of the same process, the reassembling of Humpty Dumpty. 66

67 HUMPTY DUMPTY The North American Free trade agreement (NAFTA) is a preliminary step toward a North American Union (NAU). This may give some insight as to why it is politically difficult to protect our borders while promoting the flow of free trade with little government interference. Keep your eyes on Jesus instead of the siren call of peace and security the satanic systems offer false peace and 67 security leading to sudden destruction.
