These Names are found thousands of times in the Original, Inspired Scriptures, but most translators say they have followed longstanding tradition by inserting substitutes such as LORD and GOD in place of Yahweh s Name, and the Savior s True Name has been corrupted by centuries of Greek, Latin, and French influence. 4 THE TEN COMMANDMENTS BEFORE SINAI, AND CONFIRMED BY THE WORDS OF YAHSHUA IN THE NEW TESTAMENT (By Frank Brown) MANY RELIGIOUS PEOPLE FALSELY BELIEVE THAT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE GIVEN ONLY TO THE JEWS; TO BE IN FORCE ONLY FROM THE TIME OF MOSES, WHEN GIVEN TO HIM BY YHWH AT MT. SINAI IN 1491 BC, UNTIL YAHSHUA'S DEATH ON THE STAKE IN 31 AD, A PERIOD OF ABOUT 1,520 YEARS. IS THIS ACCURATE? IS THIS WHAT THE SCRIPTURES TEACH? LET'S SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES AND FIND OUT. FIRST, WHAT IS SIN? I John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin trans gresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. WE ARE TOLD IN Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression. Romans 5:12 13: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. SO, THE LAW HAD TO EXIST, BEFORE THERE COULD BE SIN, SINCE SIN IS THE BREAKING OF THE LAW, THE VIOLATION OF YAHWEH'S RULES OF CON DUCT. AND, LIKEWISE, IF YAHSHUA HAD ABOLISHED SIN AT HIS DEATH, THEN HE WOULD HAVE DIED IN VAIN, SINCE WITHOUT THE LAW, THERE COULD HAVE BEEN NO MORE SIN ANYWAY. SO, LET'S EXAMINE EACH COMMANDMENT, AS FOR- MALLY GIVEN AT MOUNT SINAI, AND COMPARE THE BIBLICAL RECORDS, BOTH BEFORE SINAI, AND DUR- ING AND AFTER THE SAVIOR'S DEATH. AND BEAR IN 4

5 MIND THAT YAH SHUA SAID, IN Matthew 5:17 18: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. HE ALSO TOLD THE YOUNG RICH MAN, "IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS." SO, NOW LET'S LOOK AT THE COMMANDMENTS, ONE AT A TIME, IN GENESIS AND THE GOSPELS AND OTHER NEW TESTAMENT WRITINGS. FIRST COMMANDMENT: Exodus 20:2 3: I [am] YHWH thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other deities before (IN PLACE OF) me. (Gen 2:16-17 KJV) "And YHWH Elohim commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: {17} But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Gen 3:1-8 KJV) "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which YHWH Elohim had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Elohim said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? {2} And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: {3} But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. {4} And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: {5} For Elohim doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as Elohims, knowing good and evil. {6} And when the woman saw 5

6 that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. {7} And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. {8} And they heard the voice of YHWH Elohim walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of YHWH Elohim amongst the trees of the garden." THEY OBEYED SATAN; THEY PUT HIM AHEAD OF YHWH. THIS WAS SIN. THE FIRST COMMANDMENT WAS ALREADY IN FORCE, and they had broken it. Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, YHWH appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] EL SHADDAI (the Al mighty Elohim); walk before me, and be thou perfect. Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. IF HE HAD NOT, HE, TOO, WOULD HAVE BEEN GUILTY OF BREAKING THE FIRST COMMANDMENT. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT? NOTICE Matthew 4:10 Then saith Yahshua unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship YHWH thy Elohim, and him only shalt thou serve. So this first Commandment is still in force. SECOND COMMANDMENT: Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I YHWH thy Elohim [am] a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; 6

7 GEN. 10:8 9, (KJV) "And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. {9} He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Yahweh." NIMROD was the WORLD'S FIRST DESPOT- an evil ruler. Before Yahweh means in place of Yahweh. He set himself up as a god in place of Yahweh. GEN. 11:4, (Gen 11:4 KJV) "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." BUILDING TOWER OF BABEL W/SIGNS OF HEAVENS (ZODIAC) IN TOP FOR WORSHIP OF SUN, MOON, STARS. SO WE SEE THAT IDOLATRY WAS A SIN LONG BEFORE SINAI. NEW TESTAMENT: John 4:24 YAHSHUA SAID: YAH [is] Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. NO STATUES, NO IMAGES, NO PICTURES THAT PEOPLE THINK LOOK LIKE YAHSHUA; NO BABY YAHSHUA IN A MANGER. ALL THESE THINGS ARE IDOLS. THIRD COMMANDMENT: Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. MEANS FAR MORE THAN JUST CURSING OR SWEARING. IN VAIN MEANS TO MAKE WORTHLESS, TO MAKE OF NO VALUE, TO ESTEEM LIGHTLY, TO BRING TO NOTHING, TO DENY. IF YOU DENY HIS HOLY NAME, AND PERSIST IN USING MAN MADE SUB STITUTES, YOU ARE BREAKING THE THIRD COMMANDMENT. GEN 4:26, (KJV) "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon 7

8 the name of Yahweh." This means to PROFANE, NOT CALL UPON. His NAME was FIRST USED IN GEN. 2:4. They BE- GAN TO TAKE His Name IN VAIN and it WAS A SIN LONG BEFORE SINAI. New Testament: Read the SO CALLED Lord s PRAYER, MAT. 6:9, "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." HALLOWED MEANS HOLY. John 17:6, " I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word." (DURING HIS PRAYER THE NIGHT BEFORE HE DIED) MANIFESTED MEANS TAUGHT, OR BROUGHT TO LIGHT. JOHN 17:12 " While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled." AND 26, " And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." HE TAUGHT THEM THE TRUE NAME OF HIS FATHER. FOURTH COMMANDMENT: Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of YHWH thy Elohim: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: For [in] six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore YHWH blessed the sabbath day, and hal lowed it. This is THE REAL CULPRIT, AS SUNDAY CHRISTIANS SEE IT. They hate it, and say it is done away or changed. BUT LOOK! GEN 2:1 2 3 The SABBATH was given as A SYMBOL OR MEMORIAL OF CREATION. IT WAS SIN TO POLLUTE the 8

9 SABBATH BEFORE SINAI. SEE EXODUS 16: New Testament: IS SUNDAY the Master s day? MARK 2: Yahshua said He was Lord of the Sabbath, NOT Sunday. FIFTH COMMANDMENT: Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee. GEN. 3:6 EVE DISOBEYED HER ONLY PARENT, THEREBY DISHONORING HIM. And she was expelled from the garden and later died for her sins. SIXTH COMMANDMENT: EXODUS 20:13, YOU SHALL DO NO MURDER. GEN 4:8 11, CURSE ON CAIN. GEN 9:6, CAPITAL PUN- ISHMENT FOR SIN. SEVENTH COMM.: EXODUS 20:14, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY. GEN 39:7 9,"...HOW THEN CAN I DO THIS GREAT WICKEDNESS AND SIN AGAINST ELOHIM? Joseph knew that adultery was a sin, way back in Egypt, long before the 10 Commandments were formally given at Sinai. EIGHTH COMM.: EXODUS 20:15, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL. GEN 44:2 7. THEFT WAS A SIN CENTURIES BEFORE SINAI. NINTH COMM.: EXODUS 20:16, YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST YOUR NEIGHBOR. GEN. 20:2 9 A GREAT SIN. TENTH COMM.: Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manser vant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's. 9

10 GEN 3:6 AGAIN. THE FRUIT OF THIS TREE BELONGED TO HER NEIGHBOR, YHWH, IN THIS CASE. BUT SHE DESIRED IT. SHE COVETED IT, THEN SHE TOOK IT. ACTUALLY, IN THIS ONE ACT, EVE BROKE AT LEAST FIVE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: PUT SATAN AHEAD OF YHWH, DISHONORED HER ONLY PARENT, IDOLIZED THE TREE, COVETED THE FRUIT, THEN SHE STOLE IT. NOW WE'VE ALREADY SHOWN IN THE New Testament WHERE THE FIRST 4 COMMANDMENTS ARE CON- FIRMED BY YAHSHUA; THE LAST 6 ARE ALL NAMED BY YAHSHUA IN MAT 19:17 19: Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], Yahweh: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Yahshua said, Thou shalt do no murder (#6), Thou shalt not commit adultery (#7), Thou shalt not steal (#8), Thou shalt not bear false witness (#9), Honour thy father and [thy] mother (#5): and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself (#10). SO THERE YOU HAVE ALL 10 OF THE COMMAND- MENTS BOTH BEFORE SINAI, AND ALSO IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, IN THE SAVIOR'S OWN WORDS. HE SUMMED THEM UP IN THE TWO GREAT COM- MANDMENTS, MAT. 22: (Mat 22:37-40 KJV) "Yahshua said unto him, Thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38} This is the first and great commandment. {39} And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." The FIRST 4 tell us HOW to WORSHIP YaHWeH, and the LAST 6 tell us HOW to LOVE, and RESPECT our FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS. WE MUST OBEY. We must KEEP His 10

11 COMMANDMENTS. Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and [so is] also the Holy Spirit, whom Yahweh hath given to them that obey him. Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; I John 5:3 For this is the love of Yahweh, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of Yahshua. We must STUDY to show ourselves approved (2 Tim. 2:15), GROW IN grace and knowledge (2 Peter 3:18), OVERCOME Sin and our human nature (Rev. 2:7, 2:17, 3:12 and 3:21), and WORSHIP Him IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH (John 4:23-24). To do this, we must ROOT OUT ALL FALSE WORSHIP. Being CLOSE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH for Yahweh. See what Yahshua said to some who thought they were worshipping Him properly: (Mat 7:21-23 KJV) "Not every one that saith unto me Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. {22} Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out demons? and in thy name done many wonderful works? {23} And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." How terrible! How disappointed they will be when they hear those words, after spending a lifetime following the false teachings of a church or synagogue, and not the Scriptures. We must be diligent. We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). ~ 11
