Arrive Ben Gurion Airport, you are met, assisted and transferred to your hotel in vibrant Tel Aviv. Eve: Welcome dinner at Maganda restaurant in the Yemenite Quarter. Overnight Carlton Hotel. (D) Monday, June 8, 2015 Tel Aviv After breakfast. Visit Independence Hall, where in 1948, David Ben Gurion proclaimed Israel s independence. Travel to the Palmach Museum, dedicated to the pre-state strike force unit in the Haganah, after the creation on the state of Israel it will evolve into the IDF ( Israel Defense Forces AKA Zvah Haganah Le israel). Drive to the old port city of Jaffa, magnificently restored. Explore the reconstructed Artists Quarter with its galleries and boutiques. End the day at Neve Tzedek (downtown Soho). The first Jewish neighborhood to be built outside Jaffa in the 19 th century a quiet garden suburb. Neve Tzedek has a style all of its own. ( B) Tuesday, June 9, 2015 Tel Aviv/Galilee After breakfast. Follow the Romans ancient Via Maris (coastal road) to ancient Caesarea, with its Roman theatre and aqueduct, Crusader fortress and Ottoman port. After an authentic (and delicious) Druze lunch, high in the Carmel Mountains, meet Druze Israelis and see how different- and similar your families are! On to the sparkling port city of Haifa; View the golden-domed Bahai Shrine and the colorful Persian Gardens before departing Haifa. Continue to the romantic port of Acre (Akko) with its underground Crusader City and fragrant bazaars. Wind through the verdant Galilee to Tiberias and sail the Sea of Galilee to a lakeside kibbutz in time for dinner at its cozy Guest House, your home for two nights. (B.L.D)

3 Wednesday, June 10, 2015 Galilee After breakfast. Morning visit to Safed, one of Judaism s holiest cities; visit the ancient synagogues and walk through the charming Artists Quarter. Ascend the Golan Heights; up high, overlooking the entire Galilee, you ll gain a greater understanding of the controversy over who controls this region. We will also visit a winery and enjoy wine tasting in one of the many wineries of this area. Next, we re taking you jeep-riding through the hills of the Golan, then rafting on the River Jordan two fabulously fun-filled adventures! Back to our kibbutz for dinner and overnight. (B.D) Thursday, June 11, 2015 Galilee/Jerusalem After breakfast. We say goodbye to the northern part of Israel and drive to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley. Our first stop is Kibbutz Degania, the first kibbutz in Israel and home to the late general, Moshe Dayan. Continue to the old synagogue of Beit Alfa with its unique mosaic floor. Continue to the beautiful oasis of Gan Hashlosha (Sachne) with its natural pools connected by gentle waterfalls. Selected by 'ʹTime'ʹ magazine as one of twenty sites around the world worthy of a detour. Stop at Bet Shean, to see the astounding, ongoing excavations of a huge Roman city! On to Jerusalem, upon arrival we stop at Mt. Scopus for a view of Jerusalem and a traditional Shehechiyanu ceremony. Overnight Inbal. (B) Friday, June 12, 2015 Jerusalem After breakfast. Drive to the Hadassah Medical Center to see the brilliant Chagall Windows. Next stop the new Yad Vashem * Museum. It was opened to the public in The museum is designed in the shape of a prism penetrating the mountain. Divided into nine galleries, the museum relates the stories of the Jewish communities before the

The personal experiences and feelings of the victims of the Holocaust constitute the groundwork for the museum s exhibits. Photographs, films, documents, letters, works of art, and personal items found in the camps and ghettos are all an integral part of the exhibits. As you exit the Museum itself is the Hall of Names, an inspiring memorial containing over three million names of Holocaust victims that were submitted by their families and relatives. Names can still be submitted by visitors to the memorial and added to the computerized archive. In addition to the Holocaust History Museum, Yad Vashem has other memorials and monuments including the Hall of Remembrance, where the ashes of the dead are buried and an eternal flame burns in commemoration; Yad Layeled, the children s memorial, commemorating the one and a half million Jewish children who were murdered in the Holocaust; and The Memorial to the Deportees, an authentic railroad car hanging over the cliff on the road winding down from the mountain. The car was used to transport Jews who had been banished from their homes to the concentration camps. The Avenue of the Righteous Among the Nations has over 2,000 trees which were planted in honor of non-jews who endangered their lives in order to rescue Jews from the Nazis; The archives and library of Yad Vashem house the world s largest repository of material about the Holocaust. *** Next up, drive via the Supreme Court Building and the Knesset (Parliament) to the Shrine of the Book, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Time to walk through the Israel Museum and the Billy Rose Sculpture Garden; see the Scale Model of ancient Jerusalem. Later on visit the Mahane Yehuda, the largest outdoor market in Jerusalem, savor the sights and sounds of the local residents doing their last minute shopping before Shabbat. Later on this evening we will have a Traditional Friday Night Shabbat Dinner at the hotel. (B.D) ***Children and those that do not want to visit Yad Vashem will be taken to the Jerusalem Zoo instead with a chaperone. Saturday, June 13, 2015 Jerusalem. Shabbat Shalom!! After breakfast. (B) Sunday, June 14, 2015 Jerusalem After breakfast. Begin the day on the summit of the Mount of Olives for an historical overview of the city. Continue to the City of David, where Jerusalem began over 3,000

See a short 3D movie about the site and explore the excavations, including Hezekiah s Water Tunnel (bring flashlights and water shoes) or the dry Canaanite Tunnel and the site some believe to be the palace of King David. Then enter the walls of the Old City and proceed to the Western Wall where you will have a reservation for a tour of the amazing tunnels adjacent to it. Running along a huge underground portion of the Western Wall, the tunnels contain remnants of the road that ran beside the Temple Mount in Herod'ʹs time. Next explore the Jewish Quarter and see the ancient Cardo, a Byzantine street that is now the world s oldest shopping arcade, the Hurva Square, the central square of the Jewish Quarter. End the day with a visit to the Hasmonium Tunnel( Schedule permitting). Overnight Jerusalem. (B) Monday, June 15, 2015 Jerusalem-BAR MITZVAH at Masada After breakfast. Travel via the Judean desert and the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Masada. Ascend by cable car to this last stronghold of the Zealots in their struggle against the Romans. We start the day with the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service, followed by refreshments. Visit the excavations, Herod the Great s Palace, synagogue and bathhouse. Later on we drive to the Herods Hotel to enjoy lunch and an opportunity to enjoy an unsinkable swim in the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea. (We provide the changing facilities and lockers.) Drive via the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, on your return to Jerusalem. (B.L) Tuesday, June 16, 2015 Jerusalem- Ben Gurion After breakfast. A final day at leisure in Jerusalem for last minute shopping or to revisit sights of particular interest. Farewell dinner at the Olive and Fish restaurant followed by a transfer to the airport in time to board your flight back home. (B.D) Wednesday, June 17, 2015 USA Arrive home later on today with memories to last a lifetime. When visiting religious sites we advise our clients to wear modest clothing.
