1 Perfecting of the Saints Ephesians.4: And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12. For the PERFECTING, OF THE SAINTS, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, UNTO A PERFECT MAN, UNTO THE MEASURE OF THE STATURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST.

2 PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS 1 JOHN.4: Hearin is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son to be propitation for our sins. 11. Beloved, If God so loved us, we ought also love one another. 12. No man has seen God any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, AND HIS LOVE IS PERFECTED IN US. ROMANS.5:8 8. But God commended his love toward us, in the while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

3 God s Love Agape (Sacrificial Love) It cost God to express His love us. ISAIAH.53: For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3. He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4. Surely HE HATH BORNE OUR GRIEFS, AND CARRIED OUR SORROWS: yet we did esteem him stricken smitten of God, and afflicted.

4 LOVE OF GOD DEMONSTRATED HE WAS WOUNDED FOR TRANSGRESSIONS, HE WAS BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITIES: THE CHASTISEMENT OF OUR PEACE WAS UPON HIM; AND WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. ISAIAH.53:5

5 God s Love The Price Paid 1 CORINTHIANS.6:20 & 7: For ye are bought with a Price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God s 23. Ye are bought with a Price: be not ye the servants of men. 1PETER.1:23 23.Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible WORD (Thought in Action) of God, which Iiveth and abideth for ever.

7 Repentance 2 CORINTHIANS.7: For godly sorrow worketh Repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. JOHN.16:8 8. And when he (the Holy Spirit) is come, will reprove the world of Sin Repentance always brings a man to the point I HAVE SINNED The bedrock of Christianity is repentance and forgiveness

8 Repentance HEBREWS.4: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

9 King David s Repentance PSALM.51: Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and, and cleanse me from my sin. 3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4. Against thee, thee only have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

10 True & Genuine Repentance (Cost to Pay) ZACHEAUS REPENTED LUKE:19: And Zachaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9.And Jesus said unto him, this day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

But if forgive not me their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. MATTEW.7: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them : for this is the law and the prophets.

12 Perfecting of the Saints MARK.11: Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25. And when ye stand praying forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive your trespasses. 26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

13 The Parable of the unmerciful (Matthew.18:23-35) 23. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24. And when he had began to reckon, one was brought unto him which owed him ten thousand talents. 25. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

14 The Parable The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, we have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

15 The Parable 29. And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30. And he would not : but went and cast into prison, till should pay the debt. 31. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

16 The Parable 31. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 32. Should not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? 33. And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pall that was due unto him. 34. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you,, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

17 Perfecting the Saints MATTHEW.5:8 8. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. MATTHEW.5:44 & But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. 46. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?

18 Perfecting of the Saints PROVERBS.25: If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: 22. For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

19 Perfecting of the Saints MATTHEW.5: But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: But whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23.Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the alter, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; 24. Leave there thy gift before the alter, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

20 Transformation Before the Translation 2 PETERr.1:4 4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. It is the Holy Spirit that rouses a man s conscience and brings him into the presence of God. (God forgiven man is a holy man.) HEBREW.9: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many ; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation

25 ZOHAR As Rav Aba sat by the gate of the city Lod, He saw a traveler standing near the edge of a cliff on the mountainside. The traveler must have been weary from road, for as Rave Aba watched, he lay down and slept. While he was sleeping, a snake came toward him. Then a lizard suddenly appeared and killed the snake. When the traveler awoke, he saw the dead snake and stepped back from the cliff. Just then the cliff was torn from the mountainside and fell to the valley below, but the traveler was saved. If he had awakened a moment later, he would have fallen to his death.

26 ZOHAR Rav Aba approached the traveler and said: What have you done that the Holy One, blessed be He, performed two miracles for you: saving you from the snake, and saving you from the falling cliff? For these events did not happen without a reason.

27 ZOHAR The traveler replied, In all my day, I forgave and made peace with any man who did evil by me. If I could not make peace with him, I did not sleep on my bed before forgiving him and all others who had aggrieved me, and I did not harbor hatred for any harm that had been done to me. Moreover, from that day on, I tried to do kindness by them.

28 ZOHAR Rav Aba wept and said: This man s deeds exceeds those of Yosef, for those who injured Yosef were his brothers. Assuredly, he should have pitied and forgiven them from brotherhood. But this man was forgiving of every one, so he is greater than Yosef and is worthy to have the Holy One, blessed be He, perform one miracle after the other for his sake.

29 The Bride of Christ FOR I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL EXCEED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES, YE SHALL IN NO CASE ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. LORD JESUS CHRIST (Matthew.5:20)
