3 1 God Works Experiencing God Part 1 May 20, 2012 [Resource: Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby, Richard Blackaby and Claude King] I. Knowing God by experience Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent. John 17:3 (CEV) Seven Realities of Experiencing God 1. God is always at. 2. 4 2 II. God works. When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian... Years passed, and the king of Egypt died. 5 3 God Pursues and Invites Experiencing God Part 2 May 27, 2012 I. God pursues When the Lord saw that he had caught Moses attention, God called to him from the bush, Moses! Moses!... Then he said, I am the God of your ancestors the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Exodus 3:4,6 (NLT) Reality 2: God pursues a continuing love with you that is real and. 11 9 Adjusting to Obey and Experience God Experiencing God Part 4 June 10, 2012 I. Major Adjustments Then Moses went back home and talked it over with Jethro, his father-in-law. With your permission, Moses said, I would like to go back to Egypt to visit my family.... Go with my blessing, Jethro replied. Exodus 4:18 (NLT)... Moses and Aaron went to see Pharaoh. They told him, This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go... That same day Pharaoh sent this order to the slave drivers and foremen...:... Load them down with more work. Make them sweat! So Moses went back to the Lord and protested, Why have you mistreated your own people like this, Lord?... Since I gave Pharaoh your message, he has been even more brutal to your people. You have not even begun to rescue them! Exodus 5:1,6,8-9,22-23 (NLT) Then the Lord said to Moses, Go back to Pharaoh, and tell him to let the people of Israel leave Egypt... But I will cause Pharaoh to be stubborn so I can multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.... When I show the Egyptians my power and force them to let the Israelites go, they will realize that I am the Lord. So Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded them.
