19 THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT Jesus is teaching all of His followers/disciples. Jesus delineates between true disciples and nominal disciples. Emphasis on spiritual poverty. Emphasis on faith in Jesus. Spiritual poverty and faith in Jesus will produce a pattern of obedience.
