2 LN Student-Athletes of the Week Jared Hankins, Basketball and Jainiah Harden, Cheerleader Hankins, a senior, led the Wildcats with 23 points in the win over North Central on Friday night. An honor roll student, Hankins has signed with Indiana State and will play for the Sycamores next year. Harden, a freshman, has embraced the team s motto of working to be great now both on the cheer mat and in the classroom. She was also on the honor roll this past semester. Congratulations, Jared and Jainiah!

3 Cheerleading: The LN cheerleaders had a great week working with the cheerleaders at Fall Creek Valley. The two squads practiced together earlier in the week and did a fantastic job putting together routines for the North Central game. Great job, Cats! Pictures by Alanna Ampil.

5 Boys Basketball: The IBCA #8 Wildcats (10-4, 1-2 MIC) beat North Central behind a balanced scoring attack from Jared Hankins, Tony Perkins, DJ Hughes, and Shamar Avance. The Wildcats will travel to MIC conference foe Center Grove on Friday night, January 25 th. Pictures by Alanna Ampil.

7 Girls Basketball: The IBCA #12 Wildcats (16-5, 4-2 MIC) lost a hard fought game to #1 Hamilton Southeastern, Jayla Smith led the team with 21 points. The team will travel to Fishers on Tuesday to take on the Tigers before finishing the regular season at home against MIC rival Center Grove for senior night on Friday, January 25 th. The IHSAA tournament draw was announced on Sunday night, and the Wildcats will play the winner of North Central and Warren Central. Lauren Gunn was featured on the MIC network as a quoted athlete last week! Check out her quote below, great outlook on to approach the game!

8 Swimming & Diving: The team had the week off from competition in order to train for the JV Winter Invitational on Saturday. The girls varsity squad will be in action at North Central for the IHSAA sectional on January 31 st and the boys team will travel to North Central for a dual meet on January 29 th.

9 Wrestling: The wrestlers beat Anderson on senior night, Seniors Karsten Harshbarger, Deacon Pettiford, Deon Pettiford, Luke Aguiar, and managers Cassie Skaggs and Mia Griffin were recognized before the match. Great job, seniors! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to LN!
