He insinuates Elohim can t be trusted. He insinuates Elohim is withholding the best from her. He subtly implies that he is the one who has her best interest in mind.

There are many (more) verses that refer to man s whole being by mentioning only his body and soul, and other verses that refer to his whole being by mentioning more than three component parts, or with different lists of component parts (Luke 10:27, Mark 12:30, Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37; Hebrews 4:12).
