Fall Feasts Overview Elul 1 Begins The 40 days Of Teshuvah (returning) and Preparation prior to Atonement. The Three Levels Of Returning Are 1. Repentance of sinful ways and deeds. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; KJV 2. Turn back to God first. Ex 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. KJV 3. Turn back to His word. Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path KJV

The 10 Days of AWE 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (KJV) 1. Hebrew history teaches us that Three Books were opened. 2. Inscriptions are made in them on Rosh Hashanah. 3. Then 10 Days of Awe ending on Atonement when the inscriptions become sealed. (Yom Kippur).

The 10 Days of AWE 1. One for the righteous. 2. One for the wicked. 3. One for the lukewarm (in-between). And in most Hebrew historical accounts the Book Of Life is mentioned, as the book that also receives an inscription on Rosh Hashanah and you can be blotted out or recorded in.

Read The Accounts Of The Seven Churches From A Hebrew Mindset Rev 3:1-6 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Read The Accounts Of The Seven Churches From A Hebrew Mindset Rev 3:4-6 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV)

Fall Feasts Overview Tishri 1 Sept. 12 th. Rosh Hashanah The 10 days of Awe begins. This is time when the Priest offered penitent prayers and requests before the Lord. Hebraic History These 10 days of Awe are a time when it is believed the Gates of Heaven are open to hear the penitent prayers and petitions of Israel before all things become sealed on Atonement.

Gen 28:12-17 And he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said, "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants. 14 Your descendants shall also be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 And behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." 16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it." 17 And he was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." NASB

Atonement / Yom Kippur Lev 23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. Lev 23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. (KJV) The single most important day of the Hebrew and Christian year is the Day of Atonement.

The Theme Of Holiness Is Central To The Day Of Atonement. The word HOLY comes from the Hebrew word KODOSH, it is used more than 80 times. The word KODOSH means; to set apart to cut apart. Lev 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you (to make a distinction, cut apart) from other people, that ye should be mine. (KJV)

The Biblical Name The biblical name for the Day of Atonement is YOM KIPPUR, meaning The Day of Covering or Concealing. This sacrificial system was designed to cover sin until it was finally put away through the death of Jesus Christ. Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (KJV)

The Blood Of The New Covenant Covenant Matt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (KJV) Gives life. John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (KJV) Brings redemption. Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV)

Makes propitiation (compensation). Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (KJV) Justifies man. Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (KJV) Provides access through forgiveness. I Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Provides reconciliation. Col 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (KJV) Provides cleansing. I Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (KJV) Makes us over comers. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (KJV)

The Four Elements Of Atonement Lev 23:27-28 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an 1. holy convocation unto you; and ye shall 2. afflict your souls, and offer 3. an offering made by fire unto the LORD.28 And ye shall 4. do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. (KJV)

The 4 Elements Of Atonement 1. Hold A Convocation (Assembly). 2. Humble Your Souls (Fasting). 3. Present An Offering (burnt & peace Jud. 20:26). Burnt offering is for sinfulness Christ the Messiah. Peace / Heave / Wave offering. One part for the Priest (house of worship) and the rest for the those offering it in order to feed the poor during Tabernacles, it represents a meal with the Lord. 4. Do No Work. A day of reflection before the Lord.

The Day Of Atonement It begins at Sunset on the 9 th. of Tishrei and ends at sunset on the 10 th. of Tishrei. (Sept ) Atonement is a day to devote 24 hours to prayer and worship unto The King of Kings. In Israel the whole country stops and there are no cars on the roads, even secular Hebrews take this day off. For the Christians consider stopping all normal activities rest, prayer, fasting and worship (afflict our souls). In other words all of our being is being summoned to The Presence of The Lord!

Zech 14:16-19 The Golden Gate

This Was Done Once Per Year Lev 16:11-19 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: 12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail: 13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not: 14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times. 15 Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

16 And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel. 18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about. 19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel. (KJV)

Jesus Our High Priest Lives' To Make Intercession For Us Heb 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (KJV)

Customs and Traditions On Atonement The evening before Atonement is the Tishrei 9 meal, which is similar to a traditional Sabbath meal. It takes place before sunset. The Kiddush, prayer over wine, is not recited, but the blessing over the challah bread a traditional Jewish bread, eaten on Sabbath is prayed for. Blessed are you king of the universe who delivers forth bread from the earth.

Atonement Memorial Lights in memory of parents who are deceased, are lit and burn throughout Yom Kippur. Then the two holiday candles are lit and blessed. This lighting signals the beginning of Yom Kippur, which means no eating or drinking from this point. First Blessing: Blessed are You Adonai, Eternal One, Who enables us to welcome Yom Kippur by kindling these lights.

Atonement Second Blessing: Blessed are You Adonai, King of the universe, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and encouraged us to observe this day. Blessings over Children: May God make you like (for a boy) Ephraim and Menasseh, (for a girl) like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah. May God bless you and safeguard you. May God illuminate his countenance for you and be gracious to you. May God turn his countenance to you and establish peace for you.

Five Traditions That Are Observed Under The Talmud (oral law) Five Prohibitions practiced by Hebrews: Once the holiday candles are lit, Yom Kippur and its five prohibitions take effect. From sunset to sunset, there is; 1. No eating or drinking. 2. No bathing. 3. No using creams or oils. 4. No wearing leather shoes, orthodox Jews routinely wear canvas sneakers under there dress on Yom Kippur. 5. No sexual relations. However, children not yet bar-mitzvah, women who are pregnant or nursing, and anyone who is sick or infirm, may eat and drink as needed.

Closing The Gates During Neilah, the ark is left open for maximum communication between the congregation and God. At the conclusion of the service, the shofar is blown again. It is custom for the congregation to remain standing.

The Closing Of The Gates Neilah: This is the final, or concluding service of Yom Kippur. The Hebrew word, neilah, means locked, and is meant to symbolize the closing gates of heaven. Break-The-Fast: When the fast is over, families eat a light dairy meal, bagels, lox or soup. Juice and coffee are almost always present

This Why The Trumpets Sound For 40 Days We must ask ourselves what will remain if all of my worldly possessions, career successes and personal works were tested by fire on the day of Atonement / October 2 nd.? The issue for believers is, just what have you sown into heaven? 1 Cor 3:12-15 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (KJV)

But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done. If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward. 15 But if any person's work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire. 1 Cor 3:12-15 AMP

This Is How It Plays Out 1. Elul 1, Set your life in order / 30 days of trumpet warnings for us and to remind God of His Mercy. 2. Tishri 1, The Trumpet sounds / inscriptions are made in the books. We enter the 10 Days of Awe. 3. Tishri 10, Atonement / Judgment, Judgment Seat of Christ, The books are opened sealed. 4. Tishri 15-22, The Time of Tabernacles. Inscribed and Sealed in the books records how we start our Tabernacling with the Lord for the New Year.

The Feasts Of Gladness Succot / Tabernacles Lev 23:39-44 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath (10-7), and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath (10-14). 40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD. (KJV)

The Theme Of Tabernacles Is To Remind Us We Are Pilgrims Heb 11:13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (KJV)

Sukkah / Tabernacles / Talmud You will dwell in booths for seven days. -Leviticus 23:42 A sukkah must have at least two and a half walls covered with a material that will not blow away in the wind. With leafy boughs on the roof. The "walls" of the sukkah do not have to be solid; canvas covering tied or nailed down is acceptable and quite common in the United States. A sukkah may be any size, so long as it is large enough for you to fulfill the commandment of dwelling in it.

2 Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (KJV)

An American Family Sukkah but the spirit giveth life

The Four Species, The Talmud Oral Law & Rabbinic Explanations An etrog, citrus fruit similar to a lemon native to Israel, in English it is called a citron, it is not in the bible and can also mean any citrus fruit. A palm branch, two willow branches and three myrtle branches. The six branches are bound together and referred to collectively as the lulav, because the palm branch is by far the largest part. The etrog is held separately. With these four species in hand, one recites a blessing and waves the species in all six directions (east, south, west, north, up and down), symbolizing the fact that God is everywhere. Judaism

The Blessing Blessed are you, Lord, our God, king of the universe who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to take up the lulav. (Amen) Judaism 101www.jewfaq.org

Why Are These Four Plants Used Instead Of Other Plants? There are two explanations of the symbolic significance of these plants: that they represent different parts of the body, or that they represent different kinds of Jews. 1. The long straight palm branch represents the spine. The myrtle leaf, which is a small oval, represents the eye. The willow leaf, a long oval, represents the mouth, and the etrog fruit represents the heart. All of these parts have the potential to be used for sin, but should join together in the performance of the commandments. Judaism 101www.jewfaq.org

Why Are These Four Plants Used Instead Of Other Plants? 2. The etrog, which has both a pleasing taste and a pleasing scent, represents Jews who have achieved both knowledge of Torah and acceptance of 613 commandments. The palm branch, which produces tasty fruit, but has no scent, represents Jews who have knowledge of Torah but are lacking in obedience to the commandments. The myrtle leaf, which has a strong scent but no taste, represents Jews who accept the commandments but have little knowledge of Torah. The willow, which has neither taste nor scent, represents Jews who have now knowledge of Torah and do not perform the mitvot. Judaism 101www.jewfaq.org

The Feast Of Tabernacles And The New Testament Date on Hebrew calendar: 15th.-21st. of Tishrei (September- October) Scriptural references: Lev. 23:33-44, Deut 16:13-15, Zech 14:16-19, John 7:2-52.Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles The Feast of Tabernacles was the last of the seven Biblical mandated celebrations. It was also the happiest, in fact it was the only one in which the Israelites were commanded by God to rejoice! Deut 16:14 And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant and the Levite, the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates. NKJV Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. KJV

The Feast of Tabernacles As with the other days, the name of this holy day tells its purpose. Succot is two-fold, the first being related to the fall harvest. As Leviticus 23 teaches, Sukkot was to be a time of bringing in the latter harvest. It is, in other words, the Jewish "Thanksgiving." A secondary meaning is found in the command to dwell in booths as a memorial of Israel's wilderness experience and God s "habitation, with them during their forty-year camping trip In fact, it is widely believed that the Puritan colonists, who were great students of the Hebrew Scriptures, based the first American Thanksgiving on Sukkot.

Tabernacles, Succot or Booths God tabernacles with Adam in the Garden at the time of creation. God tabernacles with Israel in the dessert. God tabernacles with us at Jesus 1 st. coming. God tabernacles with us at His return.

The Second Temple Period During this holy day, a priest would take a water pitcher down to the Pool of Siloam, dip it in the water and carry it back to the Temple. Crowds of people would form a huge processional behind the priest, dancing, singing and chanting Psalms ( ) as they entered the Temple mount. For each of the first six days of Sukkot, the processional would circle the Temple altar one time, and on the seventh day there would be seven processionals to magnify the joy.

The Second Temple Period The highlight of the ceremony came when the priest dramatically poured the water at the altar of the Temple. The response of the multitudes was so immense that the Talmud says, who ever has not been in Jerusalem for this ceremony has not even experienced real joy! Hence, it became known as the Rejoicing of the House of Drawing Water. With joy you will draw water from the well of salvation.

Succot In The New Testament Succot in Jesus time was a major celebration often referred to simply as The Feast. It incorporated ceremonies using light and water. Yeshua celebrated Tabernacles. Jesus came to the temple during Succot and proclaimed John 7:37-38 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." NKJV He was asking does anyone understand the true significance of this ceremony? If anyone thirsts let him believe in me. I am the Messiah who will pour out the Holy Spirit on Israel!

Sukkot And Rich Spiritual Lessons The apostle John openly declares the divine nature of Yeshua (Jesus) by using Succot as the Metaphor. John 1:1 (Gen 1:1-2:3) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. NKJV Dwelt Skenoo NT:4637 skenoo (skay-no'-o); from NT:4636; to tent or encamp, i.e. (figuratively) to occupy (as a mansion) or (specifically) to reside (as God did in the Tabernacle of old, a symbol of protection and communion): New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary

The Metaphor Notice the metaphor John employs to describe this incarnation of the Messiah? Using the Word, "dwelt" among his people, John describes the Messiah's first coming and uses the most obvious metaphor (we call this Hebraic understanding), the First day of Sukkot, or the day that celebrates the dwelling of God! Could Jesus actually have been born during Tabernacles? Some believe He was. The facts point to this time and not December.

Some Controversy (in western thought & theology) When was the actual date of Yeshua's birth in Bethlehem? The Western Church, since the fourth century C.E., adopted December 25 as the official day to acknowledge dwelt or birth the incarnation of Messiah or God Coming In The Flesh. Most historians admit that this was in concession to the pagans of the Roman Empire than to the Holy Scriptures. The early Catholic Church "Christianized" existing pagan days and festivals to accommodate and try to influence the many new converts who celebrated the Winter Solstice on December 25 th.

Some Controversy December 25 th. happened to be an ancient feast to celebrate the return of the sun after the winter solstice. It had no biblical or historic basis as the birth of Yeshua, but was adopted culturally as the date for His birth. When the apostle John describes the birth of the Messiah, he paints it in terms of Tabernacles. The simplicity of this logic is astounding.

The Truth Sukkot illustrates the fact that God would dwell in the midst of his people through the presence of the Messiah. He literally fulfilled his promise on the day of Tabernacles. The birth of Yeshua on Sukkot is collaborated by evidences pointed out by creditable western Christian theologians. Some have noted that the chronological calculations in the Gospels lead us to place the birth of Messiah in fall.

The Truth Yeshua's earthly ministry lasted three and onehalf years. We know he died on Passover (March/April), by backtracking we arrive much closer to Sukkot (September/October) than to December 25 (A.T. Robertson, A Harmony of the Gospels, p. 267). The inconsistency of shepherds watching the flocks in the fields during the dead of winter. The Mishna (rabbinic commentary) states that, because of winter weather, the flocks around Bethlehem were normally brought into a protective corral called a "sheepfold" from November through February. Hence the December date seems unlikely. ("Luke," Adam Clark's Commentary, Vol. 5, p. 370).

The Facts One clue surrounding the details of the Messiah's birth has to do with the crowds seeking housing with the result that there was "no room in the inn" (Luke 2:7). History tells us the Romans were known to take their censuses according to the prevailing customs of the occupied territories. Hence, in the case of Israel, they would opt to have people report to their home provinces at a time that would be convenient for them (A feast, Sukkot / Tabernacles). There is no apparent logic to calling a census in the middle of winter (December 25 th.).

The Facts The more logical time of taxation would be after the harvest, in the fall. Especially since this coincided with one of the major Jewish feasts such as Tabernacles. This would account for the entire area of Jerusalem and Bethlehem being overrun with pilgrims. The only major holy day that takes place in the fall is Tabernacles / Sukkot. It seems that there is a holy day pointing to the place where He comes to "tabernacle" with His people. Is it outlined in Tabernacles?

The Facts The seventh day of Tabernacles has spiritual significance for believers in Yeshua. AMP John 7:37 Now on the final and most important day (7 th. Day) of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! However, as we reach the eighth day, we come to a special Hebrew celebration, known as, the Eighth Day of Assembly. Lev 23:36 For seven days present offerings made to the LORD by fire, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made to the LORD by fire. It is the closing assembly; do no regular work. NIV

The Facts Why would God command a special memorial on the eighth day? We know it is the last day of the festival, but this day may contain a connection to the fulfillment of an ancient Covenant made between Abraham and God. If it is true that Yeshua's birth took place on the first day of Sukkot, what would happen to a Jewish child on the eighth day of their life?

The Truth About Tabernacles On the eighth day, when it was time for his circumcision, he was given the name Yeshua, which is what the angel had called him before his conception. Luke 2:21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called JESUS, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb. NKJV Believers in the Messiah have good cause to remember Tabernacles. Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, NKJV The Abrahamic Covenant fulfilled through circumcision. Genesis 17:2 I will make My covenant between Me and you" v:11 circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. V:12 eight days old.

He Still Dwells and Fills The Thirsty Soul Yeshua celebrated Tabernacles. I am the Messiah who will pour out the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth on you!

Tabernacles, Succot or Booths God tabernacles with Adam in the Garden at the time of creation. God tabernacles with Israel in the dessert. God tabernacles with us at Jesus 1 st. coming. God tabernacles with us at His return.

CAPTURE OUR HEARTS NEW YEAR CONSECRATION I, this day, consecrate my entire life to glorify my Heavenly Father by my obedience to His Written Word and the life examples of Jesus Christ. PRINCIPLE 1 All things earthy that I posses shall not be considered my own, but belonging to my Heavenly Father, and shall be held in trust by me to be used and directed by the wisdom of the Spirit of God. PRINCIPLE 2 If at any time in my life I should be engaged in any earthly business and should employ men or women to aid me in conducting it, I shall reward them justly and equally, comparing their own energy expended with my own after adding a sufficient amount to my own to coverall risk that may be involved in the operation of my business.

PRINCIPLE 3 I will have seasons of prayer and fasting in behalf of mankind, weeping and bewailing their lost condition and imploring God to grant them repentance unto life as the Spirit of God may lead me. PRINCIPLE 4 By God s grace I shall keep all hardness and harshness out of my life and actions, but shall be gentle and unassuming, not professing above what God has imparted to me, not lifting myself above my brethren. I will always be merciful, forgiving those who have transgressed against me instead of punishing them.

PRINCIPLE 5 I shall not harbor any impure thoughts in my mind, but shall endeavor to make my every act uplifting. I shall regard the home as sacred and always guard my actions in the presence of the opposite sex. PRINCIPLE 6 I will always strive to be a peacemaker. First, by being peaceful and avoiding all unfruitful contentions. Treating all with justice and regarding their rights and their free agency, never trying to force any to my point of view. If I should offend anyone knowingly, I shall immediately apologize. I will not scatter evil reports about any person and try to defame their character. PRINCIPLE 7 I shall not become discouraged when I am persecuted on account of the righteousness, nor murmur on account of any suffering I undergo, but shall gladly give my life rather than depart from this high standard of life.
