1 Kings & Priests - 3 The cause for the Kingdom of God can not be viewed as something that only happens on Sundays in the church building. Today we are going to look at probably the most famous King in all of history King David 2 Samuel 11:1 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, Why do Kings go out to battle? To obtain provision for the vision. Believe it or not this is symbolic to us that LIFE might just be battle like. That it might be hard to stay at that job you are at it s a battle to get up and motivate yourself But you are assigned there to be a King and bring the light of the cause that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. Where should David be? If this is the time of year that Kings go out to battle where should David be? Out at battle But David makes a decision to stay home and NOT be in the place he is suppose to be. Look again at the beginning of this passage IT HAPPENED

2 You can figure out the direction of most conversation by the first sentence that comes out of a persons mouth For sake of time I ll summarize what happens next David goes out on his roof top, He looks over at his neighbors house and sees a women named bathsheba taking a bath She is amazingly beautiful He has her brought to his palace, He sleeps with her, she gets pregnant Problem is She s married. Uriah her husband is out at battle where David is suppose to be He calls to have Uriah come home He tries to get Uriah to sleep with her But Uriah is focused on the cause and does not want to lose focus while his men are out fighting.. Now David is involved in a cover up He send Uriah back out to the front lines with a letter from David to the commander Pretty much a death certificate. Uriah is killed in battle so David is pretty much involved in murder Then the baby that they had to cover up dies. A plague comes in it s a big mess The story gets worse and messy the point is this All of this happened Because David forgot WHY he was born He forgot that he was born for the cause of the King and His Kingdom.

3 When he should have been planning his battles he was planning his pleasures. Kings conquer its what they do But when Kings don t know they are Kings or forget that they should be conquering the enemy They will conquer the wrong things. Men and Women listen to me be careful of the things you choose to conquer. Oh David conquered Bathsheba but that wasn t His High Calling Mission. LISTEN Kings: There is a constant BATTLE for our Focus I m telling you it never ends. Haven t you felt in the last 10 years that time moves so much faster that it did 10 years ago? There s no time for anything the problem is focus. Every single day, I face a battle for my focus. David got distracted. He forgot why he was born. Have you heard people say this? There s got to be more to life??? Have you heard that? Maybe you have said it TGIF Thank God Its Friday

4 You are right Not about TGIF But there is more to life God put you here to BE a KING You are a child of God You are not ordinary You signed up for a Higher Calling than to just get by in life. Listen to me right now You are not insignificant You were BORN for a cause. God knows your name He fashioned a life that is a perfect fit for your calling But we must choose to step into it. YOUR HAPPINESS Is affected by your place in the case and calling. This is why a lot of people are NOT happy with life. They haven t found the VISION. The lane they are to run in If you did not have a chance to listen to week 1 or 2 of this series watch it online, get a copy in media sales. it will define that last statement. Many, Many KINGS miss out on the greatness of life because they don t have a PRIEST who is in his High Calling speaking life and vision into the their High Calling. Calling the greatness out of them. This is one of my main missions in life Irefuse to sit back and watch people who could change the world let the world change them. Many Kings are lost in life because they do not know they are Kings. Anyone ever heard of the Mid-Life crisis?

5 It s not a mid-life problem It s a Lack of Vision Crisis Kings, Not knowing who they are and what to conquer. So they conquer the wrong things. You were born for a cause If you don t have VISION from God, the world will give you VISION Turn on TV, Radio, open a Magazine That stuff is pumping vision into your veins Turn on the QVC home shopping network Pumping so much vision your willing to go into debt for it willing to give your piece of mind for it now you have to battle just to pay your debts off instead of the cause you are called to battle. OK, now we feel kinda bad Not my intension but are you ready for some good news? When Kings get ahold of Vision some amazing things can happen Back in 2 Samuel 11 The sentence started It Happened That s the Title of this sermon today On Wednesday Halloween Night. Kings and priests joined arms and went into battle. Not a fight against flesh and blood, but a battle against the fear of celebrating halloween, a battle against religious spirits, a battle against fear. and a battle against the Kingdom of darkness.

6 Wednesday Night, I saw Kings step up into their High Callings I could physically see members from our church transform into leaders as they step in VISION Kings came alive. We handed out over 3,000 bags of candy Wednesday Night. 3,000 opportunities for people to see our website link and click on it to browse our videos and see a sermon that would speak life to them. 3,000 opportunities to reach the children of our community for the cause of the Kingdom. We heard tons of conversations Who are you guys This is amazing You are a Church? You do this sort of thing at church? Kings seeing people from work and hearing their co-workers say this is YOUR CHURCH? 2 Tracks of vision we had for Mall-o-Ween was to hear people say This is a Church and to hear You are generous And guess what? IT HAPPENED Play News Video The last sentence of the local news report that was run about Malloween stated Kids were happy to get an entire bag of candy from the church's volunteers

7 He just said Kids were happy to get blessed with a generous bag of candy from the churches Kings. STAY FOCUSED You have a high calling Don t be distracted Remember you were born with a purpose Let s pray. Maybe today you have not found your high calling because today you have not made a decision for Jesus Christ. In your life IT HAPPENED is a lot like Brittany Spears OOPs I did it again Instead of It Happened I accomplished vision and calling The Holy Spirit will help you and Guide you The first step is accepting Jesus. And this is how we do it here at family church. Salvation Prayer
