3 NAMES OF ALLAH AL QUDDUS INTRODUCTION In order to achieve happiness we need to not want to change the people and surroundings around us but real happiness is inside us and it is achieved by belief and doing good deeds. What is Pure life? No impurity Angels are example of real pure creation as there is no dirt, evil or sins. Human beings naturally love purity but Shaitaan makes the impurity attractive to us. Allah tells us about purity in Surah Noor Surah Al Noor 21 It is said to not follow the steps of Shaitaan because he was to spread the impurity and negativity. It is a big favor and blessing of Allah to have a pure life. Shaitaan whispers us to corrupt our life and make it impure.

4 Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, All of the children of Adam are sinners, and the best sinners are those who repent. Source: Sunan al-tirmidhi 2499 Pure life means we makes mistakes but we repent to Allah. So if we utter an evil word or commit a sin then we must do istighfar immediately. Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, Verily, when the servant commits a sin a black spot appears upon his heart. If he abandons the sin, seeks forgiveness, and repents, then his heart will be polished. If he returns to the sin, the blackness will be increased until it overcomes his heart. It is the covering that Allah has mentioned: No, but on their hearts is a covering because of what they have earned. (83:14) Source: Sunan al-tirmidhi 3334 HOW IMPURITY CAN EFFECT US? Impurity is a barrier to our faith. Due to the effect of the sins that our heart becomes like a rock. And something pure like the Quran and hadith will not enter into a heart that is impure. This is why we need to always ask Allah to forgive our sins. So if we read the Quran and it does not go to our heart then we must observe ourselves and seek repentance. If the heart is dirty we cannot observe the Quran and sunnah. We need to keep the container of our heart very clean. WHO WILL GET PURE LIFE? 1. Those who believe. 2. Those who do good deeds Allah is the one to purify us. We will study the name of Allah Al Quddus in order to achieve a pure life. 2

5 What is the meaning of Al Quddus? Al Quddus means Pure and Purifying. Allah is the only one pure by himself and He does not need anything for purification. His names are the most pure and His attributes are the most pure. Allah is the most pure from all sins and imperfections. Allah is most pure from anyone resembling from His creation. Allah is so pure and there is no one like him. This is why shirk is dirty as it involves ascribing a partner to Allah Surah Ash Shura Ayah 11 Allah is the Most Pure and we must magnify Him. We must nor argue about decree. We must respect the legislation and rules sent by him. We must not make fun of the creation. We must not disrespect the religion. Allah Al Qudoos is pure so we need to purify ourselves. So we should feel that I want to be honoured by being pure. We always should want every place to be clean and I want the places to be clean. Clean ourselves and car this is our homework. Then next step will be to clean our tongue and our hearts. If angels make dua for the believers. May Allah forgive all the muslimeen even the one alive and dead and you will get forgivness for making this dua. This is the pure life. Your actions of purity and respect and magnifying Allah comes from the heart. 3

6 Why do I want to do this? Because I want to go to paradise which is the most pure. But for that now I need to work on myself and my actions. How people purify if they don t get into paradise? They will be cleaned by fire first. So its better we ask for istighfaar in this world. We don t want to be purified in hell rather we will prefer to be purified here. The pure life is the believer who will purify himself inside and outside. Surah Al Furqan Ayah 48 Allah sends the pure rain from the skies that cleans all the environment. Anything from the skies is pure e.g. Quran, Hadith and it purifies our heart from the diseases and sickness. So we need to be pure from outside and inside. Surah Al Bayyinah Ayah 2 Quran is a pure book and it purifies the people. 4

7 Surah Al Zumar Ayah 53 We need to purify our self from the sins by asking Forgiveness from Allah. This Ayah gives hope to anyone who transgressed to return to Allah in order to live a pure life. 5
