They sought out those who knew him best, questioned them and sat with them. Join us in learning how they yearned for him, and discover the great status of those who yearn and long for him until today. 6. The Prophetic Model as the Key to Balance Synopsis: Modern life is busy to the point of being overwhelming. How can we live lives that are fulfilling and responsible while racing to achieve the pleasure of Allah? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was the most balanced human being and the best of Allah s creation. He also faced challenges great and small ranging from oppression and military conflicts to mundane communal and personal relationships. The Greatest Companion (Prayer and peace be upon him) Synopsis: Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He is anxious over you, for the believers he is full of pity, kind, and merciful. How empowering was the companionship of Allah s Messenger (prayer and peace be upon him) to the companions and the general population around him? How his relationship with them was found on love, mercy and absolute respect? How his love and care for them could transform their hearts and empower them to carry his legacy? 15. Calling to Allah in Community: O Messenger! Proclaim that which has been sent to you from Your Lord and if you don t, then you have not conveyed His Message, And Allah will protect you from mankind. Synopsis: The mission of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was to call humanity to their Lord. What does it mean to call people to Allah? How did he fulfill this mission, enlightening and transforming the world, in just 23 blessed years? When we observe the Messenger, we learn what it means to call to Allah. When we observe the community that he created, we learn that even during his lifetime, his blessed Companions played an essential role in conveying and upholding his message. In this session, we study together the transformative sunna of creating a community that calls to Allah as a whole. 16. Arabic Calligraphy & Art: Synopsis: How can the Art of calligraphy be at the service of the Prophetic Legacy? Talented brothers and sisters from the community will share with us some amazing aspects of art that can serve to increase our love and appreciation for the Prophet, his family and his companions 17. The Prophet (prayer and peace be upon him) as a community leader Synopsis: The one with the highest status in the eyes of the Messenger of Allah was the one who considered, comforted and helped the creation the most. The Prophetic community was a community of love, brotherhood and solidarity. The Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, sought out the most needy and ensured that their needs were fulfilled. His all-enveloping love for his Ummah was the driving force behind the creation of a community of service and care. In this session we seek inspiration from this love to carry on the Prophetic mission of service and fulfilling needs. 18.
