Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem What Leads People to Sin? Introduction: Almighty God warns all Muslims and all those others 1 who sincerely believe only in Almighty God, to continue their belief and obedience to Almighty God and not to follow the inspirations of the devil, as the devil is the archenemy to Almighty God. All those who are compliant with instructions of Almighty God will be given to enjoy in their life after death in Heaven, according to His set tariff. Whereas, all those who choose to be non-compliant with instructions of Almighty God, will be sentenced in their life after death to Hell, according to His set tariff. Appropriate references have been made contextually to the paragraphs below. The devil inspires people to sin. Discussion on What Leads People to Sin: 1) Almighty God has aptly embedded early warning systems throughout the Holy Qur an and one of the early conspicuous ones is at HQ2:208 O you who believe, enter into complete peace and do not follow the footsteps of the devil. Surely he is your open enemy. 2) It is absolutely imperative for all Muslims and all those others who sincerely believe only in Almighty God, to be mindful at every moment throughout their lives, that the sole purpose of the inspirations of the devil, is leading all of humanity into countlessly different classifications of sinning: simply to spite Almighty God and to challenge Almighty God. The devil is most schematic. 3) It is necessary to roll back history to pre-creation of humanity. Iblis (the devil) 2 was also part of the Divine Office of Almighty God, prior to the creation and completion of our universe and its planetary systems. After Almighty God completed His creation of our universe 13.8 billion years ago, and later His immaculate completion of Earth, 4.9 billion years ago, He made Earth having ambient facilitations for creation and survival of all forms of life 3. Almighty God then created Prophet Adam (as) from black 1 They are also called People of the Book. Some of the past communities of previous civilisations led by Prophets and referred to as People of the Book were: Jews, Christians, Sabeans and Muslims; their revealed Books are Torah, Injeel, Zabur and Holy Qur an in that respective order (Authority: HQ2:62, HQ5:69 and HQ22:17). Whilst it is acknowledged that there were others out of 124,000 prophets before Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), however they have not been listed. 2 The devil is a jinn, known in various communities by different names, such as Devil, Lucifer, Satan, Iblis, Shaitan, etc. 3 Science educates that the universe is 13.8 billion years old whereas the Earth is 4.9 billion years old. Earth was formed by accretion from the solar nebula, with endless volcanic outgassing, which further in turn led to formation of landmass, ozone gas, superheated steam, formation of clouds, consequentially the formation of rain and rivers, which then ran off and formed into salt water oceans. The Holy Qur an states that the formation
sounding clay as the first human. Prophet Adam (as) was the esteemed pioneer of humanity. 4) Almighty God then taught Prophet Adam (as) the names of all 124,000 Prophets 4, who were yet to be created and were to be rolled out to serve humanity on Earth. Upon being tested, Prophet Adam (as) most successfully recited all 124,000 prophetical names. He passed that test. 5) Thereafter, Almighty God ordered all His angels as His servants to make obeisance to Prophet Adam (as). All His angels as servants obeyed exactly so, except the devil (Iblis), who although was not an angel but as a jinn; and he as the devil disobeyed Almighty God outright. The devil drew his boastful comparatives that all angels who had already made obeisance, were made of spiritual light, whereas he (the devil, as jinn and not angel) was made of a flame of fire and Prophet Adam (as) was made of black sounding clay. 6) Immediately thereupon Almighty God dismissed the devil from His status of dependable assistants and out of His Divine Office. 7) The devil reacted immediately and asked for respite and then he openly challenged Almighty God that he as the devil, will forever become a barrier between Almighty God and all of His humanity. The devil further challenged Almighty God that he as the devil, will forever mislead humanity astray, by committing them to sinning. At that point, Almighty God accepted the devil s unconditional open challenge and Almighty God spontaneously established His two outcomes: by (1) facilitating Heaven 5 of Earth took six periods, before creation of man as Adam. The six periods were not 24-hour human days, but six periods of time, prescribed by Almighty God as sufficient for Him and includes in His following up His laws of creation. 4 What constitutes 124,000 Prophets? From names of Prophet Adam (as) to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), a total of 124,000 Prophets (Nabi) were ordained by Divine revelations, but directly delivered to them by the stewardship of Archangel Gabriel, as spiritually contracted servants. Out of 124,000 Prophets, only 313 are Messengers (Rasul). Out of 313 Messengers, only 25 have been mentioned by name in the Holy Qur an as past case studies. Note: that every Messenger (Rasul) is also a Prophet, but every Prophet (Nabi) is not a Messenger. All of these 124,000 prophets were regular human beings who must eat food, drink water, breath air and need atmospheric pressure to stay alive. The figure of 124,000 prophets is quoted by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal in his Musnad No Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the Last and Final Prophet and after his death in 632AD, that sealed off all prophets of any description whatsoever being ordained by Divine revelations, to serve humanity on earth. This is stated in the Holy Qur an at HQ33:40 Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the prophets. And Allah is ever Knower of all things. Seal means total shutting off arrival of any prophet of whatsoever description: No new prophet and no re-entry of any of the past 124,000 prophets will eventuate. 5 Heaven has seven levels. The Holy Qur an states that Heaven is a guarded canopy at HQ21:32 And We have made the heaven a guarded canopy; yet they turn away from its signs. This was witnessed by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during his Miraj in the year 621AD. The Holy Qur an also implies seven levels of Heaven at HQ23:86-87 Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne of power? They will say: (This is) Allah s. Say: Will you not then guard against evil? The joys of Heaven have been described in the Holy Qur an as a place of bliss at HQ56:12-27 In Gardens of bliss. A multitude from among the first, and a few from among those of later times, on thrones well-woven, reclining on them, facing each other. Round about them
to reward those obedient to Him in full compliance and (2) Hell 6 to reprimand those disobedient to Him and as non-compliant. 8) This historical event, which commenced with Prophet Adam (as) must be remembered by all as the root cause of sinning by people within humanity, and will affect all peoples until the great Day of Judgement. 7 9) The Holy Qur an has recorded them all at HQ7:11-25 And We 8 indeed created you, then We fashioned you, then We said to the angels: Be submissive to Adam. So they submitted, but not Iblīs; he was not of those who submitted. We said: What hindered you from submitting when I commanded you? He said: I am better than he; You have created me of fire, while him You did create of dust. We said: Then get forth from this (state), for it is not for you to behave proudly in it. Go forth, therefore, surely you are a degraded one. He said: Grant me respite till the day when they are raised. We said: Surely you are granted respite. He said: As You have judged me to be in error, I will certainly lie in wait for them in Your straight path, then I shall certainly come upon them from in front of them and from behind them, and from their right and from their left; and You will not find most of them thankful. We said: Get out of it, despised, driven away. Whoever of them will follow you, I will certainly fill hell with you all. And (We said): O Adam, dwell you and your wife in the garden, and eat from wherever you wish, but do not go near this tree or you would be from will go youths never altering in age, with goblets and ewers, and a cup of pure drink they are not affected with headache by it, nor are they intoxicated, and fruits that they choose, and flesh of fowl that they desire, and pure, beautiful ones, like hidden pearls. A reward for what they did. They hear therein no idle or sinful talk but only the saying, Peace! Peace! And those on the right hand; how (happy) are those on the right hand! 6 Hell has seven levels and each level has its gate. This is stated in the Holy Qur an at HQ15:43-44 And surely hell is the promised place for them all it has seven gates. For each gate is an appointed portion of them. In addition, Hell has 19 wardens guarding those gates and this is stated in the Holy Qur an at HQ74:30-31 Over it are nineteen. And We have made none but angels (to be) wardens of the Fire, and We have made their number only as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the Book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the Book and the believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus Allah leaves in error whom He pleases, and guides whom He pleases. And none knows the forces of your Lord but He. And this is nothing but a Reminder to mortals. Further in Holy Qur an, it is stated at HQ40:76 that the Command will come as Enter the gates of hell to abide in it; and evil is the abode of the proud. In addition, the Holy Qur an warns of the reprimand in Hell at HQ4:56 Those who disbelieve in Our Messages, We shall make them enter Fire. As often as their skins are burned, We shall change them for other skins, that they may taste the punishment. Surely Allah is ever Mighty, Wise. 7 This aspect is the most important difference between humanity and animals. Humanity has been given the blessed power of discretion to personally determine right from wrong. Animals do not have that power of discretion but behave according to animal instincts and any training given to them. In addition, humans have the ability to have self-respect, which is ability to see oneself outside of one s body and the realization that there is an impending end of life and one s accountability on great Day of Judgement. 8 For clarity We is royal plural indicating Almighty God, as King of His Kingdom.
among the unjust. But the devil made an evil suggestion to them that he might make manifest to them their shame that had been hidden from them, and he said: Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree that you may not become angels or become immortals. And he swore to them both: Surely I am a sincere adviser to you thus he caused them to fall by deceit. So when they had tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden. And their Lord called to them: Did I not forbid you that tree, and say to you that the devil is surely your open enemy? They said: Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves; and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be from among the losers. We said: Go forth some of you are enemies of others. And there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time. We said: In it shall you live, and in it shall you die, and from it shall you be raised. 9 10) Spontaneous obedience to Almighty God without doubting or questioning the Orders of Almighty God is the expected discipline of all angels. This discipline is regardless of whatsoever constituent material the angels may be presented as. The Holy Qur an records descriptions of angels in several ways. In some narrations, angels are made of spiritual light. Whereas in some other narrations, angels appeared as temporary visible images. Yet in some other narrations, angels, appeared as wellmade men and they were visible only to those whom Almighty God had selected them to be seen. The devil on the other contrast was made of a flame of fire, as jinn, which induced excessive pride in him and consequently the devil felt most highly elevated and superior angels and humanity. 9 Notwithstanding this verse at HQ7:11-25, there are comprehensive variations in the Holy Qur an, depending on the circumstances of narration as each case study. This is given in the Holy Qur an at HQ15:26-44 And surely We created man of sounding clay, of black mud fashioned into shape. And the jinn, We created before of intensely hot fire. And when your Lord said to the angels: I am going to create a mortal of sounding clay, of black mud fashioned into shape. So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making submission to him. So the angels submitted, all of them together but not Iblīs. He refused to be with those who submitted. We said: O Iblīs, what is the reason that you are not with those who submit? He said: I am not going to submit to a mortal, whom You have created of sounding clay, of black mud fashioned into shape. We said: Then go forth, for surely you are driven away, and surely on you is a curse till the Day of Judgment. He said: My Lord, grant me respite till the day when they are raised. We said: Surely you are granted respite, till the day of the time made known. He said: My Lord, as You have judged me to be in error, I shall certainly make (evil) seem good to them on earth, and I shall cause them all to deviate, except Your servants from among them, the purified ones. We said: This is a right way with Me. As regards My servants, you have no authority over them except such of the deviators as follow you. And surely hell is the promised place for them all it has seven gates. For each gate is an appointed portion of them. In both of these readings the most point is that Almighty God has allowed the devil his deceitfulness as long as humanity exists; but the punishment for the devil has been postponed to Hell together with all his followership peoples till the great Day of Judgement.
11) The fundamental fact remains that before Almighty God created our universe and Earth, the angels and the devil (jinn) were already in existence in His Divine Office. 10 As protective measures to counter the deliberate misleading of humanity, Almighty God sent around 124,000 Prophets to all the main continents of the world. The prerogative of listening to the helpful messages of the Prophets and not getting misled into sinning by the devil resides with every single human being, born into this world. The choice is entirely theirs: Final journey to Hell as reprimand or final journey to Heaven and living forever in bliss - after material death of human bodies! 12) The Holy Qur an has several incidences quoted throughout is texts of 114 Chapters and all such incidences are intentionally case studies, for humanity to learn and adjust their personal behaviour to be compliant with the word of Almighty God. It must be acknowledged by all that Almighty God has continuously reminded humanity in all of those different communities languages, to heed to His messages of life after death, as given in His revealed scriptures and in particular throughout the Holy Qur an. Such an example is quoted in the Holy Qur an at HQ7:27 O children of Adam, do not let the devil seduce you, as he expelled your parents from the garden, pulling off from them both their clothing that he might show them their shame. He surely sees you, he as well as his company, from where you do not see them. Surely We have made the devils to be the friends of those who do not believe. 13) On the contrary, wider humanity must understand that there is no compulsion in religion. However, common sense dictates that they must prepare themselves with sage advices given in various revealed scriptures. For example, the Holy Qur an clarified to humanity in no uncertain terms at HQ2: There is no compulsion in religion the right way is indeed clearly distinct from error. So whoever disbelieves in the devil and believes in Allah, he indeed lays hold on the firmest handle which shall never break. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. Allah is the Friend of those who believe He brings them out of darkness into light. And those who disbelieve, their friends are the devils who take them out of light into darkness. They are the companions of the Fire; in it they abide. 14) The Holy Qur an in its absolute magnificence has given a brief yet very concise preview of what will happen on the great Day of Judgement, 10 Scientific study of various human fossils conclude that humanity was created bordering around 200,000 years ago. That means that the devil disobeyed Almighty God and was dismissed by Almighty God. Then the devil asked for respite and was given respite and the devil has been deliberately and wilfully misleading humanity into sinning for at least 200,000 years. This period could be longer than 200,000 years, depending on accuracy of scientific conclusions.
when all people will face Almighty God. That is when the decision shall be made upon those who were fully compliant with Almighty God and all those who chose to be non-compliant and heeded to the inspirations of the devil ) It is for all correct thinking Muslims to guide and assist other Muslims; the Holy Qur an has sanctioned that correct advice shall be given to those who need to be guided. This is given in the Holy Qur an at HQ3:104, as And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin the right and forbid the wrong. And these are they who are successful. Conclusions on What Leads People to Sin: a) The devil (Iblis), as the archenemy of Almighty God is forever inspiring and misleading humanity to both disobey Almighty God and all their daily functions in non-compliance to all instructions from Almighty God. b) Those inspirations to mislead humanity is open challenge by the devil to Almighty God and which Almighty God had accepted. c) All those who are compliant with instructions of Almighty God will be given to enjoy in their life after death in Heaven, according to His set tariffs. Whereas, all those who choose to be non-compliant with instructions of Almighty God, will be sentenced in their life after death to Hell, according to His set tariffs. d) The devil inspires people to sin and is most cunningly schematic into his forms. e) The choice of compliance to Almighty God or becoming enslaved to being misled by the devil resides with each and every member of humanity. -End of Document- Fiji 11 During the course of the Judgement, each person will be summonsed to read one s own book. There is another very concise decree in the Holy Qur an, which everybody must be aware of at all times; these are stated in two readings, contrasting Heaven and Hell respectively, at HQ69:18-24 On that day you will be exposed to view no secret of yours will remain hidden. Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Here, read my book. Surely I knew that I should meet my account. So he will be in a life of bliss, in a lofty Garden, its fruits are near. Eat and drink pleasantly for what you sent on ahead in bygone days. HQ69:25-37 And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he will say: If only my book had not been given to me! And I had not known what my account was! If only (death) had made an end (of me)! My wealth has not availed me. My authority has gone from me. Seize him, then fetter him, then cast him into the burning Fire, then insert him in a chain seventy lengths long. Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great, nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. Therefore he does not have here this day a true friend, nor any food except filth, which none but the wrongdoers eat.
