1 Phone No: Fax No: Government of Jammu and 'Kashmir Office of the Financial Commissioner, (Revenue) J&K Revenue Complex, Tankipora, Srinagar, Subject: - Promotion of fully qualified Girdawars. o R D E R NO: Fe (A) '"t}of D ATE D: c< Whereas the issue of promotion of fully qualified Girdawars was put up before the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee under the Chairmanship of Financial Commissioner (Revenue) on ; Whereas the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee considered the proposal and approved the promotion of 91 fully qualified GQs to the post of Naib Tehsildars; Whereas the State level Departmental Promotion Committee also approved promotion of 9 GQs working in Settlement Organization; Whereas the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee decided that the promotion of such fully qualified GQs should be kept in a sealed cover, against whom there is any vigilance case or Departmental inquiry going on. However, their seniority shall be maintained and confirmation orders issued once they are cleared by the competent authority; Whereas the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee also decided to promote all those retired Girdiwars who were falling in the consideration and had been working zone as Looking After Naib Tehsildars. They are to be given monetary benefits ahead of one month before the date of retirement availability of post to enable them to have pensionery benefits. subject to Whereas the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee decided to frame a Sub Committee under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (Central) with two members viz Assistant Commissioner (Central) with L~ a\" 1

The committee will consider the representations of officers who are requesting for retrospective effect of promotion as they were eligible for promotion as Naib Tehsildars earlier but could not be confirmed due to delay in convening of State Level Departmental Promotion Committee meeting. The designated committee will also look into other grievances, relating to promotion (if any) of the officers. Subsequently, the Sub-Committee will submit its report with recommendations to Chairman State Level Departmental Promotion Committee (Financial Commissioner, Revenue) for taking final decision; Whereas the minutes of the State Level Departmental Committee have been signed and stand issued by office of Financial Commissioner, Revenue. Now, therefore, with the approval of the State Level Departmental Promotion Committee, fully qualified Girdawars as detailed in the Annexure "C" to this order are promoted w.e.f. to the post of Naib Tehsildars in the pay scale of Rs. 9,300-34,800 + grade pay of Rs. 4,280/- (Revised), except those in sealed cover.
