Huzoor's Message for the National Ijtima Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his helper) graciously sent a message for the National Ijtima of Majlis Ansarullah, USA that was held on October 10-12, The message is reproduced in the following for the benefit of the readers. Huzoor's Message: O ye Green Saplings of the Promised Messiah: As-Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Majlis Ansarullah has an important role to play in the progress of the Jama at and in the upbringing of our coming generations. If Ansar understand their responsibilities and try their best to discharge these responsibilities, we can rest assured that our future generations will remain firmly attached to the Jama at and continue to grow in sincerity and devotion. If we tread on the path of Taqwa (righteousness) and fulfill our duty of attaching our future generations to the Jama at, then our future and the future of our children will be secured. When undertaking the Bai at every Ahmadi promises to advance in Taqwa and to acquire the higher moral values. We also pledge to shun falsehood, hostility, transgression, dishonesty, mischief, and rebellion. We should invoke peace and blessings of Allah on the Holy Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and remain faithful to Allah in times of trial and prosperity. We should follow God s commandments, shun pride and arrogance, show meekness and exhibit high morals and have sympathy for mankind. The Promised Messiah (may peace be on him) says, Prayer is your weapon and we must hold on to it. The only means of getting rid of sin and transgression is through prayers. People of my Jama at should spend their nights crying and supplicating before their Lord. These are the values that lead to spiritual progress. It is the responsibility of Ansar to progress in righteousness so that they can set a good example for their children. The task of Da wat Ilallah (inviting to the way of Allah) cannot be accomplished without prayers. It is also essential to recite the Holy Qur an daily and learn its teachings. Teach the Holy Qur an to your children and get them

5 into the habit of reciting it daily. May Allah enable us all to live by our pledges. Ameen. Our success lies in holding fast to the rope of Allah and ensuring that we and all our children adhere to the institution of Khilafat and to absolute obedience to it and the Nizam-i-Jama at. If we and our children remain attached to Khilafat, we will witness the bounties of Allah conferred upon true believers.
