He was the king of Israelites during the early life of Dawood (A.S) 2. What was Jaloot? He was the enemy of Taloot and his people. He was an evil warrior. 3. Who was Dawood? He was a Messenger of Allah and a King who was given the divine Book, Az- Zaboor. 4. How many brothers did Prophet Dawood have? He had 12 brothers. 5. Where was Prophet Dawood born? He was born in Bethlehem in Palestine. 6. What were some of Prophet Dawood s well-known characteristics? He was very brave and had the most beautiful voice in the world. 7. What was Taloot s response to Dawood when approached saying he wanted to meet the challenge of killing Jaloot? He told him that he was too young and no match to Jaloot. 8. How old was Dawood when he was first ambitious to fight? He was 16 years old when he expressed his first ambition to fight the evil Jaloot. 9. How did Prophet Dawood used to fast? He used to fast one whole day and break it the other day. He kept fast on alternate days. 10. How was Dawood s prayer done? He used to sleep half the night and stood for prayer for the third of it and then slept the sixth part of it.

2 11. What was the Zaboor a collection of? It was a collection of devotional prayers and beautiful hymns and praises of Allah. 12. What were the rewards that Taloot was giving out to whoever killed Jaloot? Taloot announced that whoever kills Jaloot, will be rewarded by making him heir in his kingdom and also let him marry his daughter. 2. Answer concerning the Related Text: 1. Write the translation of the hadeeth that describes how the strong believer is better than the weak one. A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan. 2. Write the translation of the hadeeth that describes how Prophet Dawood used to pray and fast. With Allah the best fasting is that of Dawood and the best prayer is that of Dawood (peace be upon him) for he slept half of the night and stood for prayer for the third of it and (then) slept the sixth part of it and he observed fast one day and broke on the other. 3. Write the translation of the hadeeth that encourages Muslims to recite the Qur an with a nice voice. Beautify the Qur an with your nice recitation, for the good voice makes the Qur an more beautiful. 3. Highlight the correct option: 1. Write the translation of the ayah that speaks about Prophet Sulayman s wisdom and sound judgement: And We made Sulayman understand of the complex matters. And to each of them We gave judgements and knowledge. 2. Write the translation of the ayah that mentions both Prophets Dawood and Sulayman in regards to their wisdom: And indeed We gave knowledge to Dawood and to Sulayman. And they both said: All praises and thanks be to Allah Who has chosen us above many of His believing servants.

Interpret the hadeeth in Sahih al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurayrah in regards to the two women with the babies, how Prophet Sulayman resolved the issue by telling the women to half the baby. What can be learned from this hadeeth? No mother would like to harm her baby and Prophet Sulayman knew that and he knew that it will help him to know who the real mother of the baby is. When Prophet Sulayman called for a knife so that the baby can be cut into halves, the real mother get worried. She didn t want the baby to be kept, so let the other woman keep the baby. From this Sulayman A.S concluded that she was the real mother and he gave the baby to her. 4. Highlight the correct answer: 1.
