6 ك )كاف( K) Kāf ( مخرج الحرف )ك( One of the Velar letters (Al-Huruf Al-Lahawiyah). The sound comes when the dead end of the tongue (i.e. deepest part of the tongue) touches the portion of the hard palate at a slight distance to the portion for letter Qaf. Key Notes: 1. The most suitable method for familiarizing the correct Makhraj, the place of origin, of a letter is to keep it Sakin (quiescent) and add before it (Alif maftuh) Alif having fathah. All the alphabet letters are kept in Sakin أ ك (quiescent) for this purpose. E.g. ك الكاف )ك( - من الحروف الل ه ات ي ة التي تخرج من أقصى اللسان مع الحنك اللحمي و العظمي معا )المنطقة القاسية( تحت مخرج القاف قليل 6
