M A R C H To attain God one should have the grace of God. Now, the question is how to get the grace of God? When a person truthfully seeks God, and wants liberation, the almighty comes to him in the form of Guru. The Guru takes him into his fold and guides in the right direction. There are so many paths shown by our Scirptures to attain the Highest Truth. All the paths are great indeed. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa says " Innumerable are the ways that lead to God. You must stick to your path with all your strength. A man can reach the roof of a house by stone stairs, a rope ladder, a rope or even by a bamboo pole. But he can't reach the roof if he sets foot now on one and now on another" The path selected should be simple and at the same time should take us to realise the Highest Truth. It should be relevant in today's context. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa further says" The best path for this age is Bhaktiyoga, the path of Bhakthi prescribed by Narada: to sing the name and glories of the God. A man's life depends entirely on food. Secondly he has a short span of life. Third he can by no means get rid of body consciousness, and the knowledge of Brahman is impossible without the destruction of body consciousness. Therefore Bhakthiyoga is prescribed for this age. By following this path one comes to God more easily than by following others. One can undoubtedly reach God by following other paths, but they are difficult paths. When you chant His Name with single minded devotion, you can see God's form and realise Him. Suppose there is a piece of timber sunk in the water of the Ganges and fastened with a chain to the bank. You proceed link by link, holding to the chain, and you dive into the water and follow the chain. Finally you are able to reach the timber. In the same way by repeating God's name you become absorbed in Him and finally realise Him". So, to get the Grace of the Lord, keep chanting His Name, sing and listen to His glories. To a devotee's question - Can we attain the state of Jeeva Mukthi, just by Chanting a single Name of God continuously? Sri Swamiji answers Yes, Yes and Yes. Most certainly Yes. Don't even have an inkling of doubt on this. Chanting the Name of the God is the easiest and surest path for liberation 1

5 Yuva Kendra News How are you scoring? Children, we are very pleased to know that you have all started writing Rama Nama with great enthusiasm. Sri Swamiji will be really happy to hear this. Keep up the good work!! Please pass the message around and encourage your friends to start writing Rama Nama. Children, shall we see what Mahatma Gandhiji says about Rama Nama MY SAVIOUR Though my reason and heart long ago realized the highest attribute and name of God as Truth, I recognize Truth by the name of Rama. In the darkest hour of my trial, that one name has saved me and is still saving me. It may be the association of childhood, it may be the fascination that Tulsidas has wrought on me. But the potent fact is there, and as I write these lines, my memory revives the scenes of my childhood, when I used daily to visit the Ramji Mandir adjacent to my ancestral home. My Rama then resided there. He saved me from many fears and sins. It was no superstition for me. When a child, my nurse taught me to repeat Ramanama whenever I felt afraid or miserable, and it has been second nature with me with growing knowledge and advancing years. I may even say that the Word is in my heart, if not actually on my lips, all the twenty-four hours. It has been by saviour and I am ever stayed on it. HANUMAN a poem by Namdev Sekar Hanuman is humble, intelligent and strong Anjaneya is always serving Rama and Sugriv Never ever he does anything wrong Up in the sky he learnt all Vedas and gained his knowledge Maruti always Meditates on Rama and chants his name Anjana s son is fearless and has Rama in his heart at all times Never he fails to bless who worships Rama 5
