2 Gram Swaraj Abhiyan Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi has launched many pro-poor welfare schemes for the comprehensive development of this nation. Many programs have been undertaken in this direction. The people of India are witnessing the benefits of these schemes. The living standards of people, especially of poor, have significantly increased. Government of India has launched an innovative and large scale nation-wide campaign on pro-poor welfare schemes so as to take these schemes much closer to the millions of poor people. This has been titled as Gram Swaraj Abhiyan With larger intent and wishing greater good to the people of this nation, the Central government has decided to initiate Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on the eve of Constitutional expert Dr B R Ambedkar's Jayanti on April 14th through a series of programs driven by innovative campaigning streams until May 5th. Further, on the instructions from BJP National President Shri. Amit Shah, party leaders and volunteers have participated with great enthusiasm. Even in Telangana, the prestigious Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was successfully undertaken. In the state of Telangana, the prestigious Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was driven with a deep commitment under the leadership of BJP State President, Shri. Dr K Laxman. He was joined by Bandaru Dattatreya (former Union Minister and Secunderabad MP), Kishan Reddy (BJLP Floor leader), Ramachander Rao (MLC), Chintala Ramachandra Reddy (Khairatabad MLA) and various National and State Office Bearers. Party representatives from Parliamentary to Polling Booth level have also participated. BJP Telangana unit has received an overwhelming response from the people of Telangana state. The people have expressed extreme satisfaction over the benefits from pro-poor welfare schemes of Modi government.
