Prabhu Vasava, Bardoli constituency in presence of Shri L. K. Jain (Site Director, Kakrapar Gujarat Site), Dr. Ashish Upadhyay (President, Mandvi, Nagarpalika), Shri. Bharat Shah, (Socialite, President), Shri Vijay Kaniya (Secretary), Manav Seva Trust, Surat, Divya Jyoti Trust, Mandvi. Other dignitaries present for the function were Shri. J. C. Chavan, Taluka Health Officer, Mandvi, Shri. V. K Jain (Station Director, KAPS 1&2), Shri. Vineet Kumar (Station Director, KAPP-3&4), Shri. M. V. Parikh (Chairman CSR), Dr. Jyoti Purandare, MOIC, KAPS Hospital doctors of Tejas Eye hospital, Officers of KAPS and dignitaries from Mandvi area. A financial assistance of 73,10,000 is provided to set up this unit. This unit has started providing services to poor and needy patients in this area. In speeches, MP, Bardoli Shri & Shri Bharat Shah appreciated the vision and efforts of Kakarapar Gujarat site for providing such kind of medical facilities for poor and needy patients in this area. They said KAPS is playing very important role in development of infrastructural facilities in the area of Mandvi (Dist. Surat) and Vyara (Dist. Tapi). This Anumathak Glaucoma unit is State of the art, first of its kind unit in South Gujarat. With this facility, this hospital will be positioned among top 5 eye hospitals in Gujarat

(અણ મથક ગ લ ક મ ય ન ટ) These projects are providing quality health care services at very affordable rates in rural, tribal & remote areas. Maximum population in this area belongs to Schedule Cast, Schedule Tribe & OBC. People in this area are of low socio-economic status, low educational status with average educational, medical and other infrastructure facilities. Local media appreciated the efforts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Kakarapar Gujarat site as a boon to people in this area and appealed people to take advantage of these facilities.
