We worship You because it gives us joy to give You thanks and praise. *Hymn 267 Come, Christians Join to Sing Madrid Call to Confession David Capasso Prayer of Confession Faithful God, persistent parent, you weave so many wonderful people into our lives: fathers and mothers, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors, teachers and preachers. Their gifts and their lives bless us each step of the way. Yet we take more than we give. We are slow to speak words of thanks and slower to care for others as we have been cared for. Unbind our lives today as we remember the faithful women who love us and who weep over our sins even more than we do. (time for silent confession) Faithful God, give us eyes to see the miracles around us and hearts to create miracles for others. Remake us so that, one day voices will have cause to sing our praises too. In the name of the great healer we ask this. Amen.

Announcing the 7 th Annual Bite The Tail Off Homelessness Charity Crawfish Boil Benefitting Program of Hope Homeless Ministry Lakeview Presbyterian Church 5914 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, La Saturday, May 14 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM This annual event held each year at Lakeview Presbyterian church helps to support the mission work of Program of Hope homeless ministry located at First Presbyterian Church on Claiborne Avenue and promises to be a day filled with food, music and fun! Each week, Program of Hope serves both the spiritual and physical needs of between homeless men, women, and children in a welcoming and nurturing environment. Funding shelter nights and help providing public transportation are two of the many services that are offered at Program of Hope and to which we have dedicated the funds of this annual event. Our goal this year, is the same as in years past, to receive enough donations/sponsors to cover the cost of the event so that all proceeds for ticket sales go directly to purchasing vouchers. Your continued support and participation is vital to make this event a success and makes a meaningful impact on this vital mission and shares the love of Christ to the lives of the homeless community that it serves. 7 Prayer List Please keep this list with you this week and pray for... Joyous Prayers for: Candice and Kenny Bellau are expecting their little bundle of joy in August. Kelly and Enjoli Mallary are expecting their little bundle of joy this fall. Healing Prayers for: Debbie Vetrick Ron Sutto s daughter is slowly recovering from pneumonia and surgery in a hospital in Houston. Enjoli Mallary s mom recently feel ill, she is on regular oxygen instead of a breathing machine now. Johnny Ziffle lost both legs due to diabetics. He is in a nursing home in Shreveport, La. He is the brother of Linda Wilson. Bruce Robertson continued healing after sinus surgery. Mary McLachlan May Ball s sister has cancer in her left lung as well as other places in her body. Keep in your prayers for God s healing. Nancy Mann Carolyn Graetz s cousin, she had surgery for ovarian cancer. Kelly Ambrose Bruce Robertson cousin has been diagnosed with malignant brain tumor. Kelly is 58 years old. Flo Shanks has dislocated her hip and is having seizures issues. She is a friend of Amanda Bennett. May Ball prayers for her continued healing. Don Robertson brother of Bruce Robertson has COPD is having increasing difficulty breathing, and has almost no strength or stamina left. Marley Harris - she is 10 years old, the daughter of Amanda s Humana coach, Naoshia Carroll. Marley was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and is at St Jude's Children's hospital in Memphis. Arthur and Etta Myers Arthur had surgery from cancer and will now have to undergo more chemotherapy. His wife Etta is suffering from health issues and being the caregiver for her husband. Our Homebound members and friends. Please visit them and remember them in Prayer.
