Japan Wed 2 Thank the Father for FEBC Japan s programs that are distributed by MP3 discs for sale; demand is high because the program content is good quality. Thu 3 The literacy rate in Japan is said to be close to 100% of the population. Pray that God will convey His message through FEBC s radio broadcasts in a way that appeals to these educated people of Japan. NOVEMBER 2016 Tue 1 For those unable to listen to radio programs, literature and CDs are provided. Ask the Lord to bless these extra resources in the eyes and ears of the receivers. Fri 4 Please pray for the people of Japan, especially those in the south impacted by the deadly April earthquakes. Pray that this disaster has opened their hearts to seek a Higher Power and purpose for their lives and that they will tune in to our broadcasts and discover the truth of Jesus. Sat 5 I have been away from my church for more than a year now due to hurt feelings by another member. But ever since I started listening to your programs, my faith in Christ has been rejuvenated and I ve decided to go back to church. Thank you very much for your wonderful ministry! Sun 6 WEEKLY SUMMARY: The Internet is proving to be an incredible resource for reaching people with the Good News. According to official statistics released in mid-2015, the population of mobile Internet users in China is million people, nearly half the population. Therefore, FEBC China is developing mobile apps as part of its new strategy. Pray for the team, as more apps are being scheduled to cater for different target groups. Praise God for listeners who tune into FEBC s programs online. Mon 7 This year, FEBC China launched the second of its phone apps series called Listen Care, following the 2015 launch of Listen Hand in Hand, which reached out to non-believers. Pray that these apps will reach its target. China Tue 8 In Yunnan, China, a micro-sd card with over 50 hours of radio programs in the Yunnan dialect is now being produced and duplicated for distribution among the ethnic minorities in the area. Ask God to water the seed that FEBC plants! Wed 9 Persecution against Christians is on the 2 rise in China. FEBC has produced a number of our Chinese programs from our Hong Kong studios since 1958, but recently have had to curtail production within China due to security issues. Please pray that God will provide wisdom to our leaders and staff actively involved in our China Ministry Office.

Thu 10 In spite of persecution through the years, one recent source conservatively estimated 163 million Christians in China. God is on the move! Fri 11 Our Chinese team thanks God for bringing talented programmers to help create the daily broadcast that can reach 26 ethnic groups of people in the southwest region of China. Sat 12 Control over the media and Internet is at an all-time high in Mainland China. As a result, it is more and more challenging to broadcast Gospel programs within the country. Please pray for our teams, that our broadcasters will continue to find ways to share the Good News with listeners in China. India Sun 13 WEEKLY SUMMARY: As the second most populated country in the world with 1.3 billion people, 1,652 languages and dialects, 29 states and 7 union territories, the vast expanse of India holds an eclectic and fascinating cultural milieu. Hinduism is widely practiced by the majority (80%), and Christianity makes up only 3% of the population the need for the Good News in India is monumental. FEBA s broadcasts have blessed millions over the years, and there has been a steady growth of believers in India. Mon 14 FEBA India s programs are specially designed to suit our audience in their own culture and environment. Each letter, phone call, and text Tue 15 In the Rajasthan region of India, speaker boxes are being distributed to the Hadothi-speaking people. A couple of months ago, our Indian team visited 7 remote villages, delivering 21 speaker boxes that contained Bible dramas in the mother tongue of the people living there. Thank the Lord for this opportunity! Wed 16 With a dominant Hindu culture, Indians place a large focus on pleasing their estimated 330 million gods. This leads to high rates of suicide and depression and a never-ending cycle of poverty and hopelessness. Pray that FEBA s programs can put an end to this tragic cycle. Thu 17 For the small number of Christians in India, persecution is real. A region that is closely monitored by human rights groups, India has had several cases of religious persecution in recent times. In spite of persecution against Christians, a significant number of people are turning to Christ, especially in the north. Pray for them! Fri million Indians can hear the gospel through radio programs in 11 Indian languages, including English, through shortwave and medium wave broadcasts. Praise God that so many people can hear the biblical values of love, saving faith and eternal hope! message is responded to personally. Praise God for FEBA s uniqueness in presenting the gospel in a relevant way to the people Sat 19 As a strategic focus, FEBA aims to strengthen the lives of individuals and families in the community and assist the community through social action, such as education, justice, healthcare and disaster relief, as well as spiritual and economic development. Pray that these aims will be reached. Indonesia Sun 20 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country, with about 87% of its population following that faith. Our station received the troubling news that, in order to stay on the air, we must increase our Muslim content and reduce the Christian content, thus catering for the majority of listeners. But we re keeping the faith, strategically planning how we can still demonstrate the love 3

and one main language from the Philippines. Pray that the Word will also reach the minorities in remote places. Wed 23 Christian broadcasts can only be aired between 7:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. At other times, we offer call-in counselling programs, music, health and hygiene advice, employment information, marriage/ family advice, etc. Pray that God s gentle voice will be audible in every program. of Jesus through our radio programs and tangible outreach. Please pray for wisdom and guidance for FEBC Indonesia! Mon 21 Our team in Indonesia not only broadcasts on 7 FM stations daily, but also produces ethnic programs for 9 minority groups. One of them is the Sasak people, an ethnic group of 3.6 million. Praise God for the many conversions over the years, as a result of tuning in to FEBC and the support of small, local churches. Tue 22 Radio remains vital in penetrating the lonely cities and remote regions where isolated people live without hearing the Good News. FEBC Indonesia produces programs in nine minority languages Thu 24 Thank the Lord for Heartline Bookstore, Getsemani Record Publishing, Heartline Academy of Media (training), and Heartline Banquet (guest rooms and conference facilities), which have been developed through the years to supplement our broadcast ministry. Fri 25 Please keep Jimri in your prayers, the new director of FEBC Indonesia. Sammy T. served as our director in Indonesia for 42 years but stepped down this year. Pray that God will give Jimri wisdom and strength as he navigates this ministry forward. Sat 26 I really like your Sharing and Prayer program, writes a young listener from Indonesia. The songs are good, the prayers are beautiful, and I can hear the Word of God. I hope you continue to bless us with this program. Cambodia Sun 27 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Christianity comprises only 2% of the 15 million who live in Cambodia, and that includes both Catholics and Protestants. The main religion, Buddhism (95%), does not involve a regular worship service. Instead, they practice a cultural-based faith, rooted in rituals passed down from generation to generation. Please pray for the work FEBC Cambodia is doing for the Kingdom. Mon 28 FEBC Cambodia s staff visits churches all over Cambodia and encourages people to tune in to their broadcasts. Pray that people will tune in to listen. Tue 29 While other ministries assist prisoners, our Cambodian staff saw a great need to care for the families of these prisoners, who are often forgotten. Pray for this initiative. Wed 30 The Voice of Love mobile program is now targeting 7 provinces in Cambodia, with people who can t hear traditional broadcasting because they live in remote areas. This audio box will help villagers hear God s word, many for the first time. DECEMBER Thu 1 Our team in Cambodia is so encouraged by

numerous stories of changed lives by listeners who tune in to FEBC. Many who received radios at listener rallies are now tuning in regularly. Please pray that their faith will grow and their lives will be renewed through Christ. Fri 2 FEBC Cambodia is grappling with a land issue and we d like to ask you to pray that this will be resolved peacefully and fairly. Sixteen years ago we purchased the land where our broadcast equipment is housed, but others are now claiming ownership of it. Please pray that the courts will resolve it soon. Sat 3 Pray for the implementation of strategic initiatives recently developed by our Cambodia team, as they established goals and plans for the future, as well as trained emerging leaders within their offices, to groom the next generation of ministry leaders at FEBC. Kazakhstan Sun 4 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Due to recent terrorist activities in the Middle East by ISIS and other terrorist groups, Kazakhstan has imposed strict control on all religious activities. This is having a negative impact on Christians, despite the fact that Christians make up a very small and peaceful percentage of the country. FEBC is still reaching listeners on shortwave and internet broadcasts, but is now focusing on sharing Christ rather than Christianity. This less religious approach seems to be more acceptable in the Muslim community. Pray for the FEBC team in Kazakhstan, as they spread the Word under delicate circumstances. assist FEBC Kazakhstan by recording programs in our studio. These faithful volunteers allow us to build a large team of voices and witnesses for the Lord without employing additional staff. Tue 6 Christians in Kazakhstan have few financial resources with which to aid the ministry, but they are willing to give their time to share the Gospel. Praise God for good talkshow hosts who have developed from this pool of volunteers. Wed 7 Please pray for Ruslan, a professor in political science in Almaty, who is also a devoted follower of Christ and preacher, who joined our team in Kazakhstan. Pray that Ruslan will become a key member of our ministry there and help us further develop spiritual conversations with our listeners. Thu 8 Please pray for Rev. Nurlan, and other broadcasters as well, that God will give them wisdom in their talkshows as they present the truth and share Christ with the people of Kazakhstan. The programs are currently made available through our website. Fri 9 The new Christians in Kazakhstan is now facing increased persecution by both family members and society. Please be praying for their safety and freedom to worship the one true God. Mon 5 Please pray for Christian volunteers who Sat 10 Please pray for Kazakhstan. Pray specifically that God will remove any obstacles that are preventing FEBC from securing an FM frequency in the capital city of Astana and Almaty, their largest city. Kyrgyzstan Sun 11 WEEKLY SUMMARY: FEBC Kyrgyzstan presents itself as a family-focused station, providing talkshows on family matters. Although the station cannot broadcast pure Christian content, like worship music and preaching, the staff talks about life matters from a Godly position and Christian perspective. The station does a lot of pioneering work for the first generation church of Kyrgyzstan. Pray that their efforts will bear fruit. 5

Wed 14 Please pray for our gospel broadcasts to the people of Issyk-Kul, a region of 500,000 people, mostly Muslims. Christians here are part of the first generation church. Pray that our programs will reach listeners willing to hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Thu 15 Please pray for a proposed new station in the southern city of Toktogul, Kyrgyzstan, which is a strategically important area, as there are only a handful of believers living here. Pray for government approval of the proposed station. Mon 12 We have a young and eager staff, including part-time personnel. Pray for our station manager and his workers, who are eager to reach the Kyrgyz people with the gospel. Tue 13 Most Kyrgyz Christians are young, serving as pioneers of the first generation church in Kyrgyzstan. Ask God to bless them and the work they are doing in service of the Kingdom. Fri 16 Please pray for Ulanbek, who oversees FEBC s Kyrgyz broadcasts. He also trains our talkshow hosts in Kyrgyzstan. Pray that the Lord will bless him, his staff and their ministry in this culturally-muslim nation. Sat 17 Thank the Lord for this listener: I ve been listening to your station and your programs seem to be good food for thought. Recently I met a Christian; the way he lives proves much of what you say. Somehow, I feel I m acknowledging God and worshipping Him. Sun 18 WEEKLY SUMMARY: FEBC Myanmar concentrates on building closer relationships with every listener who contacts them. They divide the mail into two types: non-believers and believers. FEBC Myanmar mainly focuses on non-believers, but also helps Christian listeners connect to other ministries as follow-up and support to their spiritual needs. The programs consist of 50% Christian content, 50% general knowledge, health, and other contemporary entertainment. Pray for FEBC Myanmar s vision and work. Mon 19 Pray for inspiration for the team in Myanmar to develop new programs that will reach this predominantly Buddhist nation of 55 million. Myanmar Tue 20 Ask the Lord to lead and heal director Yankee, who recently underwent throat surgery. May he be of service to the Kingdom for many more healthy years. Wed 21 The team broadcasts in ethnic languages and go to great lengths to respond to and follow up on all listener responses. Pray that they can persist with these sometimes draining efforts. 6 Thu 22 The Lisu people live in southwest China, Myanmar, Thailand, and India. Shortwave broadcasts nurture the Lisu church. Praise God for how He used FEBC to build this vital ethnic church. Fri 23 Please pray for additional funds to purchase portable radios. For many, receiving a radio from

FEBC is the only way they ll ever be able to tune in to our broadcasts and learn the truth about their Saviour, Jesus Christ. Sat 24 My son and I have regularly listened to your radio programs. But now our radio is broken and we can no longer listen. Still, we thank God for the booklets that you sent, which teach us about God. North Korea Sun 25 WEEKLY SUMMARY: As the free Christian world celebrates Christmas, North Korean Christians aren t as lucky. Autonomous religious activities are now almost non-existent in North Korea; government-sponsored religious groups exist to provide the illusion of religious freedom. But FEBC reaches into the communist country via radio airwaves from Jeju Island in South Korea! We now have 11 radio stations and reach most of Korea, including North Koreans who quietly and carefully listen to the broadcasts in their homes and learn about Christ. Pray for these North Koreans, as well as the millions that FEBC still wants to reach. Mon 26 The government continues to exert intense pressure on underground churches, using tactics that make the churches that do persist, extremely wary. Pray that the church will survive and thrive! Tue 27 Since it is extremely dangerous for missionaries to enter North Korea, Christians and seekers depend on Christian radio for spiritual growth. Praise God that airwaves cannot be stopped by totalitarian governments. Wed 28 Pray that God will provide funds and opportunities for more antennas and radio stations to broadcast into North Korea. Thu 29 Pray for the staff who oversees our ministry. They work under the most uncertain of circumstances but do so with joy and faith. Ask that they are blessed! Fri 30 Pray for the safety of Christians in this remote country. Pray, too, that hearts will respond to the message of Christ s love and His gift of salvation. Sat 31 Please pray that FEBC programs aired in South Korea will continue to find their way to listeners in North Korea, offering them the love of Christ in an otherwise difficult environment. Many who tune in secretly have found renewed hope in Jesus. Pakistan JANUARY 2017 Sun 1 WEEKLY SUMMARY: With 193 million people of which almost 97% are Muslim, Pakistan is the world s second largest Muslim nation. FEBA Communications (FEBCOM) established its regional office in Pakistan in May 1974 and the first broadcast of ZKS, Zindagi Kay Sung (Along with Life) went on air in 1988 via shortwave. Join us this week as we pray for the strategic broadcasts of FEBA Pakistan. Mon 2 ZKS s first program catered for the interests and needs of the majority population. Pray for this long-running shortwave program, which still broadcasts every evening. 7

Tue 3 Please pray for the production and broadcast of programs in six languages. Particularly focus your prayer on Urdu ZKS and its follow-up program Journey of Truth. Wed 4 Please pray for the follow-up with listeners, including the correspondence courses and annual listeners camps. Thu 5 Pray for the development of the FM broadcasts as they can t explicitly broadcast the gospel, but need to use different strategies to reach into their listener s hearts. Fri 6 The programs focus on community development, like health programs and information about the availability of pure drinking water. Pray for new and innovative ideas for the programmers. Sat 7 Pray that FEBA Pakistan will be able to still share the gospel strategically and pray for the safety of the staff and Christian listeners. Philippines Sun 8 WEEKLY SUMMARY: The Philippines is one of the world s largest Catholic countries. With almost 83% of the 105 million population who consider themselves Catholic, only 4% are Christian. After China s doors closed for foreign missionaries in 1948, FEBC s operating centre moved to the Philippines and started broadcasting to the rest of South- East Asia via shortwave from Manila. Join us as we pray for FEBC Philippines this week. Mon 9 FEBC s first broadcasts over local station KZAS went on air on the 4th of June Praise God that this station still broadcasts till this day! Wed 11 FEBC Philippines is now home to a network of nine local broadcasting stations and two international transmitter sites at Iba and Bocaue. Pray for the staff of all of these stations. Thu 12 Pray for the broadcasts of the six shortwave transmitters, which broadcast programs in more than 60 languages and dialects to China and Southeast Asia for more than 36 hours daily. Fri 13 A number of special programs are aired on commercial stations to reach specific people groups. Pray that God will use these strategically placed Tue 10 International broadcasts to China started in July 1949 with the help of Chinese Filipino Christians. By the end of 1949, FEBC had 27 languages on the air. Praise God for this major part of FEBC s global ministry. 8 broadcasts to reach these people groups. Sat 14 Filipino people are open to the gospel because of their Catholic heritage. Pray that the truth of Jesus message will reach their hearts and affect their lives.

Sun 15 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Russia has a population of 144 million people, of which most are Orthodox or Catholic Christians. Politically Russia is open to the gospel, but in truth, this is a country with many moral and community development issues, and the people needs Jesus. Please join us this week while we pray for Russia and FEBC s ministry there. Russia Mon 16 FEBC Russian Ministries broadcasts the Good News in Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia. Thu 19 Pray for the team of more than 20 broadcasters and leaders in Russia, Ukraine, and Central Asia who are working hard to bring the Good News to their countrymen. Fri 20 FEBC Russian Ministries is relying on gifts and donations of supporting individuals, churches and organisations, to stay on air. Please pray for more supporters. Sat 21 Even though Russia is a bit more open to the Christian message, they use cell phone apps and the Internet rather than radio broadcasts to share the gospel. Please pray for these alternative means. South Korea grown into a major Christian radio network broadcasting to 11 cities in South Korea. Mon 23 Please pray that FEBC s broadcasts will reach the 33.6 million South Koreans who still do not know Christ, even though the country is known as Christian. Tue 24 FEBC Korea broadcasts a total of 260 hours in Korean, 7.25 hours in Chinese, 1 hour in English, 1.25 hours in Japanese, and half an hour in Russian each day. Pray for the programmers who strategically produce these broadcasts. Sun 22 WEEKLY SUMMARY: 39% of South Korea s 49 million people are Christians, making Christianity the majority religion in South Korea. In December 1956, HLKX Seoul was established to broadcast the gospel to North Korea, China, Russia, and Mongolia countries where missionaries were not allowed. Pray with us for FEBC Korea, which has Wed 25 Pray for FEBC Korea s additional ministry, where they are involved in the community through marriage and family seminars, counselling, concerts and children s choirs that serve as international ambassadors. Sun 29 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Of 24 million people in Taiwan, 84 % speak Taiwanese and 14% Chinese, making broadcast into Taiwan easy, because most people understand comparable languages. Only 4.5% of the population are Christian, the majority religion being Buddhism and Taoism. Please join us as we pray for this country, that still doesn t know Jesus. Mon 30 The ministry in Taiwan was established in February 1988, as a program production centre for our Chinese ministry. Pray for these Chinese producers working in Taiwan. Taiwan Tue 31 Praise God for these programs, which are coordinated by the Chinese Ministry Office at FEBC Hong Kong and are broadcasting into China from the Philippines and Korea. FEBRUARY 2016 Wed 1 The Taiwan ministry serves as a bridge between foundations and churches in remote areas to assist students with after-school counselling and guidance. Please pray that God will provide the necessary funds. Thu 2 FEBC is helping to connect these foundations and churches, suggesting possible ways for churches to develop this missionary field. Pray for this additional ministry. Fri 3 Pray for the broadcasters who need to strategically produce programs that will reach into these Buddhist hearts of the Taiwanese people. Sat 4 Pray for the safety of every Christian in Taiwan. They often face rejection from friends and family for making the choice to follow Jesus. Thailand Sun 5 WEEKLY SUMMARY: Thailand, a Southeast Asian country, has a population of almost 68 million people. While the people of Thailand has the freedom to choose their own religion, the majority (95%) are Buddhist, hence the saying, to be Thai is to be Buddhist. In 1951, FEBC started producing Thai language programs in North East Thailand and aired it via shortwave from the Philippines. Join us as we pray for FEBC Thailand s staff who work hard to reach the people of Thailand with the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 Mon 6 Buddhism is interwoven in all aspects of Thai culture and many Buddhist people still have no knowledge of Christianity. Pray that God will bless this additional ministry. Vietnam Sun 12 WEEKLY SUMMARY: As most people know, Vietnam is still largely closed to the gospel, and spreading it there can be a difficult task. Vietnam is one of the least religious countries in the world. According to official statistics from the government, as of 2014, there are 24 million people identified with one of the recognised organised religions, out of a population of 90 million. The religion practised most past 60 years, which has continued to grow in spite of challenges, reaping an incredible harvest of souls as men and women hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
