Parents must be a registered members of the Church of Saint Patrick. One Godparent must be confirmed, practicing Catholic. Both must be Christian and at least 16 years old. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: The Sacrament of Reconciliation is administered on Saturday 3:00 to 3:30 or you may call the Parish Office for an appointment. SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY: Archdiocesan policy requires couples to make an appointment with a priest or deacon at the parish at least six months before the date of the marriage. 3 Third Sunday In Ordinary Time Our Core Mission Priorities Our core mission priorities recast the focus of our efforts, so that we are forming disciples who are mission ready and actively engaged in personal and pastoral missionary conversion. The core mission priorities are: Liturgy to fully and intentionally engage in prayer, worship, and sacramental life that flow from baptism and reverential participation in the Eucharist the source and summit of our faith. Welcome to practice radical hospitality and welcome as Jesus did, seeking out the disenfranchised and vulnerable and creating a sense of fellowship and belonging that is grounded in love for each other and humble gratitude to God. Encounter t o continually experience our own conversion and bring others to experience the same through evangelization, revealing the truth of the Gospel and witnessing to others how we ourselves have encountered Christ. Accompaniment to grow as disciples of Christ and nurture growth in others as we study, share, and live out the teachings of Christ and his Church through education, faith formation, and discipleship endeavors. Sending to bring Christ to the world, practicing discipleship and encouraging each other through friendship and service as we support the work of the Church, provide for the material and pastoral care of the poor and suffering and advocate for the discernment of vocations in life, especially priestly vocations for those who feel called in this way. Mission Support to enact wise stewardship of the gifts God has granted us, the legacy entrusted to us by those who have preceded us in the faith, and the hope that lies in future generations of the faithful, so that our resources may be channeled to support the mission of disciple-making first and foremost. If they wish to receive the Eucharist or the Sacrament of the Sick, because of a serious illness or major surgery, arrangements will be made when you call the Parish Office. 4 m Third Sunday In Ordinary Time TREE OF LIFE The Tree of Life located in the side vestibule of the Church, was dedicated on June 12, 2010, as a lasting memorial for our Parish. You may wish to dedicate a leaf on the Tree of Life to honor a special person or occasion. The Church of Saint Patrick has many capital projects that require extraordinary financial support. You may designate the project you wish to support with your donation. Call the Parish Office for more details. National March for Life St Patrick's Respect Life has several members attending the National March For life in Washington DC on January 27th. The options for transportation are by bus from St Ignatius in Hickory or my MARC Train out of Aberdeen. Please contact Tony Vitelli for bus reservation information or if you want to take the train contact Ellen Eltgroth at Save The Date Vacation Bible School July 31-August 4, :30pm to 8:00pm Have you made chili for Our Daily Bread Lately? They depend on us. You will find pans & the recipe in the vestibule. We ask that you return the frozen chili to the Parish Office and it will be delivered to Our Daily Bread. Alzheimer s & Dementia Support Group. The Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Convent on Stokes Street. REMINDER: Rosary for Life is the 2nd Saturday at 3:15. Galactic Starveyors kids will be marveled in the sky by the Creator of the universe, they will discover the wonder among all wonders that the God who created everything there is the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible wants a personal relationship with them! Invite your kids into the clubhouse and show them the God who is over-the-moon in love with them. Please consider volunteering to help make VBS for our kids a success. If Harford County Schools are closed due to snow, ice, or inclement weather the parish office will be closed and ALL parish meetings, functions and classes are cancelled that day and evening. If Harford County Schools are delayed one hour or two hours, parish offices will follow the same delay in opening.
