Talk About the Bible Story BTH 5 Open your Bible to Luke 1 and Matthew 1 and tell the story in your own words. Thank you, God for sending your son. Art Center: Announcing Angels Supplies provided: Doilies, blue construction paper, 3 inch circle, white paint, 1 small paper plate, star stickers, markers, glue, and Bible phrase. Write on the top of the blue paper, Jesus is born! Give each child a quarter size doily and a sheet of blue construction paper. Have the child glue the doily to the center of the paper, with the pointed side up. Let each child decorate a paper circle to look like a face of an angel. Glue the circle angel face to the pointed end of the doily. Help children press their palms in white paint and then press their palms next to doilies to create the angels wings.

Art Center: Make a Star Supplies provided: Die-cut star on yellow construction paper, glitter gold, glue, ribbon and Bible phrase Give each child a yellow Star. Help each child glue glitter on their star and attach their Bible Phrase. Punch a hole in the top the star and attach ribbon to the star Bonus Activities Bean Bag Toss Supplies: Bucket and bean bags Lay a bucket on the floor and have the children take turns throwing bean bags in the bucket as they name off items the Wisemen brought for baby Jesus. As children play, tell the Bible story and remark how God chose Mary and Joseph to be Jesus family.

Encourage children to draw on 1 paper plate a Happy face. On the 2 nd plate have children draw a sad face. Glue plates together to the popsicle stick Glue the Bible phrase to the paper. Bonus Activities Look at Books with Friends Supplies: Classroom books Direct children to sit with friends and look at books. Comment that Jesus wants people to be kind to their friends even when their friends are not nice or kind. collect their craft and Kids Activity page before they leave..
