3 Prayer Corner Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12 A List to Live By: Caring for one another. Love one another. Be kind to one another. Honor one another. Encourage one another. Confront one another. Comfort one another. Serve one another. Be patient with one another. Forgive one another. Pray for one another. St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. James - selected from the Bible As mothers I believe we need a little (maybe a lot) of this list practiced on us. None of us are as perfect as we d like to be. Prayer would really help. In between the special days we could practice on each other too. And this is His command: to believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us. 1 John 3:23 The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 Draw near. Come boldly. Come often. Happy Mother s Day! Coffee and dessert will be served at Covenant CRC in Winnipeg (653 Knowles Ave) on Monday, May 27 at 7pm. Harry is looking forward to seeing you! Mother's Day is among the most appropriate to reflect on the true meaning of love. A Mother's love is often a personification of I Corinthians 13:4-7. Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous; is not proud; is not conceited; does not act foolishly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked to anger; keeps no record of wrongs; takes no pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. ~I Corinthians 13:4-7 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, One of our members of Ancaster (Ontario) Christian Reformed Church is missing and we are seeking the help of churches across North America in hopes of locating him or his truck. Two men came to his home under pretense of a test drive for the truck he was selling. He went with them and has not been seen since. There is a facebook page set up called "Help Find Tim Bosma" and there is a poster and links on this site with his picture and the Hamilton (Ontario) Police Services contact info. If your members would be willing to share this post on their own facebook to create awareness, that would be very helpful. The poster can also be printed for posting for any who might have access to public places. Any information than can be obtained would greatly help the investigation. Above all, we covet your prayers - strength for his wife and daughter, his family and friends, and for wisdom and safety for the police and all those searching for him. Sincerely, Friends of Tim Bosma at Ancaster CRC

5 Looking for something to do in the morning? The Breakfast Club is looking for 3 or 4 volunteers to help out in serving breakfast at Wayota School. The club provides food to children who may not have enough to eat before going to school so they need your help. PM: Christian Reformed World Missions: CRWM exists to glorify God by leading the CRC to respond obediently to our Lord s commissions to witness to the good news of God s kingdom and make disciples of all nations. Bringing salvation to the ends of the earth is a vision that grips CRWM. These opportunities have been found through short-term and some long-term outreach programs.

This year's VBS will be running from July 8th to the 12th. We need many volunteers to help make VBS a success once again this year. We especially need station leaders for the Games Station and Imagination Station, as well as at least 8 group leaders. Please prayerfully consider helping out in these areas. If you feel that VBS is right for you or if you have any questions, please speak to Lizanne LeFloch. ( or lizandremy@yahoo.ca) Sea To Sea 2013 update: Sunny and some warm weather has arrived. Joyce and I are finally getting some training done outside. We also still have not met our goal of 10,000 dollars each for the cause of ending the cycle of poverty. We are currently at 14,000, which means we have another 6,000 more to raise. There are a number of people who are committed to making a donation but have not yet, so when that comes in we will be around 3000 dollars short of our goal. The congregation has been a great support to us, at our soup supper, pancake breakfasts, individually and through food donations, for the IN2013 conference that we catered. We are going to have a collection in on May 19th in the morning service, so we are asking you to consider this great cause one more time, and give generously. The money goes to Sea To Sea, which is raising money and awareness for World Renew (formally CRWRC), Reformed Churches of America, and Partners Worldwide. 35 percent of the funds will be staying in North America for local causes that also support stopping the cycle of poverty. I should add that we actually have four people in our congregation going as Bev and John Steendam have also signed up as volunteer help to keep Joyce and I and the rest of the cyclists going. They will be cooking for us and hauling around our camping equipment. It is getting exciting. We are leaving Winnipeg on June 21st, to start cycling on June 24th, which about 5 weeks away. Thanks. Harvey and Joyce.
