4 Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs for My people to assemble and worship Me, because I have made an appointment with them, to meet with them and reveal My will in this season. The Primary purpose of the Sun, Moon, Planets, and Stars is to serve as signs from God to His people to Assemble, Worship Him, and to Be ready for God to reveal His will.

Matthew 24: For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

12 4 Main opinions, and what do they mean. No Rapture There are main denominations of Christianity that do not believe in the rapture at all and state so in their doctrinal beliefs, and on their websites.

13 4 Main opinions, and what do they mean. Pre-Tribulation 1.) The pre-tribulation position advocates that the rapture will occur before the beginning of a seven-year tribulation period (Daniel Ch. 9&12, Matthew Ch. 24, Book of Revelation), while the second coming will occur at the end of it. Pre-tribulation often describes the rapture as Jesus coming for the church and the second coming as Jesus coming with the church.

14 4 Main opinions, and what do they mean. Mid-Tribulation The mid-tribulation position supports that the rapture will occur during Daniel's 70th Week (about 3.5 years into the tribulation). Mid-tribulationists hold that Christians will go through the first 3.5 years, but will be raptured into Heaven before the severe outpouring of God's wrath in the second half of what is popularly called the great tribulation. Mid-tribulationists reference Daniel 7:25 which says the saints will be given over to tribulation for "time, times, and half a time," - interpreted to mean 3.5 years.

15 4 Main opinions, and what do they mean. Post-Tribulation The post-tribulation position places the rapture at the end of the tribulation period. The rapture would be identical to the second coming of Jesus or as a meeting in the air with Jesus that immediately precedes his return to the Earth before a literal millennium. Post-tribulation belief defines the tribulation period in a generic sense as the entire present age, or in a specifically a period of time preceding the second coming of Christ. The emphasis in this view is that the church will undergo the tribulation.

17 What Does the Old Testament Say About It? 3 Feasts in the O.T. 3 Feasts which Israel is to go to Jerusalem to worship the Lord; Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles They each fall on a harvest Passover = Barley Pentecost = Wheat Tabernacles = Grapes These feasts are centered on Harvest. The coming of the Lord, Matthew 13, in centered on a harvest of souls.

18 What Does the Old Testament Say About It? 3 Feasts in the O.T. Each type of Harvest has to be dealt with differently. Barley, when harvested, is Winnowed. Wheat has to be separated and crushed Grapes have to be pressed

19 Passover/Barley Pre-Trib, Rapture Harvest Cycle: First Fruits Feast of First Fruits Barley has to be winnowed, not crushed, its too delicate

20 Passover/Barley Pre-Trib, Rapture Wind in Hebrew is roo'-akh = Spirit, Holy Spirit (roo'- akh-ha-ko'-desh) The chaff (Junk in our lives), is removed from us as the Holy Spirit blows in and out of our life.

21 Passover/Barley Pre-Trib, Rapture Feast of Unleavened Bread connected to it. There is no leaven allowed to be put in bread during Passover. (7 days of Unleavened Bread). Leaven represents Sin

22 Passover/Barley Pre-Trib, Rapture Unleavened represents those who have allowed Jesus into their lives to remove their sin, and who have been faithful to His word. Revelation ch 2&3 To him that Overcomes, overcomes what? Sin. How do we overcome sin? Through Faith in, and being faithful to Jesus Christ.

25 Pentecost/Wheat Mid-Trib 144,000 Jews and the Martyrs During this feast the Priest Makes 2 loaves of bread with Leaven This group of people, who remain after the Rapture, have Leaven (Sin) they did not repent before the rapture. 2 Groups Revelation 7 144,000 Jews that accept Jesus as Messiah, are sealed with the mark of the Living God. Martyrs (Too many to count)
