6 FELLOWSHIP ONERNING THE USE OF BOWER HOUSE, LONDON, UK Bower House, located in Northeast London, was purchased at the end of August last year. The Bower House property is presently the only property in Europe owned by all the saints in the Lord s recovery, yet Europe has a population which is almost double that of the United States. Although Bower House was purchased less than a year ago, only about 30% of its purchase price, or approximately $2,000,000, (USD), remains to be paid in order for the property to be completely clear of debt. Bower House is actually a property of several buildings of more than 30,000 square feet on 9 acres of land overlooking downtown London. It was originally a country house built in the early 18 th century. A few years ago, the property was purchased by Ford Motor ompany as a training center for its employees, and additional buildings were added. At present, there is accommodation for more than 150 persons and meeting space for about 350 persons as well as dining and office facilities. Before selling the property, Ford Motor ompany was able to get plans approved for additional expansion to bring the accommodation level to about 250 persons and the seating capacity to about 800 persons. We hope to be able to make these conversions in the near future. The Bower House property houses many activities related to the work including Amana Trust, which is a non-profit entity created for the carrying out of the work in the UK. Other functions include FTTL, the Full-time Training in London; Amana Books, which sells and distributes Living Stream Ministry publications; Rhema Trust, which distributes Living Stream Ministry publications for free in the UK and other Western European countries; London typesetting which typesets Living Stream Ministry publications in the various European languages; the activities of the London daily radio broadcast of Life-study of the Bible on Premier Radio; offices for the Mainland Scholars Work (caring for scholars in European universities from mainland hina); and meeting and office space of the church in London. London is ideally situated to be the center for the carrying out of the work in Europe. Nearly every major European city has inexpensive flights to London s Stansted Airport that is less than one-half hour from Bower House. Soon, the Eurostar high-speed train service will have a station stop within one-half hour of Bower House, thus affording the way for one to arrive in France in about an hour after boarding. We thank the Lord that we now have a facility for so many aspects of the work including many conferences and trainings. To help keep the saints up-to-date with activities at Bower House as well as those throughout Europe, we have a website which is updated at least bi-weekly and has many links to various European activities.
